Ready Set Reiki

Episode #167 Lexi Godlewski Transforming Your Life: The Soul Entrepreneur's Path

Tracy searight

Have you ever achieved everything you were "supposed to" yet felt completely unfulfilled? What if the path to genuine success isn't about following society's roadmap but listening to the quiet voice of your own intuition?

Soul entrepreneur and TEDx speaker Lexi Godlewski joins Tracy  to share her powerful journey from external success to authentic alignment. After climbing the corporate ladder in her early twenties—complete with promotions and pay raises—Lexi found herself experiencing daily anxiety attacks and profound unhappiness. The wake-up call came when a coworker silently took her own life, prompting Lexi to question how many people around her were suffering behind professional facades. This moment catalyzed her transformation from corporate employee to purpose-driven entrepreneur.

Through journaling, meditation, and deep introspection, Lexi discovered that marketing doesn't have to be manipulative—it can come from a place of service rather than sales pressure. She introduces her powerful "one-one-one strategy" for authentic business growth: identify one dream customer, one core problem they're facing, and one solution you can offer. This clarity eliminates the overwhelm of trying to follow every marketing trend or reinvent the wheel.

What makes this conversation particularly meaningful for Reiki practitioners and healing arts professionals is Lexi's emphasis on intuition as our "hidden superpower." She explains how to distinguish between the voice in your head (often driven by fear) and the voice in your heart (which always knows the way forward). Through consistent practice—starting with small intuitive nudges—this muscle strengthens, eventually leading to extraordinary possibilities beyond what we could imagine.

Discover how to transform your life and business by aligning soul with strategy. As Lexi powerfully asks: "What is actually possible when you believe in yourself, and what if there are people out there waiting for your magic?"

Speaker 1:

But then, having the experience of those that have had a Reiki session and they have that little bit of calling to move on to a practitioner and have a business, but they have that fear within them to, you know, unsure if they can make it, the fear, the doubt, the worry, and how can they transform their lives in a way that they can be their true, authentic nature.

Speaker 2:

Hi Tracy. Thanks so much for having me on the show. I'm so happy to be here, Beautiful.

Speaker 1:

So, as I gave you a little introduction of what you do and the amazing things that you are doing, tell us a little bit about yourself.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean, there's so many things that we could go into but really all my life I have followed the path that I thought I was quote unquote supposed to take, so went to school, did all the extracurriculars, got good grades um, you know, just followed this path that I thought I was supposed to take and that really led me to college where I studied business and marketing. And even as a senior in college I started to get my feet wet with entrepreneurship a little bit, aka, I would go to the dining hall between work and classes and I started actually coaching friends and doing marketing consulting for startups and helping them with their marketing. So it kind of got me introduced into this world of entrepreneurship in a very passion driven way. And then I graduated and got this full timetime job where I was really externally succeeding. I was a 22, 23-year-old, fresh out of college and yet I was getting promoted, I was getting pay raises, I was hiring team members to join my team with me and I was really climbing the ladder and finding all this external success.

Speaker 2:

But on the inside I was totally unfulfilled. I hated my life, I hated going to work every day and at this very young age I already started to question like is this all there is now? Do I just wake up, go to a job I hate, get a paycheck, rinse or pee every day now for the rest of my life? And so I was going through those motions and really starting to figure it out and at the same time, my soul was really calling me to go back to my roots of what I was doing in college, of wanting to coach people and wanting to do marketing, consulting and all these things. And so I started to really battle my own demons, where I started to experience daily anxiety attacks. I got really depressed and I was just unfulfilled with life in general. And one day, out of the blue, we experienced my team and I experienced one of my coworkers had silently taken her own life and it really shook my world because I worked with this woman every day and I consider myself to be very emotionally intelligent, and yet I had no idea that she must have been feeling so much different than how she showed up at work every day. And that experience really shook me to my core because it really started to make me ask myself how many other people around me are unfulfilled, are experiencing anxiety attacks, are depressed, are wanting more out of life that I don't even realize are right around me.

Speaker 2:

And so a few months after that, I decided to really go all in on listening to my soul and following those callings that were in my heart, of starting my own business, of starting to live life fully, of creating the life that I actually wanted, that I dreamed of. And so I left that nine to five, started my own business from scratch and really went into what I consider that first year of to be my personal development bootcamp, where I was reading books all the time, I was working on myself, I was meditating. That year really started to introduce me to energy, work and energy and just tuning into your emotions and your inner guidance. And how do you start to um follow that? So it really was. That first year was very challenging, but also very magical at the same time, because it started to open my eyes up to this whole different way of living.

Speaker 2:

And so in that first month when I started my own business and I left that nine to five, one of the very first things I did was I had my journal and I started to ask myself, what is it that I wanted? Not what did society want for me, what did my family want for me, what did this or the other person want for me? I sat down and I really asked myself what do I want? What's the life I want? What's the vision I have for my life? How do I want to be spending my days? Yada, yada, yada, and I really started to map out a completely different life than the one I was living in these journal pages. And I still have this journal and it's funny to go back and read it, because the things I dreamed about were having my own business and making a bigger impact and really using my gifts. Living by the beach I love that. I love living by water. That lights me up so much. Going on adventures, making new friends, doing things outside my comfort zone. And so then, over the years, those things that I wrote about in the journal started to slowly but surely come true, one after another.

Speaker 2:

So, a few years after I left that job and started my own business, I also then transformed my life and up and moved from New York to Hawaii, where I had never been before, I didn't know anyone. It literally was a soul calling of. I've always wanted to live by the ocean, and then some opportunities came up that allowed me to do that, and so, then, taking that leap of faith and listening to my soul in that way opened me up to a whole new world of experiences, and it really just showed me how there is so much more trying to happen for you when you tune in to your soul and you listen to that voice within you. And it just amused me every day how my life would unravel and the different things that would happen because I listened to that voice within me. And so, when I got back into marketing, consulting and starting my own business, one of the things that I learned was how many slimy and manipulative marketers there are out there, and that's from someone who my background is in marketing.

Speaker 2:

I studied this, I know this, and then, when I went to go market my own business, I realized, whoa, there are so many different shady pieces of advice when it comes to marketing out there, and again I knew that there had to be a way to market in a way that was authentic, in a way that was real, in a way that was genuine and yet still strategic at the same time, so that it worked and you were able to promote your business.

Speaker 2:

And that's when this whole idea of becoming a solopreneur was born of. There's got to be a way to lead with the callings in your heart and also market and promote the business and create the life and the business you want in a way that is authentic and aligned but still strategic at the same time. So that's what we're doing today is helping entrepreneurs and helping I work with a lot of just purpose-driven leaders, people in the wellness space market with soul and with heart, but still strategy at the same time, to help them not only create the life they want but also the business they want and ultimately make the impact that they want as well. Right, they want and ultimately make the impact that they want as well.

Speaker 1:

Right Cause many that get the calling they're like, okay, I've connected with this energy, now what? And it gets so overwhelming and they find you know that culturally created self that we're supposed to get the nine to five, right, we're supposed to go to college. And I know when I was in college, man, you had to have that engagement ring senior year, right, and then it was to get married and then everybody was asking what the kids are, where the kids are coming, and you have all these things and then you find yourself one day I don't want to do this anymore.

Speaker 2:

And you wake up and you're like what's this life that I created? I know, even at a young age I had a variety of those moments where I'd wake up and just be like what am I doing with my life?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and to the outsider they were envious, like, oh, I wish I had your life and you have it made, but meanwhile you're breaking inside and so it's that you know the grass isn't always as green greener on the other side. So yeah, now you talked about this entrepreneurship, helping those in the wellness. But you, during your journey, as you spoke about you know you journal which, by the way, I have my journal here. I cannot tell you how instrumental journaling is and writing it down from paper, you know, and pen, and getting it written down, things I've put in journals have amazingly come true. So it's interesting to go back and read it. So that's really important on the journey. I say for anybody as well. But in your time, where you're kind of trying to figure things out, you were connected with Reiki. So with Reiki, did you find Reiki or did it find you?

Speaker 2:

Oh, that's a great question. Find Reiki or did it find you? Oh, that's a great question. I feel like it found me. I feel like so.

Speaker 2:

When I left my full-time job and started my business, that was really the start of me wanting to just greatly transform my life, and so at that point, that's when I really started to get introduced to more holistic modalities.

Speaker 2:

Back in college, I had actually taken a class on meditation, and so I started to actually get into a routine of meditation, of journaling, and even back when I was in my nine to five, I remember every morning because I dreaded going to work every day, so every morning I would find some type of spiritual podcast or something that was inspiring and uplifting and I would play that on my way to work just to help me get into a better mindset.

Speaker 2:

And so once I really made that transition and I think more so, just made the decision that, okay, I want to live differently and I'm going to create a different life for myself, that's when all of these other things started to come to me, of different books to read, or I'd go do a Reiki session or just like this other way of living and being more in the flow and being more in tune with your intuition, your gut really started to come my way, so I definitely feel like it found me more than me finding it Sure sure, and it's perfectly fine just to have it as a part of your journey, as receiving the energy, because it's like a small piece of the puzzle that as you stand back you're like, wow, this little piece turned into this and now you're in a business where you're helping, support others.

Speaker 1:

So I've had experiences with individuals who've done Reiki and then they left the Reiki and they've gone on to card readings and massages and things like that. So it's just a small little piece in your journey that can help you kind of elevate to your true purpose and by listening to your intuition, which you teach your clients to do right, you look ahead into that right direction. So all these amazing things that you are doing, the holistic marketing, helping those get that purpose-driven leading with intention, which is really scary for some people here. So, as you're out helping others, what are you finding is a common misconception about the work that you do.

Speaker 2:

I think the biggest common misconception and especially just knowing the type of person I work with, which is most likely a lot of your audience a very just purpose driven.

Speaker 2:

They want to make an impact, they want to use their gifts for good and help other people with it. One of the common misconceptions I find is that they they equate marketing with slimy salesperson and they say I want nothing to do with that, like that is so not my world, which I agree with. I never want to come across as a slimy salesperson, but understanding that marketing in and of itself isn't slimy. There's just people out there who have taken it and misused it or used it to manipulate people to get what they want or to make more money or whatever it is. But marketing in and of itself doesn't have to be slimy. It doesn't have to feel gross to show up and promote your gifts or promote your business. You can do it in a way that is authentic and aligned and comes from a place of service instead of feeling like, oh, I need to show up and make a sale. It can come from this place of good heartedness, of intention, like you were saying, and feel authentic and aligned instead of forced and slimy.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah. And one of the reasons I created the podcast is, as I was having my business and as it was growing, someone reached out to me to be on a radio show and threw this pitch out. And then it was like, wow, this is amazing. And at the end of that pitch she said it'll be $1,500. And I'm like what? And you know it promised all these different things and I thought, wow, are people paying for this? And you know, so that was in that moment that I decided, you know what, I'm going to put a podcast together and then it would be free for individuals to come on who aren't that savvy with technology or do not have the time, or that, you know, put this together and say, hey, I was on this podcast, listen, so they're able to kind of send the audio to potential clients and put it on their website and so.

Speaker 1:

But I get a lot of people like you're not charging for this or they're kind of leery because they've had those experiences where they've shelled up the money and not gotten the results. So, yeah, there's some of us out there that genuinely want to be of service, out there to help individuals, because you know, there's no competition here. We're all supporting one another on this journey, and you were just one of those helpers on the path in the journey, here to help those that want to take it to that next level, for whatever reason. And usually you get right down to it, like what limits you from transformation? Usually tends to be that fear, right. And like, oh, I can't listen to that intuition. What if it guides me the wrong way? Right. So what has been the biggest challenge you have found in the profession that you are now in?

Speaker 2:

The biggest challenge I found is probably believing in the dream, to be honest with you, like, especially if you are in a world or community or whatever you want to call it of people who are living a different lifestyle, meaning maybe they don't practice Reiki, maybe they haven't experienced that yet, or maybe they're just very traditional in how they approach life or their routines or whatever it is.

Speaker 2:

It can be really scary when you have this idea and you have this dream and yet other people around you don't understand it or believe in it or understand why you would go, do that thing.

Speaker 2:

Like that, I think can be the scariest part of the entire journey, and so one of the things that I've really learned is that the dream you have within you is within you for a reason, and there's a reason why it's not in everyone else, because they have their own dreams that are unique to them, and so you have to trust that your dream is specifically within you and being called to you for a reason, and the more that you can really believe in that and trust that, and trust that your intuition, your inner guidance, is trying to show you the way and how to bring that to life.

Speaker 2:

That was a really big game changer for me. So instead of looking outside of myself for validation in my own dream, starting to believe in it in myself and have faith in myself and my dream and understand that it's in me for a reason, now let's go bring it to life. That really helped me a lot because otherwise I see it so much in the clients that I work with of just if there's a lack of belief in themselves or a lot of just resistance and bringing the dream to life, they'll get stuck in their own way in so many different ways. But when you really have that belief as well as the intention of no, I'm I. I have this dream, but I believe it's possible and I'm gonna go do what I can to bring it to life and show up in service to other people. There really is a magic that happens when you make that decision and that's been cool to see unravel in my own life.

Speaker 1:

Beautiful. Now, if someone, for some reason, isn able to connect with you or, you know, become your client, for whatever reason, what are some qualities that you look for? And what should we look for in someone who helps us with our marketing, you know, to help us grow our business?

Speaker 2:

Too many people have been burned by marketers, which I think is also what gives marketing this bad rep. So number one thing and I would say this comes down to when you are choosing a mentor to work with or a coach or a marketing consultant or even a client in your Reiki practice or whatever it is is really that sense of connection, making sure that you feel connected with that person. That sense of connection, making sure that you feel connected with that person and you also feel that they understand your mission and your dream and who you uniquely are and how you want to express that. Because what I see as a marketer in this space is that there's so many marketers out there who just try to sell this like cookie cutter approach and say this is how you have to do things, but now there are so many different ways that you could market your business and do it in a way that's aligned and authentic to you that it doesn't have to be a cookie cutter approach. And so one of the first things I do with my clients is get to the soul of their business, meaning what is the vision that you have, what's the mission that you have? Why do you want to bring this dream to life. What's getting in the way from you doing so?

Speaker 2:

Because understanding that allows you to then start creating the roadmap of where you want to go, and also understanding how you want to do that. Meaning, if you feel really passionate about speaking maybe it's speaking on stages or whatever it is you can go be on podcasts, you know, and market your business that way. If you feel really passionate about videos, and maybe video editing or making cool edits like that, you know, you can go start on YouTube or Instagram or whatever it is. If you feel really passionate about writing, you can go start a medium blog or a sub stack and start writing about the things you're passionate about writing. You can go start a medium blog or a sub stack and start writing about the things you're passionate about. So understanding that there isn't a cookie cutter approach, and so really look for someone who understands your vision, your mission and what you are uniquely good at, because once they understand that, they can actually give you a marketing approach that's going to feel aligned for you, versus just a cookie cutter approach.

Speaker 1:

Okay, what would you think would be a red flag? Like, is there something that you watch on social media or something that makes you cringe? Like, oh, how could they do this? Yeah.

Speaker 2:

The red flags for me and this might be an unpopular marketing opinion, but the red flags for me are just following the trends or what's hot right now, meaning, oh you know, tiktok's going off, so I need to go start a TikTok account, and now this app that I've never heard of before is going off, so I need to start this account. Or people are making reels about this, which means I have to do it the same way, like I. One of the things I always tell clients when we first start is rip up the rule book. Like there's no way that you have to do something. So, for me, when I see a marketer who says, like you have to do it this way or like this is the only way to do it, that's a red flag for me, because it's not true. Like there's there's an abundance of ways that you can market your business or get your message out there or share what you're doing with other people. It doesn't have to be just one way.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and maybe you're the trailblazer, right, I mean the trend that then goes off on Instagram or whatever. It is. Like you yeah, maybe I love that. You said that. Like maybe you are the trailblazer and the first person to do it, versus someone who's following the pack.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, because I know I did it too. It's at Vanity Matrix. We're like, oh, they're so successful, but you know they're putting like their best classes online. You know their best trainings online. You're seeing this. You're like, oh, how can I do all that? Or you feel like you're not doing enough. That's my other one, too, where I'm like, okay, relax. Like it's not a race, right. Like you feel like you always have to be doing more. So, even though you might be in this field for a while, these emotions come up as well. So it's perfectly fine to stop, redirect and see. You know someone like you that can help, kind of maybe move you in a different direction that you're afraid to go in?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and one of the questions that I love to leave my clients with is just how can I serve?

Speaker 2:

So, every day, when, if you just think to yourself, how can I serve today, and maybe that day all you could get to was the Reiki session that you had that really helped that person but if you always come back to that question of how can I serve, and then did I, did I serve today, that can really help start to navigate that feeling of like, oh my gosh, there's so much to do or I'm not posting enough content.

Speaker 2:

I'm not doing enough of this Like just show up from that place of service and say to yourself how can I show up and how can I serve today? Is that sending an email to someone? Is that posting something on social media? Is that emailing your newsletter? Is that showing up and giving a Reiki session? And when you can really just keep coming back to that place, that I found really helps me navigate those weeds of oh, I'm not doing enough or I need to be doing this or that. Just coming from that place of service and asking myself how can I show up and serve today really helps to ground me.

Speaker 1:

Sure. So I feel sometimes in this landscape it's kind of a healing arts buffet right, and people are just trying to grab what they can and see what fits. I kind of find I call it like find your Goldilocks, find your just right. So maybe someone has done a couple Reiki sessions or like this isn't for me. And then they're hearing this. I'm like, yes, like this amazing new word right, soul entrepreneur, right, the holistic amazing new word right, solo solopreneur, right the holistic marketeer, right All these amazing things that you're doing. So they're listening to this and like, yes, I think this is for me, this is my just right. What advice would you give somebody who's wanting to enter this type of profession?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, great question, I would say.

Speaker 2:

When it comes from a marketing angle and a marketing approach, one of the easiest things you can do in creating just your first marketing strategy is what I call the one-one-one strategy, and that means figuring out who is your one dream customer that you want to help, what is one core problem that they're facing and then what is one offer that you can put on the table to help create a solution to their problem.

Speaker 2:

So, one dream customer, one problem, one offer or solution. And when you can really dial that in and then just go and take that and start sharing it with people of saying, okay, I want to work with this specific demographic or this specific person, here's their problem they're facing and here's a Reiki package offer that I have to help you through that and just keep rinse and repeating that. That's going to take you a lot further than just chasing the latest trending reel on Instagram or whatever it is, because you have a solid foundation of like okay, here's who I'm trying to attract, here's who I want to work with, I understand what they're going through and here's how I'm going to help them through that. So if you're just getting started in this world and you're like Lexi, marketing like totally scares me or I'm nervous to do it. If you can just start with that and start to narrow down those three things, that's going to take you a lot further than you think.

Speaker 1:

Right, and remember it's steps. It's a journey, it's not a destination, and it's okay to stop and redirect. So it makes it where it's like okay, I can, this is attainable, I have that. Who's my dream, you know? Client, write it down in your journal, right, this is what I want, this is what I offer. And also, too, you don't have to reinvent the wheel. Also, there's so many offerings out there that you can tweak it a little bit and make it your own, and things like that.

Speaker 1:

So don't, it's hard, it's easy to get overwhelmed. You're like, oh, but try not to let that fear take it over. I was just speaking with someone the other day where you know there's no way around it. You have to go through it, right? It's like that kid's song, a Bear Hunt, right, can't go over it, can't go around it. Right, you're going to have to go through the fear and this is what helps you elevate to that next level. And then, by the time you get a little farther on the journey, you're like, wow, look at everything I've accomplished. You know, when you started out in your journey, did you ever imagine this is where you are today? Never, never. I thought you know my path was a school teacher, married and a mom, and this took me in a whole different direction. I never would have dreamed at five years old, right Doing the things that I've done. So yeah, and both of us, intuition led, we kind of said, nope, we're not going to follow along with our parents. Society it's like, yeah, no, and you know, trailblazers.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, the leading with the intuition piece has been so pivotal in my life, like it has taken me to your point, places that I couldn't even imagine were possible, experiences that I couldn't even imagine were possible, like new people in my world that I never knew existed before that. And it really is such a game changer and my story, I know, has like these very dramatic leaps of faith of I've moved across the country and I just quit my job. But it doesn't have to be big or dramatic like that. Like you can start listening to your intuition, your soul, in little ways, every day. Of when it tells you to text that friend you haven't talked to in six months, like pursue that and see what happens. Or when it tells you to to take a different path to work in the morning or whatever it is. Like you can start to listen to it and practice that muscle in little ways and even just doing that, see where it leads you versus when you don't listen.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I mean it's a practice too. You have to, like you said, with the muscle to exercise it. So even like play a little game or something with the universe right and you know like guess what's going to come on the radio or something.

Speaker 1:

So like there's different things that you can do and it'll grow. I mean, I people will say about my intuition and it's like you know, this wasn't always like that five years ago or 10 years ago. It's a daily practice and intention and things, and it'll grow with time. So, what books?

Speaker 2:

do you recommend? Oh my gosh, so many. One of my classic go-tos is you Are a Badass by Jen Sincero. I love that one. Another great one is I Am by Howard Falco. That one is beautiful and a lot of people don't know about that one, so I feel like it's a little bit of a hidden gem. And then, when it comes to more magic, marketing, business kind of book, seven Figure Goddess by Elizabeth Purvis is just a work of art. It is so, so good and just brings in the energetic alignment and how to show up as the version of you that you want to be in life and business, and it's really beautiful.

Speaker 1:

Beautiful. So out there helping others live life fully transforming. Do you offer any classes, events and trainings?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I do a lot of one-on-one work but here and there I do virtual workshops and that kind of thing and starting to get into more classes to teach and everything like that. But most of it is one-on-one work right now, with the sporadic workshop that people can attend as well.

Speaker 1:

Beautiful. Where can we find you? Are you online? Where can we find you in person?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, online mostly at Lexi Godlewski, and my website is LexiGodlewskicom, as well, as my handle is Lexi Godlewski on all major social media platforms as well.

Speaker 1:

Beautiful. All right, lexi. This ends the first part of our journey. I'm going to guide you into the second part, which are questions from social media. All right, here we go. Number one what inspired you to focus your attention on helping entrepreneurs build their lives in business?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it for me really came down to that initial event that happened of my coworker taking her own life. That really caused me to question the decisions I was making in my life and for me what came up was I did not want to live a life of regret. And there's a few pivotal moments. I remember back then of one of them being when I was at my nine to five. I remember sitting at my desk, unfulfilled, unhappy, did not want to be there, and someone came into our office that was at least twice my age and you could tell that she also did not want to be there and did not like her life and just was miserable and unhappy. And I just had this moment where I was sitting at my desk and looking up at her and I just knew, if I stay here, that's going to be me Just unhappy, unfulfilled, not enjoying my life and the other piece of it too.

Speaker 2:

I remember talking to my mom when I was going through all of this and I remember saying to her I just feel and it sounds dramatic now, but it felt true then it just felt like my soul was dying. I just felt so not lit up, I just hated rolling out of bed every day. I just felt like I was in this mundane routine and so I really wanted to light that spark that was in me again and see what's really possible in life, Like how good can it get? You know, how far can I go with this, how many people can I impact? And so it was really that calling to see how much I can transform my life and then how many people can I help transform theirs as well.

Speaker 1:

Beautiful. Yeah, I remember it takes me back as you were speaking to like I had this amazing teaching job that other people would love to have. But I remember before work sitting in my car crying because I didn't want to go into work, you know. And then we've all probably worked alongside someone who's very grouchy and snappy and just a miserable, and you can feel it when they come into the room, you know that like, wow, like they need to find something else because they're just not happy people. So you know, and that's a telltale sign right there that you're not following your passion, because it won't feel like work. Right, the work I'm doing it's like wow, like it didn't feel like work at all right. Yeah, it's so fun. It's like wow, like it didn't feel like work at all right.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's so fun and it feels like play again, like I get to be in and just play and you get excited by it.

Speaker 1:

But yeah, that job. I was just sitting there and I'm like I don't want to go and I remember talking on the phone with my husband, I'm like I just don't want to be here and then I left that job and I thought it was like it was too many hours, you know. So I cut it down to you know, like I think I'm gonna like a job is 4.75 to teach, and even that was it. I says. You know what I don't think I'm supposed to be here, you know, and it's having that intuition, getting over that fear, because that was a steady kind of income where, when you jump and that might be another fear for our listeners you know Reiki and I also do yoga as well. That's not always a consistent thing. How do you get over that fear as well with, with that money coming in, if you have that nine to five and having the benefits and having all those things? But I mean, if you trust that intuition and things all end up working out the way they are supposed to.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and one of the things too. I'll just add to that real quick, because I think this is really important for your listeners to hear. This is actually what my email newsletter for this week is about, and it's about when we're recording this. Right now, I'm not a big Taylor Swift fan, or I wouldn't consider myself a Swifty, but you know, recently, as of when we're recording this, she announced that there's going to be a new album and it made me think about how people like that, who we see have accomplished massive amounts of success.

Speaker 2:

I think about what if she never believed in herself? You know what? If she thought, better, go get a full-time job, who am I to think I could become a very successful singer? You know, like, if she got caught up in so many of the stories and so many of the limitations that I see so many soul entrepreneurs in of? Like, who am I to go follow this dream? Who am I to think I can be a world renowned singer? Who am I to think that I can go be a Reiki practitioner, whatever it is?

Speaker 2:

What if the people that you look up to, the ones who have made such an influential impact, who have had so much success, what if they never believed in their dream and never believed in themselves. But because they have. Look at the music we have, look at the movies we have, look at the art we have. And so I just want to encourage listeners to think about themselves the same way of you, know what is actually possible when you believe in yourself, and what if there are people out there who are waiting for your work, waiting for your magic, waiting for your art to impact their life as well. But if you don't believe in yourself, then you're depriving them from being able to receive that. So I just wanted to leave that two cents with your audience as well.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, and it's just one person's opinion, you know. I mean one teacher, one parent's perception versus, you know, the whole world, right? I mean it's just amazing that, um, having a little bit of faith, that taking that one step, pushing through the fear and trying. So I mean, when you would get to the end of our journey in life, right, would you want to live with that regret? Or you know what? I gave it a try and if you failed, you fail, but maybe you made it right.

Speaker 2:

Yep, totally, and that's one of the things that I talk about in my TEDx talk that I gave is that there was a woman named Bronnie Ware and she wrote a book called the Top Five Regrets of the Dying and the top regret. So she worked in this nursing home and she would ask people, looking back on your life, what are the things that you regret? And the number one regret is that they wish they had lived a life true to themselves versus what other people wanted for them. And that has been a guiding light for me of just wanting to not live with regret at the end of my life and seeing. You know when I go for it, when I listen to that calling what's actually possible. And it has like. Granted, there's been highs and lows on the journey, of course, but overall, like the places it's brought me to and the experiences I've had have just been bigger and better than I could have ever imagined.

Speaker 1:

Beautiful. That's why you're a transformer. So number two how instrumental has your intuition been in your life?

Speaker 2:

One hundred and ten thousand percent, like so instrumental. And I would say it's kind of this like hidden superpower that we all have, that that we're just not taught growing up how to use. Or I know I wasn't taught growing up how to use. You know I wasn't taught to listen to my intuition. Growing up I was taught to make the logical choice and weigh the pros and cons and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah and so just understanding, like we talked about that. It's a muscle like anything else, and the more you start to practice and listen to it, the more you'll be able to hear the difference between the voice in your head and what your mind's trying to tell you and the voice in your heart and where your heart's trying to lead you. And the more you start to tune in and listen to that voice in your heart and just follow it, even when you don't know quite exactly where it's taking you yet, it'll bring you places bigger and better than you could have even imagined.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and the other thing I like to say with this is have fun with it Like this child. Every time it comes true I'm like I mean it was a surprise, and and again it took me a while. I mean Surprise, and and again it took me a while. I mean years. Because people are like how do you do this? It just pops into your head. And I had a friend that was visiting somewhere, originally from Pittsburgh, and I too moved across the country to Texas and my friend came up to visit and because I, you know, exercise that intuition muscle. I was going to an event and I said she's coming along with me. I said I just kind of want to warn you that this place I was going to an event and I said she's coming along with me. I said I just kind of want to warn you that this place I'm going to it was a senior center.

Speaker 1:

There might be times where there's like two ambulances and like a fire truck or something and it didn't happen often and we pull up and we're sitting there and all of a sudden we hear here comes one ambulance, then the second and then the fire truck. How did you do that? And I was like blows your mind. And then we were together in a store and I went to approach something and I said I don't know why that number came in. I'm like, oh, I bet you that's like $40. And then over the PA system, hey, you can buy this now just for $40. She's like how did you do that?

Speaker 2:

And I'm like you just have to listen. You just have to listen and tune into it and it's, it's always there. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And it's just like that radio, that frequency. You have to kind of move the dial a little bit, but it'll come to that if you keep practicing with it. But again, that journal writing, that mindful intention, what do you want? And you know, I've had people that have said, well, I don't know what I want. Well, put your highest good until you figure it out right, the best for all. It doesn't have to be as complicated. We tend to you tend to make it so complicated and then we get into our own head and it's just the simplicity of, like you know what, I just trust the process, Like, what do you have for me, universe, I'm ready.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and I fully believe too. I say this to all my clients and my friends whenever they say that response of I don't know, I always mind them too, Like that is your mind telling you. I don't know. I always mind them too, like that is your mind telling you, I don't know either, because it's scared of saying the real thing that you know you want or you're not ready for yet, or whatever it is. But your heart always knows it always knows what you want.

Speaker 2:

It always knows the next step to take. So that's always a sign for me that when someone says I don't know that they're in their head versus listening to their heart.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and even another clue too, if you're not sure. You're like, oh, I don't know what to do, as you're scrolling and you see something, and you see, like, say, I'm in the yoga business and I see someone else put a class together and I get a little little bit of jealousy. I'm like, oh, I think I want to do that too. Yeah, and then go in that direction. So that's another indicator. Is something gets you a little jealous, a little bit angry? That could be something that deep down inside you that you'd want to do as well. So that's another indicator out there in your journey.
