Um, he was going to perform at the event but had to pull out because of a scheduling conflict with SNL. That's what he said. But then he took it to social media to share why he really didn't show up. Uh, and he said that in a nutshell, white guys and black people joke differently. Okay, that that makes sense. Um but then he goes on to say he had there was major issues with the racial humor or of the roast Shane Gillis and Tony Henchcliffe. I didn't get to Tony Henchcliffe yet in the thing. Like I said, I'm only halfway through it, and I just I named all the people that I seen. Um he said uh Shane Gillis mocked Kevin Hart's height with slavery and lynching references, admitting the latter took three weeks of deliberation to green light it. Meanwhile, Henchcliffe leaned into racial humor, sparking online backlash with a controversial controversial joke about George Floyd. In another post, Shay called out the white writers who crafted the jokes.

And then in quotes, it says, Come on, that's not funny. He wrote in the next slide. Purther credits, 17 writers contributed and were black, including uh Chris Spencer. Hinchcliffe and Chelsea Hanler used their own team of writers. Airing on live on Netflix, the Rosa Kevin Hart was a grand finale of the Netflix Joke Festival. The three-hour event featured appearances by Dwayne the Rock, Johnson Usher, and Tom Brady. Also Cat Williams, Regina Hall, Sarah Underwood, and several others took the stage. But like I said, in a nutshell, he just felt like when he was a part of it, he realized this shit is racist.
