98. Ice Age Trail Thru-Hike - Planning Q&A
This fall, I will set out to thru-hike the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, one of 11 National Scenic Trails. The Ice Age Trail (IAT) is a 1,200 mile trail that winds around the state of Wisconsin following the edge of the last continental glacier from ~10,000 years ago. Making the IAT a thru-hike means I am setting out to hike the whole trail in one go. (Something I’ve wanted to do for 10+ years!!!) I am planning to complete the hike in two months, meaning I need to average 20+ miles per day.
