Paula Gasparini-Santos
Paula Gasparini-Santos is a Brazilian-born immigrant artist, trauma and grief therapist, and art therapist whose life has unfolded across many cities and countries. Holding degrees in psychology, art, clinical mental health, and art therapy, Paula's work lives at the intersection of creativity, healing, and social justice.
As a clinician, she has worked with previously incarcerated men, undocumented Latina women, and communities across lines of race, culture, and class, always with art as the through line. As an artist, she paints words into colorful, layered canvases where poetry and image meet to reflect the shared emotions of human existence.
Paula believes art is a tool for liberation, dialogue, and transformation, and that it is in the dialogue that the art is truly formed. Her deepest hope is that her work invites you into curiosity: about life, about yourself, about what connects us all.
