Amanda Nicol
Amanda Nicol is a jewelry designer and founder of Jewelry One of a KIND, a Miami-based jewelry house operating on a wage-first production model. Drawing from lived experience and two decades in the jewelry industry, she rebuilt her career with a different blueprint. Craftsmanship drives income. Income drives independence. After scaling her first brand into national and international retail — including MoMA Design Store, Fred Segal, Ron Herman, Tomorrowland Japan, and Sundance Catalog, she launched Jewelry One of a KIND as a structural alternative to charity-based production. Based in Miami, Amanda leads production through trained survivor-artisans working in trauma-informed conditions.
Her work has been featured in The New York Times, Harper’s Bazaar, and WWD.
Beyond design, Amanda serves as a Board Member of F-Fent.org, advancing harm reduction and public health initiatives across Miami-Dade. Her work bridges craft, economic mobility, and systems change.
