The Daily Former
The Daily Former is here to ensure you know one thing- you're not alone.
Angela is the Director of Special Projects at Life After Hate and a co-founder of the organization. She exited violent far-right extremism in the 90s and has dedicated the last two decades of her life to realizing that the more she learns, the less she knows.
Listen to Formers, friends, experts, journalists, and anyone the TDF crew thinks is worth the time to talk about change, fear, freedom, everything we like and don't like about having our worst moments broadcast worldwide, and more (we contain multitudes!).
If you're thinking about leaving but don't know where to go, or think this stuff is interesting, hang out for a while. We're always around.

The Daily Former
Breaking the Overton Window. With Pete Simi.
There is a period of time after people leave the movement where they feel like the Belle of the Ball. Either from speaking publicly, being involved in a lawsuit, or by getting doxxed, it feels like everyone wants to talk to you.
How do you know who to trust? Who has you in mind, and not just your trauma porn?
Enter a Former's Favorite- Pete Simi!
Pete has been researching the violent far-right for decades at this point. He started surfing dial-up websites and eventually found himself sleeping at far-right headquarters and speaking the language fluently. What has he learned? Did he ever have fun?
We wanted Pete on to pick his brain and he ended up showing us that not everyone who is an academic is only out to get the data. There are so many people that just want to know you, and aren't out to get you. Pete is truly a great human being and we will surely have him on more. Enjoy!
If you're thinking of telling your story but don't know how, or who to talk to, let us help.
