The cast kicks things off by teasing Aly over his suspiciously hybrid NBA fandom before diving into the latest update on the NY Knicks as they continue battling through the semifinals.
The crew also breaks down Floyd Mayweather’s lawsuit against former business partners, gives thoughts on Yung Miami’s new track “Spend Dat,” and revisits Drake’s latest album Iceman to see if it’s really standing the test of time. Plus, they react to the Summer Jam 2026 lineup, discuss the newest adult beverages (21+) hitting the scene, and unpack the growing backlash surrounding the Kevin Hart roast.
To top it off, there’s excitement around the official premiere date for the final season of Raising Kanan, plenty of wild opinions, hilarious moments, and much more you don’t want to miss!

Yeah, this is step one into firing our lee. Get him out of there. I mean, you don't want to stand behind the scenes. I've been trying to fire Ali for I don't know how long now.
SPEAKER_05Are you kidding me? I don't understand.
SPEAKER_13You do actually.
SPEAKER_05Didn't I say this the last time I seen you?
SPEAKER_13Yes. Yes, DJ.
SPEAKER_05I didn't really notice.
SPEAKER_13I got his replacement lined up and everything. Oh my gosh. Of course it's DJ J Shakes.
SPEAKER_09J Shakes. No, DJ J Shakes, he lost me because yesterday. Yesterday he said, Oh, what time are y'all recording tomorrow? And I said, at four. He said, Oh, well, I'm gonna be at um his daughter, his stepdaughter's um event that she's having. So I'm like so what you asked me for then?
SPEAKER_13Like, what was you thought we were gonna record later than that? That's why.
SPEAKER_09Not when a next applied, I know he didn't think that.
SPEAKER_02Even I seen that o'clock, even I seen that.
SPEAKER_13You ain't seen them Celtics, that's what you didn't see. That's that's getting old now. No, it's not. That will never get old.
SPEAKER_09Oh, it's never gonna get old because he's a hybrid fan, so it don't really bother him.
SPEAKER_02I'm not a hybrid fan.
SPEAKER_09Yes, he is. He's the only fan, he's the only fan of a team. Like, they say the Knicks fans are annoying, but another annoying fan base is the Celtics players, and he's not that like he he be posting other players, like other team stats all the NBA.
SPEAKER_02What are you talking about?
SPEAKER_13No, here's the thing, though. Like, I like to post the next day after the Knicks win. So I'm on a Knicks Instagram page. I see Ali's following him and liking all the damn posts. No, bro. I'm like, yo, what type of Celtics fan is that? He's he's on a beer wagon.
SPEAKER_09Not even fun picking on him, but he's not like a real fan.
SPEAKER_02So it's like it's no picking on me because I don't give a fuck what y'all think or how y'all feel. That's the problem. That's the problem.
SPEAKER_13Real Celtics fan, but never.
SPEAKER_09Especially your team. Like, I understand if it was like the the nets or something, but this is your team's rival for mad years, and you supportive as hell.
SPEAKER_02Like, yeah, I'm more I'm looking at it. He posted more.
SPEAKER_09Yo, he posted next stuff that I didn't even know about. I'm like, oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02Word.
SPEAKER_09I didn't know that.
SPEAKER_13The trash talk definitely don't hit the same with him. Don't bother me, nigga. I'm a fan of the sport. So hold on, recursing? Recursing?
SPEAKER_02We're not pre-recording. Yeah, we recorded. We here. What are you talking about? I didn't know she started already. I didn't know. We yeah, we live.
SPEAKER_09It's 213.

SPEAKER_13She had the she had the pre-write. That's why.
SPEAKER_10Oh, you're right. It is oh man, y'all bugged out. Dang. Man, you're right, Cece. All right.
SPEAKER_05214. Worried about me and the Celtics. 214. Y'all want some more. Ali, baby. It's in your blood. You bleed blue, baby. You ain't a crypto. You Knicks, baby. I bleed green.
SPEAKER_09He's not green. Bro, he does not like the Nick.
SPEAKER_02A Knicks fan. I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_09Yo, I've never seen a Celtics fan ever post anything about the Knicks. Like a Knicks post none of that. That's not a real fan. That's your team's rival.
SPEAKER_02I don't care.
SPEAKER_09And y'all are sitting home watching us play, and you want to do that.
SPEAKER_02I don't care. I'm going to post the NBA. I post every team. I like the NBA. I post Timberwolves. That's what I'm saying. That's not me. That's not me. That's not me being a fan. No, those fans don't really. Y'all make no sense. Pick a side and state. Pick a sign and say is already dealt. I'm a Celtics fan. What are y'all not getting? No, you're not. Like so, yeah.
SPEAKER_13I only like the Celtics, Timberwolves, Heat, Suns, Lars. I'm not, I don't like the Calculus.
SPEAKER_14I don't like none of them teams.
SPEAKER_02Like, once again, once again.
SPEAKER_13Niggas always have listening. Ain't no half stepping. This could be a great part, y'all. I can retell. It's a great pond.
SPEAKER_09Yes, it is. How y'all feeling today? What's the word?
SPEAKER_05The word is it's rainy, man.
SPEAKER_09It feels good out here. I love it.
SPEAKER_05I love it. I love it. I'm out here reading my book.
SPEAKER_13Why are you reading she practicing?
SPEAKER_05Nah, nah, that was before the recording. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_13Not right now. Whoa. I can I can picture her over there practicing like Casa Night was.
SPEAKER_05Shut up, Mark. Because I'm going to get tripped up on my words when I'm reading something for the podcast.
SPEAKER_07I'd be like, uh, I'll read it right here.
SPEAKER_05I gotta pull it. I'll pull it up. Then I'm like, um uh 1974, the community, like it'd be horrible. I'm like, yo, this always happens when I'm recording.
SPEAKER_13I don't know why you volunteer. Like, you got to reference this though. Shut up.
SPEAKER_05I be trying to do the right thing.
SPEAKER_09Somebody did say that, yeah, do the right thing, like slightly. Now, somebody said that a while ago. It was like, do not let CC read anymore. I don't remember probably.
SPEAKER_05Baby, I am nervous. I got a stage right. Ain't even no stage. Yo, they be probably like, yo, this girl is slow.
SPEAKER_09Hey yeah, yo, I'm on straight BS today, y'all. So I hope yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yo, we know. Ali, I can't wait till you hear what they were saying in the beginning. He don't listen back, you don't never hear it.
unknownIt's okay.
SPEAKER_05That's it.
SPEAKER_02I'm over. I'm over. I'm over them.
SPEAKER_13I don't care. Yeah, we're about to get grouchy. I'll eat this this far. Oh start over, start off with some Celtic stuff. Yeah, he over there hated.
SPEAKER_09How you gonna hate from my side of the club? All right, listen, so how you in the club hating?

SPEAKER_09How you call it a business trying to get me some business? Leave me alone. But speaking of your job, how's that crack investigation going? Baby, that thing is hot.
SPEAKER_05Oh man. Shorty stopped texting the text though. Apple stopped texting everyone. All right, all right. I don't know what she's done for. More stories came out. Seriously, it's terrible. It was like, hey, I knew that too. I didn't want to say nothing. I'm like, oh my gosh, this is like insane. Oh man. Try to tell the clients to keep it all alone. No, no. They are traumatized now. They don't know who to do it.
SPEAKER_13If you're gonna do crack, do it on your own time. Don't do it at work. Like, what the heck?
SPEAKER_05Now they're looking at everybody like we some damn crackheads.
SPEAKER_09Like crazy. I mean, they don't crackheads don't like to be anywhere where there's not any other crackheads around them. So for real, they was like, yo, we got one in.
SPEAKER_05This is great for us. They hate us now, though. We messed up their whole program. All right. They be angry. I'm going on overnight. Bye. Have fun. Like one of the girls that that was in it too that was saying it too. She was like, and I'm not taking my meds with me. I'm like, I'm pretty sure you'll have a lot of meds where you are. SPEAKER_13I said it on a pod and I sent it in the group chat.
SPEAKER_05So this is our show to watch. This is our our show's nemesis right now. It's already dropped the full season.
SPEAKER_13Your family was talking about it in the group chat as well. Like, how much, how many more reminders do you need?

SPEAKER_15Yo, the alumni was wilding. Nah, they were they were enjoying it.
SPEAKER_05What the hell? And then up on who was that Harding? He kept shooting on him. I'm like, damn. Embarrassing.
SPEAKER_02Yo, even the second game, though, he didn't even have it going like that. He just turned into an assist monster. It was a dope.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, my thing was he he hasn't even turned up all the way on Cleveland yet. Yeah, he had 19 points.
SPEAKER_0219 and 14, I think.
SPEAKER_09He hasn't even broke, he hasn't even broke a sweat yet.
SPEAKER_13Yo, Josh Hart went nuts.
SPEAKER_09Yep.
SPEAKER_13Yeah, that was a stupid ass game plan leaving him open, like can you shoot 44% from three all season?
SPEAKER_02But my thing is not even just that. Josh Hart always been a bucket, even when he was in college, even when he was on the Pelicans, even when he was on the Lakers. Like, I don't get it.
SPEAKER_09He always been a bucket. He's inconsistent, that's why. He'll have a great game, and then the next game he he just like he's a J.R. Smith. Nah, I I I I like him better than J.R. Smith, but I that's just me.
SPEAKER_02Um I feel like J.R. Smith always made the most contested shots ever, but never made the open ones.
SPEAKER_09I think J.R. Smith was a fluke. At first he was really, really good, and then he just started like, I mean, that's just my opinion. I don't know, but he just started well, I think he was too high.
SPEAKER_02He definitely was high all the time.
SPEAKER_13I think he lied. I don't know. He said he don't smoke or something like that. It's like, all right, bro, we know you smoke. We know you smoke. We see it in your face, bro.
SPEAKER_09Like, what are you talking about? So, um, well, since we are on sports and we were speaking about Floyd Mayweather, we got a Floyd Mayweather update. Um, it looks like he's seeking $175 million in a newly filed lawsuit, alleging that his former investment manager and real estate advisor defrauded him over multiple years. Um, he the suit filed in a New York court claims Jonah Rechnitz, Mayweather's former manager and Isle Frist, who ran Frist Apex Ventures, a Florida-based real estate and investment firm, where a lot of Mayweather's money was sent, committed fraud, and had roles in breach of fiduciary duty. Um what else is it saying? Uh the suit alleged a multitude of issues, including a 7.5 million wire for a 12-month investment on July 1st, 2024, where no investment was made and the initial money was never returned. Unauthorized allocations of Mayweather's money to Frist Apex, including $15 million in settlement proceeds from a realty company at Residence Direction. A separate loan with over $8.8 million of a $16.4 million loan on four of Mayweather's properties was sent to Frist Apex without explanation. Only $2.5 million was given to Mayweather promotions out of $16 million. That's crazy. Um $2.1 million of an $8.2 million refinance of one of Mayweather's Las Vegas properties was sent to Frist Apex at Rechness Direction without Mr. Wade Mayweather's authorization. Um my God.
SPEAKER_02That nigga don't read nothing. Can't read it is fundamental, bro. It'll take 20 mil from him right now. He thought we took $20. We're fine.
SPEAKER_09It says Retchness diverted a $1 million deposit agreed to by Mayweather to buy a New York property in 2025 to pay a New York jeweler instead. And as a result, the property deal never closed. Uh Rechnist pleaded nearly $100 million in Mayweather's jewelry to two Miami-based jewelers for only $13 million. A substantial portion of the pledged jewelry remains with the jewelers, according to the suit, without accounting provided to Mayweather.
SPEAKER_02Oh, so he's just a big dummy.
SPEAKER_09What did we say? The nigga can't read.
SPEAKER_02So for real.
SPEAKER_09Um the IRS also filed a nearly 7.3 million Lean against Mayweather in March for unpaid taxes in 2018 and 2023.
SPEAKER_05Uh damn, I know the nigga can't read, but he can't see them deductions. Negative 16 million. Negative 3 million.
SPEAKER_02101 looks like 001 to that nigga. He don't know, bro. That a decimal or a car like, come on, Floyd.
SPEAKER_09So this is probably why they were talking about there were rumors about him going broke. He was being robbed. It wasn't just his gambling addiction, it was him being robbed by his own team. Yeah, that's really sad.
SPEAKER_13It's a little bit of everything. Is that now he got to pay child support, 33,000 a month, and um like a million and back pay or something like that?
SPEAKER_09Oh, okay. To that new baby, he had about like a bartender or something like that. A bartender, a stripper, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_13Insane. And he don't even smoke or drink, so he's just making these days. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_10You mean these decisions so insane? That's wild.
SPEAKER_02He just got that real nasty work. Yeah, that means he just got money and just a horny bastard.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, that's tough. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02That's worse. That's the worst shit I've ever heard of.
SPEAKER_09My thing is, oh man, I don't even know.
SPEAKER_02A rich nigga with no self-control, with no oh my god.
SPEAKER_09I don't even understand what to say about this because I I really want to know how they found this out. Like who it sounds like he finally made a good decision and had someone look into his finances and something and stuff like that because they figured out that this was happening. Because almost being scammed out of almost 200 million by your own team is insane. That is insane. That they're making these these fake uh proposals and loans and selling jewelry and all this other stuff, like that saying that they sold 100 million worth of jewelry and only got 13 million from it, and that's crazy. Like, this is this is a lot. Like, I don't know.
SPEAKER_13He probably figured it out once he had to sign over for his jet. Yeah, he had no idea he was signing over his jet selling it. Oh that's so crazy.
SPEAKER_09They went too far. That's why they went way too far. They just got greedy, like, yo, this nigga don't know he missing almost 200 million. We could keep going. Like, that's crazy. That's really, really crazy. Um, well, I hope he I hope justice is served for Floyd Mayweather, and I hope he gets some type of um he he gets better representation. After all these years, he should have learned how to read. I mean, come on now. At this point, like he should have he should have been educating himself or I don't know, maybe he really is like, you know, he got an IEP or something. I don't know. I don't want to talk bad about the guy. He probably don't know no better.
SPEAKER_13And he's also, did we mention how he's um suing Showtime for like 350 million?
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I I didn't mention that, but yeah, that's another thing. He's um he's suing he's suing Showtime because they had a contract or something like that, and then go through with it, and they never gave, but they were still supposed to give him the money. Well, let me see. It says he is also the plaintiff in a 340 million lawsuit where he alleges that Showtime, the network he used to fight on, misappropriated funds as part of a long-running scheme of financial fraud. So it just seems like everybody was taking advantage of him.
SPEAKER_05Um that's crazy.
SPEAKER_09$340 million from Showtime, uh $175 million from his former partner, like that's it sounds like they got more than enough evidence. Because if they're doing these lawsuits and they have proof of all these things, they have more than enough evidence to get his money back. And if he does get these funds back, uh at least half of each, you know what I'm saying? Like he'll be back on top. And I hope that that's not happening. I I mean something has to happen because I that's what I hate. I I'd rather I mean I like the lawsuits better because when somebody goes to jail for some shit like that, they just go to jail. Like, that's their punishment. You know, sometimes they have to pay the money back or whatever, but a lot of times jail is the punishment. But when you do a lawsuit, you get that money back, or at least a moment half of it.
SPEAKER_13Maybe he'll get the money back if he wins versus showtime. But that Jewish dude that was scamming him, I'm pretty sure he's smart enough to say that money was gone, long gone by now.
SPEAKER_09Because what it sounded like I I read in a different report because this is a um the article I'm reading is from ESPN. But I think the uh the report that I read from TMZ earlier, it said something like he was signing off on stuff that he didn't know what it said.
SPEAKER_02So that's all that he was signing shit with no buyers on the signature, like he was just signing shit. Like, bro, what are you you just signing here, just sign here?
SPEAKER_13Dumb ass. Like, it's not a regular term conditions.
SPEAKER_02That's exactly what that nigga was doing. He was signing generic blank paperwork that wasn't fully filled out and was like, okay, just sign here and sign here. Okay, what am I signing? And if I was just telling him whatever they wanted to say, then his dumb ass was just signing. He didn't even he didn't even try. He didn't even try.
SPEAKER_09That's hard to beat in court because you you you signed it. Uh, you know, you signed it.
SPEAKER_02Sir, is this your signature? Did you read it? Oh, uh uh uh skin up. That's where you fucked up, right?
SPEAKER_05But he had some stuff that was unauthorized, though, right? Yeah, that's some stuff, some millions he didn't sign.
SPEAKER_02And then the unauthorized stuff, that's what they're gonna really come into question.
SPEAKER_05Eight million wired, no trace of why or anything. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02Nah, nah, they're gonna find all that money. Listen, ain't no money going until the money.
SPEAKER_05They about to strip that guy though of everything he got.
SPEAKER_02I promise you that if the government wants to find the funds, they'll find the funds.
SPEAKER_09It says so um 2.1 million of an 8.2 million refinance of one of Mayweather's Las Vegas properties was sent to Frist Apex at Retchness Direction and without Mr. Mayweather's authorization. So they refinanced one of his homes for 8.2 million.
SPEAKER_02They gave him six, they gave him six mil and took two off the top.
SPEAKER_09No, they they gave him two and they took six.
SPEAKER_02Oh shit.
SPEAKER_09Without his authorization.
SPEAKER_02Damn, I thought it was the opposite.
SPEAKER_09Oh, no, no, you're right, you're right, you're right, you're right. The 2.1% was 6. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I was about to say he's really special. Oh, I was about to say the R word again. Oh, yeah, that's oh my god. Yeah, they they're here. So they refinance, he got him eight mil. They said, Here, let's give him six, he'll be fine with this. We're gonna take this 2.1. He ain't gonna know.
SPEAKER_10Right.
SPEAKER_09Yeah. Damn, poor mate, weather.
SPEAKER_02Um see, and that's what happens when you cocky and like, oh, I'm I'm this, I'm money this, I'm money this, I'm money this, I'm money that. Everybody thinks you're money, money, money. All they gonna see is money around you, and they're gonna use the hell out of you. That's what they did. They all used his ass.
SPEAKER_05Mm-hmm. Yep. Like, yeah, I could work with you to find a way to get their own shit.
SPEAKER_09Mm-hmm. Yeah, that's messed up. Well, I I really do hope he gets some type of justice out of it. Because that's not, that's not right stealing from him, because that money was rightfully earned, you know what I'm saying? And as much as we clown and make fun of Mayweather up here, um, he's still a boxing legend and he earned his money, you know what I'm saying? The real way, the legal way, and it's not right for anybody to come in and steal his money, you know, because we've all known that he has like he has like um uh some type of reading incomprehension, like something is wrong there, like all jokes aside, where we know that and that these people took advantage of him, and that's not right. And it's mental health awareness month, you know what I'm saying? Like, we gotta we still gotta uh shine a light on that because there are people, you know, we're lucky we're blessed, you know, on this podcast that we don't have those issues, but there's a lot of people that suffer from dyslexia and you know what I'm saying, just not being um able to just having the inability to learn and read at a normal pace. And it seems like that's the issue that he has, and people took advantage of him and stole millions of dollars from him, and that's not right.
SPEAKER_05So yeah, that's messed up.
SPEAKER_09He deserves his justice. And again, it is mental health awareness month out there to everyone.
SPEAKER_13So I don't don't bunch, don't bunch that in together, man. Shout out to the scammers, scammers are up right now. I know a few scammers, you keep doing what y'all do.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I'm not I'm not I'm not I'm not speaking out against scammers. I'm just saying, I'm just taking Mayweather's side in this and saying that it's wrong for them to take advantage of him, is what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_13Yeah, he just gotta humble himself, man. That's it. I don't want to see no more videos of you at uh like a Lakers game counting your money on the sideline for no reason.
SPEAKER_06Like, come on, do better.
SPEAKER_13I want to see no more videos of you and 50 50 watches on the table, a bunch of money on the table. Like, enough is enough now.
SPEAKER_09Well, speaking of money, there is a song that has a lot of men in a chokehold right now. Um, a lot of men are enjoying Young Miami's new song. Spend that. That's all I've been seeing. I've been seeing the men posting it, making videos, dancing, TikToks. Yeah, the guys are loving that song. Have y'all heard that? It's catchy. Play it.
SPEAKER_13It's catchy.
SPEAKER_09Mark, you haven't heard it?
SPEAKER_13Never heard it before. It's funny.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, not at all. It is so rash, but it's so funny.
SPEAKER_09It's really the guys that's loving the song. Um, hold on. Let me let me go ahead and play that song for you guys. It seemed like she got her one. Shout out to her young Miami. Here we go.
SPEAKER_00Miami. All right, Mark, what you think about that?
SPEAKER_13Get that bullshit the fuck out of here. What the hell are we what are we doing? That's going viral right now. That's going viral. Oh my god, I can't stand this generation. What are we doing? It's that's going to be a little bit more than a little bit.
SPEAKER_09But it's the guy, it's not the ladies.
SPEAKER_13That's that's it's the guy men, women, transgenders, like that. That song is some bullshit. It's lazy writing. I I could tell she wrote that shit herself. Bro, she did, and it's like three four writers on it.
SPEAKER_02That's what's crazy. That's that's ridiculous. Yeah, it's like three four writers on it.
SPEAKER_13What are we what are we doing, man? Drake just shop. Like, listen to some Drake Chris Brown albums still go hard. For real, making it strong on my phone.
SPEAKER_02That's all I've been playing is K Log. All I've been playing is Drake.
SPEAKER_13I'll be damned all listening to some fucking young Miami.
SPEAKER_02Nah, I actually like the song, it's catchy. I don't like the song.
SPEAKER_09Well, it's been a little over a week since Iceman dropped. How y'all feel about it now? I still love it.
SPEAKER_13I like Iceman. It's still cool, just cool to me.
SPEAKER_09Iceman is just cool. Oh, I meant to say that I absolutely hated the Belgrade Brothers review of Iceman when I heard it. I was really What they say. I I hated it. Like I hated the entire review that they had about it. And you know what? This is what I'm this is what I think, right? A lot of people went into this with the thought of come like just looking at the album from uh he's fresh out of the Kendrick hip hop battle. Whereas Drake has put out a bunch of singles and stuff like that. He's put out projects since that um, you know, since his his battle with Kendrick. So this isn't his first thing that he's dropping. But I feel like because he lost that battle, people aren't respecting Drake for who he is. Instead of just like I went into it just with like an open mind and an open heart just to hear what he had. And that's I think that's why I love the album so much. He had a lot of like um, he just he addressed so much. And I feel like if he didn't address certain things, it would be a Problem if he he if he did address things like he did, it's a problem. But um the Belgrade brothers was like actually the only person I I think I enjoyed was Sheem because Sheem said he didn't get to listen to it entirely yet because they they recorded on Friday night and it dropped on Friday, so he didn't have enough time to listen to all the albums or whatever, but he listened to mostly Iceman and he said he enjoyed it. Um he liked it or whatever. But the rest of them was just like it was mediocre. Um it was Drake. Um Drake lost it lost his flow, like he just lost it. He's not the old Drake anymore. But why would he still be the same Drake? Like he he he's evolved, he's a different thing.
SPEAKER_02He switched his flow up almost like every album, though.
SPEAKER_09He's a different person now.
SPEAKER_05Drake is in his 40s, you know what I'm saying? People are are just talking because I don't hear no difference in Drake. Like, I think they wanted him to what what they wanted a back-to-back type of comeback. The nigga played this shit so swiftly and so calm and mellow. He kept, like, throughout the whole album, he's saying things that Kendrick said in the song.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_05Um he just saying a lot of things about like you know, the word Kendrick, and uh, I mean Khaled, uh LeBron, LeBron, even whoever, whoever whatever girls he be talking about in this shit, I'll be like, whoa, like damn. I love how he's just he's so honest about his feelings. But I I love this album. Like, I cannot stop listening to it. I listened to the other ones too, because they he got some jams on there. He got this song called I mean Named Classic on the Habidi album. Yeah, we can talk about that. Yeah, we backed that last week. But hold on, let's just let's go, let's go back to Iceman.
SPEAKER_14Let's go to the other albums.
SPEAKER_05Is this a top three Drake album?
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_05This is not my top three Drake album. Is it a top five Drake album?
SPEAKER_13Um or project. You could you could include mixtapes as well. No, it's not a top five for me. And that's all my point is. This is not that that's what I mean when I say this is not the same.
SPEAKER_02I think, I think, I think he really just I think Iceman is the only album he truly put like a little bit of effort on, and everything else he just threw together so he can get out of his deal. And I think he's gonna just do his thing from now on as independent, or maybe one of the biggest um you know, record deals that we're gonna see. Who knows? But I just think that it was really more about just getting out of his deal, letting people know how he feels about what's being said, and people switching up sides. And because if you listen to it, that's really mainly what he's just been saying the whole album. So he hurt. Yeah, he hurt. His feelings hurt.
SPEAKER_09I think also another thing about this, it's like uh his feelings was hurt, hurt for sure.
SPEAKER_02I think that's facts. Fire. What did Drake say? Yeah, dog, for sure.
SPEAKER_05Oh, brother, you know, we like this is crazy.
SPEAKER_09I think we have to accept the fact that number one, he has evolved, so he's not the same Drake anymore. So he's not gonna sound the same as he used to when he was young and he was hungry, and you know what I'm saying? We gotta stand up. He even said it. He was with young money, he was making music with Wayne when Wayne was in his prime and and Nikki and all of that. Like it was just a different dynamic, and now he's out here dolo. He got future, like futures washed up himself. I'm sorry, not sorry, but you know what I'm saying? This is a different Drake, and like I said, Drake is in his 40s. He's not uh he's not 20-year-old Drake anymore. You know what I'm saying? Like this is a different man, he's evolved. And not to, I'm not comparing them as a turn 40 dog, I'm battling aging.
SPEAKER_05Like you heard him. I think he's about to be he about to be 40.
SPEAKER_02He might be 39. He's gonna be a big thing. He's 39. The boy's in October.
SPEAKER_09He's 40. You know what I'm saying? He'll be 40 in October, he's 40. So um, I feel like it's just like Jay-Z, not comparing them as artists, but after a while, as as Jay-Z being an artist, he is, it's like, all right, I like I did, I did what I had to do at this point. Like, I mean, I think Jay-Z retired around this around that age, right? In his 40s, he in his 40s, actually. Like, Jay-Z stopped doing music and shit like that. Like, at some point, you just gotta, you know, I'm not saying you gotta stop doing music, but you're not gonna be the same. And the person that you start off as is not gonna be the person you are. You it you can't be the same person you were rapping at 20 versus 40. It's not gonna be the same person. You have different life experiences, you have big money, you have children now. You know what I'm saying? Things change. So people expect you to still be the same, and that's not fair. I think it was a pretty good project. I think that um thank you.
SPEAKER_13So you're saying everything I'm saying, but just in a different way. It's a it's a pretty good, sorry, it's a pretty good album, but it's not great. This is not the old Drake. So I say the old Drake, I'm talking about quality, I'm not talking about the content because obviously, as you get older, yeah, we want to hear about your different experiences and you being a dad and you uh finally losing a battle and like the whole world is against you, and shit like that. Like shit like that, I love. That's why I love the Jay Z444 album. Like, I hear I love hearing Nas nowadays because he sounds mature, adult, like it's way different content. But I'm talking about in terms of quality, this is not a top five Drake project at all. It might not even be top seven if I really dig.
SPEAKER_09I don't know. I I I just I I don't know. I really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed it. Um I didn't enjoy the other releases that Drake did since the battle. I was very like clear about that. You know what I'm saying? Like all those songs that came out after the Kendrick Hotline Bling and all that. Like, I didn't, I wasn't was that was after, right? That was before. Hotline bling. Yeah, that was not hotline bling. That's not what I'm talking about. Um what was that song he put out after the Kendrick shit? And I was just um Who's calling my phone? Who's calling my phone? Who's calling my phone? Oh, Nokia? Is this Stacy? Yeah, I wasn't I wasn't I wasn't.
SPEAKER_13I think it was the no gig song. Yeah, I mean 100 gigs, my bad. 100 gigs, it was no face.
SPEAKER_05It was a couple He dropped the album with Party. I think Drake been for for that, he'd been, I think he's been holding up pretty well besides those other songs. Probably because I love that party album with him. Um but this album, I really I like it a lot. Uh I like when Drake is rapping mellow. So a lot of those songs when Make Me Remember, Make Them Pay, um Firm Friends, that's one of my favorite songs on there. I think this album is amazing. I'm not expecting him to sound the same as he did before. But the the thing about Drake is he's really been on top since forever. Even with the Kendrick thing, that was his only like, oh, like Drake. But to me, it's like, so what? Like you did nothing like that to because it's Drake. I heard people talking about Kendrick around that time, and I hear nothing now. I always hear Drake. Drake is always on the radio, he's and this has been years. Like I hear other rappers, and and I'm getting older, so my my ear has changed for music. I always listen to Drake. I never get tired of him. I I will go back if I if I feel like oh, this album, whatever, I I'll go back. But I don't feel like that right now because I just I'm so I'm still learning the lyrics. Like I I love it, but I don't expect him to be sounding exactly the same. But for what he came out of with this Kendrick thing, and how everybody's like, oh, they he killed him. Like, no, he didn't.
SPEAKER_13He did. Yes, he did. He killed him. Come on. But he killed him.
SPEAKER_05No, you can't kill Drake. And I don't like it. No, Drake was Drake. Everybody's playing Drake.
SPEAKER_13Like, we're not gonna rewrite history. He killed the man. He Drake isn't even a man on a damn album. Like he made it.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, he how does it feel to meet the Grim Reaper? That's like he said it, but shit, revival. The nigga's resurrected for me. Like, I don't, I don't, you can you could say whatever, but Drake is Drake. Like, he's just that nigga, and that's just that. Like, even though people don't, they can say, like, oh, I don't like the album, but you definitely listen though. There's people that I have that's dropped albums, and I'm like, oh yeah, I listened to a couple of songs. I played this shit back to back, up, down, side, side. Like, it's always a topic. Like, he's he's just that nigga. To me at least. I don't know. Everybody got their different opinions, but I love it.
SPEAKER_09Okay, so I think it's different going into it when you're not like a huge Drake fan. Like, I like Drake, but I'm not a huge fan the way it's Cece. Like, that's like probably one of her favorite rappers.
SPEAKER_13Me too. Mine too. That's a problem with me.
SPEAKER_09I think that it's different when you have when you're just like just mutual like I am, and you're like, I just think this is great music. Um, yeah, I do believe that I agree with Mark. Kendrick did kill um Drake, and it put a dent in his legacy a little bit. Unfortunately, it did. Like, you can't deny that. It did put a dent in his legacy. Because no matter what happens with Drake, they're always gonna bring up not like us. They're always gonna now moving forward, no matter what he does, they're gonna bring up Kendrick Lamar. Like it is nothing he can do about it. So, yeah, it did put a it did put a dent in his legacy and his music because now no matter what he does, he's gonna be directly attached to the rap beef with Kendrick, unfortunately. And, you know, it's just what happens when you lose a rap battle, and that was one of the most legendary rap battles because they was dropping songs like back to back to back to back to back. Like it was it was crazy, like something that we've never seen before. Um but again, I think that, you know, uh this is he's trying to back to Ali's point. He said he feels like he just put out these three albums to get out his contract, and we should wait and see what he has to release once he goes independent. You know, if he's officially independent now, that's a killer even more.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you know what I'm saying? Like if whatever he put out, flap, then that's it. His his run is done. But if he put out some heat, yeah, yeah. He really was just trying to throw those, throw those out there so he could just get off his deal.
SPEAKER_09I can I can see that.
SPEAKER_13The thing with me is I don't even like comparing him to Kendrick because they make two different types of music, and Kendrick's not yeah, he's not chasing all the the club hits and shit and the radio hits. Like, that's not Kendrick's body of work down. That's why I asked the question. Hey, is this a top three Drake album? Is it top five Drake? I compare Drake to Drake. So it's not a Kendrick thing for me at all.
SPEAKER_09No, I don't think that I don't think it's about comparing him to Kendrick. I'm saying that when he drops stuff, people always come uh they always talk about the rap battle no matter what. Like that's always gonna be attached to him and how he lost to Kendrick. I'm not saying you, I'm just saying in general, like the jerk.
SPEAKER_02Kendrick had the whole US.
SPEAKER_05Y'all, people at my job was telling me the white people at my job was talking about it that don't even listen to rap. They're like, yo, Kendrick killed Drake. I'm like, damn, this shit is international, huh?
SPEAKER_09Fuck y'all know. When he when this album dropped, people were listening to see if he took any shots at Kendrick, if he addressed it, Kendrick. Like, it's just it's just always gonna be a thing. So I think I think just to really know where Drake stands as an artist, I think the next project that he puts out, if he's independent, whatever the case may be, and we get to see how it is, I think that's really gonna determine who Drake is as an artist moving forward.
SPEAKER_13I think that says a lot if people are questioning whether you just do threw out a bunch of songs just to get uh get out of your uh your contract.
SPEAKER_09Those other two albums was definitely throwing out anything. Just thrown together.
SPEAKER_02Because what the hell is sexy red doing on that? Exactly.
SPEAKER_09You took the words right out my mouth.
SPEAKER_05Once you throw in sexy red all over these albums, yo, everybody is pissed about the sexy songs, yeah. I thought it was just us.
SPEAKER_02That shit was trash. No, that was some nonsense.
SPEAKER_09Um, okay. Uh well since uh we can stay on music. Um there was the Summer Jam. The Summer Jam lineup was released, and they're back at the Prudential Center because you know they've been in Long Island for the past couple of years at the UBS Arena. But um now they're back in Jersey at the Prudential Center. Uh the Summer Jam lineup, Mark, you said the lineup to the group chat. Uh why don't you go ahead and talk about that?
SPEAKER_13Uh look like a bunch of mid from what I remember. I think um who's who's headlining the experience and Fetty Walk? Who's the experience? Exactly.
SPEAKER_05I'm sorry. If if there's a song out that I know, because sometimes I don't know the artist's name.
SPEAKER_13I don't even know who the hell Stoveg is.
SPEAKER_05So sorry to the experience.
SPEAKER_13Whoa, Stoveg is he's one of them lyrical miracle rappers. Like he he he can lyrically rap. He's nice. He don't got miracles. Send me a song. He don't get he don't got no hits, but like somebody who present lyrically, like he's one of those. Okay, okay, I get you.
SPEAKER_05French Montana, they got Max B, Rick Ross, Ice Spice, The Baby, G Herbal, Cash Cobain, Zeddy Will, Oma Leigh, Honey, Baby, Sleepy Hollow, 41.
SPEAKER_04Oh, Fetty Wop, Conway, the Machine, Rock Marciano, Stove, God Cooks.
SPEAKER_06Who are you saying? 30A Special.
SPEAKER_13What the fuck? There's a lot of lyrical miracle rappers over there.
SPEAKER_04Diane Dior, Ryan Witherspoon, Brianni. Is that Brini? What the fuck? JD Wamon. J Diamonds.
SPEAKER_05Okay, and Chase Belly. Yo, that's crazy. I don't know most of these people on this um lineup.
SPEAKER_13Like, I remember when the Summer Jam lineups used to be.
SPEAKER_02The best lineups ever, bro. Everybody and they mama was at Summer Jam, bro. And even nigga, you come outside, niggas who couldn't even get in was outside partying.
SPEAKER_13I was like, who's the who's the biggest person that we named? Is it Rick Ross?
SPEAKER_02Um, uh, yeah, Rick Ross, French Montana, Max B, the baby, uh, G Herbo.
SPEAKER_13G Herbo, Fetty Wow, Cash Cobain, um real superstars.
SPEAKER_05I think this one is trying to showing her panties. That's what she's doing.
SPEAKER_04She's trying to go more towards the younger generation. That's what it looks like. I don't know most of these people on this list.
SPEAKER_02Don't y'all see that they only go crazy for ice face when she starts shaking ass.
SPEAKER_13That's exactly what she's gonna do.
SPEAKER_02She's gonna be there shaking her. So she needs to be just out there for fucking Rick Ross and French Montana songs. Don't stop. Don't you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_13Like, she needs to go out for that. I know most of these artists, but it's like they're not them. Like, there's a lot of second-tier, third tier artists.
SPEAKER_02There's no it's a deal to go see any of these niggas. It gotta be a really good deal. It gotta be a really good deal.
SPEAKER_13Good deal.
SPEAKER_05That shit better be free.
SPEAKER_13You still have the Jay-Z out there, the drinks.
SPEAKER_14Well, somebody gotta give me the damn ticket.
SPEAKER_05So I gotta win.
SPEAKER_13There's one thing on the radio. Yo, I got this shit off a group on that time to go. Why the fuck? There's no Cardi. Nicki Minaj has nothing going on. Why the fuck is she got names?
SPEAKER_02No big names. I mean, these are big names, but no, no real. Come on. French Montana, Max B, Rick Ross. Okay. I guess Max B and Rick Ross. I mean, Max B and uh French Montana, they they hot right now because you know Max just came home, so I get it. The baby, okay. He's on his redemption tour. I get it. G Herbo's definitely been, you know, doing his thing. Okay. Who the hell is the rest of all these other 15 niggas? Like the casco bae.
SPEAKER_05I don't know who the hell the rest of these people are, y'all.
SPEAKER_13I like Zeddy Will. I like Zeddy Will. He he's from the young kids, man.
SPEAKER_05I think I know Zeddy Will. I know I think I think I know who Zeddy Will is. I'll be a lot of things with Zeddy Wild. Oh, okay. That might be my niece, my my niece's little little thing right there. They like that type of music. But this seems like they're trying to go, you know, towards the younger generation. I get it. But this is hot 90s.
SPEAKER_02New Jersey's own Feddy Wap. Because there's a lot of people. I know, I know. They try to do that.
SPEAKER_06Come on, Sam.
SPEAKER_05Yo, that's still a fire.
SPEAKER_15That's too hard. That shit was hard. Wait a minute. Wait.
SPEAKER_09What did I miss?
SPEAKER_05What did I miss? Another Drake. I'm just saying. He's always being mentioned. But um lineup in the case. Let's go.
SPEAKER_02Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Yeah, I mean still on the lineup. He's not listening. She's not paying attention. Let's go. Let's go. We're talking and shit. You're not paying attention. Let's go.
SPEAKER_09I think that um this lineup is a lot better than last year. Um, last year I didn't know 90% of the artists that were supposed to be there.
SPEAKER_02And so now we know 30%. So fuck it.
SPEAKER_09No, how would you mean French Montana, Max B, Rick Ross, Ice Spice, The Baby, G Herbo, Cash Cobain, and then Fetty Wap. Huh?
SPEAKER_02And then Zeddy Will and Fetty Wap.
SPEAKER_09Fetty Wap. I love Jen Carter too. She's a newer artist, but I fuck with Jen Carter and I'm just off the first couple names.
SPEAKER_13Last year, Gunner Headline, A Boogie, Glorilla, Ja Rule.
SPEAKER_09No, I think that was the original line. I remember they changed it.
SPEAKER_13Money Long, Jim Jones and Friends. Last year. Last year was better, but way better than this.
SPEAKER_09I don't know.
SPEAKER_13This shit is ass.
SPEAKER_09But you know, the 7 p.m. stage that they have up here, that's usually like the underground artist. So you can't count the 7 p.m. stage because that's usually the artists that are underground. Um, but the main stage, yeah, of course. French Montana, Max B. Max B is fresh home. You know, he's gonna be doing all his old shit.
SPEAKER_13I'm sick of that nigga too, by the way.
SPEAKER_09I love Rick Ross. Um, Freddie Wapp, he got hits, you know what I'm saying? He don't have no real music out that nobody cares about that I know about, but he's gonna be doing his old shit. That's gonna hit regardless. Um, Max B is gonna do his old shit. I fuck with G Herbo. Um, Zeddy Will, he's TikTok famous, you know what I'm saying? So that's gonna hit. Um, Ice Spice is Ice Spice, you know. Funk Flex is gonna be DJing. I think I think that we're older, you know what I'm saying? So that's what I said. I'm like, I think they're trying to go towards the younger generation. It's always been for the younger crowd, it's never been for the 30 plus crowd.
SPEAKER_13I don't agree. I see a lot of old niggas on this damn lineup.
SPEAKER_09The people that we know, yeah. That's because for the people like us that actually want to go, we still get to have a good experience, but they're gonna cater to the younger audience because those are the ones that are really gonna want to go to summer gym and shit like that. Like, remember when Method Man went? I think that was like two years ago.
SPEAKER_02Yo, Method Man said he ain't never gonna come. Yeah, his time ain't come. The crowd was just ass.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, there was there was a couple of people in there that was ecstatic.
SPEAKER_09A legend, yes, he is a legend, like, but yeah, I definitely remember that. Oh, and sleepy harlow. Shout out to Sleepy Hollow.
SPEAKER_02Like, they're gonna get a sleepy harlow.
SPEAKER_09Well, they gotta cater to the younger audience, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_05Like, I get it though, because like you could go with your kids, like you know, you could bring your kids, they're friends, it's it's it's for both you can only bring your kids at the 7 p.m.
SPEAKER_02stage. They can't go to the 8 p.m.
SPEAKER_13Too many old niggas at the 7 p.m. stage, yeah. You mean 8 p.m.? It's at the 8 p.m.
SPEAKER_02stage old niggas.
SPEAKER_13Conway is old, Rock Marciano's old, Stoveguard is old, 38 Special's old, Albi Al is old. Like those are old niggas right there. That's what I'm saying. Damn, so it's old niggas and even older niggas.
SPEAKER_02I got them up in my ears.
SPEAKER_05I'm not trying to diss the them people, but I just shit. It's older.
SPEAKER_02So they got the even older niggas at the 7 p.m. and then they got the just fresh old niggas at the 8 p.m. This shit is crazy. Ice spice, and they threw ice spice young ass in there with the old niggas just for some ass shake.
SPEAKER_09Mm-hmm. That's the fact this is crazy.
SPEAKER_02I don't like this lineup. I'm not feeling it. This lineup is garbage, nigga. Hot garbage. I was feeling French and Max when they first came home. Uh, the verses and all that cool shit, but that not summer jam, bro. Come on, you gotta have the hottest artist at Summer Jam is supposed to be the biggest concert of the summer. Summer Jam, nigga. Live and direct. Y'all don't remember when the uh in the 90s summer jams, the 2000s summer jams is fucking insane.
SPEAKER_13Give me a random. I'm gonna go let me say 2005. Let's look up that line up.
SPEAKER_09We gotta think about it like this. First of all, the music was better back then, and we were kids.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god, bro. Not Jay Z. Exactly. Like Jay Zany West, the game.
SPEAKER_09But that's my point. The music was better back then. The music hasn't been the same for the past 10-15 years. We have a couple of good artists, but the music hasn't been the same. We haven't been a fan of this music.
SPEAKER_02And back then we were all this rocket hits music shit.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, that's not like that's it's not the same. It's a different generation. Yo, I had, let me tell you something.
SPEAKER_02I had drill music to the cha-cha slide.
SPEAKER_09I had one of the ninth graders, um, they were in trouble for something, so they was waiting to um, I don't know what the fuck they was waiting for. And she said, Miss, I want to sit next to you. I don't want to wait back there. I'm bull, blah, blah. All right. So she got on her laptop and she starts playing music. And I said, What the fuck are you listening to? Is that um what's the depressed nigga name that's mad depressed? Rod Wave, is it? Yeah. I said, Are you listening to Rod Wave? That nigga depressed. She said, That's what everybody be saying about. It comes up, but when you listen to it, it's just yeah, it's it's a lie. Like, so she said, I love Rod Wave. I'm like, what are you going through? Like, she's like, I just love him. Like, yo, Drake just dropped. You can listen to Drake. She said, I don't really care about Drake. She said, I only write like three of his songs. I said, Three of his songs? He has mad songs. How do you want to write three? Listen to some real music, girl. You listen to that depression. That's why you're always in trouble. That shit is fucking with your head, girl.
SPEAKER_02Like they said that Rod Wave blends hip hop, RB, gospel, and pop into a unique sound.
SPEAKER_09Yes.
SPEAKER_02Gospel?
SPEAKER_09Because his music is very have you listened to a Rod Wave project?
SPEAKER_02I've listened to I've not a whole song. I've probably listened to three Rod Wave songs.
SPEAKER_09The nigga sound like he's crying on every song. But the thing is, the teenagers, my like, he came to the UBS arena and he had a concert. And when I tell you every kid was leaving early to go get their hair done, their outfits to go to this concert, they love this nigga, but he sounds so depressed. Like, I can't.
unknownI can't.
SPEAKER_02I'm just reading the name. The I'm reading the names of this nigga's songs. I don't want to listen to this nigga. Popular loner. Alone. Come see me. Cold December. Long journey. Paint the sky red. Shock the world. Poison. Forever set in stone. Tombstone. Boys don't cry. Love overdose. Numb. Soul fly. Fight the feeling. Pray for love. Heart on ice. Dark clouds. Something wrong with that nigga, bro.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, but you gotta understand the thing. Ending with dark crowds is clear. The teenagers love this nigga. Like they they look at him.
SPEAKER_02That's why they're crazy too.
SPEAKER_09I'm telling you, I'm like, yo, what the hell is wrong with y'all? Like, this is so depressing. Like, I cannot. They they really love listening to Rod Wave. And to me, it's like, yo, if what you putting into your system, what you listening to, you become that. And these kids be so depressed and emotional, moody. You're already a teenager, so your hormones are already out of control. Now you listening to this shit, like they listen to that and drill music. I'm like, this is a terrible combination.
SPEAKER_02Oh man.
SPEAKER_09That's right. I'm telling you.
SPEAKER_13It started before that. The Joe Buddons and the uh Kid Cutties.
SPEAKER_09Man, Joe Budden made some duck. Joe Budden made some dust. It's funny that you said that because I actually I earned more respect for Rod Wave when he went on the Joe Budden podcast and he interviewed with Joe Button. I was like, wow, I actually like got to know him a little better. And I and I was like, you know what? I really understand him. Because Rod Wave doesn't think that way of his music. You know what I'm saying? Like he thinks that his music isn't depressing or isn't it sad? He's just saying, if you don't listen to me, you wouldn't understand it. But if you sit next to a motherfucker and they hit play on their shit and you hear it, you're gonna be like, Why, what's going on?
SPEAKER_02Like, yeah, why you send me this shit, girl?
SPEAKER_09Yeah, what the fuck? Like, I I've never heard an upbeat Rod Wave song. You know what I'm saying? Like, I don't hear no versatility in his shit. So, yeah, I'm not a big fan. And at least with Joe Budden, like his shit was like, damn, like I uh I mean, he had versatility. That's what I can say about Joe Button. He wasn't just straight mood music and shit like you know what I'm saying? Like he had other shit going on where it wasn't just straight that. Like he was in, he was on, he was getting on the club bangers, you know what I'm saying? Like he had his own shit going on. He he had different waves to him. Rod Wave is like a one-trick pony to me. So, yeah, I don't I don't know.
SPEAKER_13I'm still looking up random years to 2013, right? Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, DJ Khaled, Little Kim, Mariah Carey, Meek Mill, Pusha T, J. Cole, Sean Kingston.
SPEAKER_09Nicki Minaj didn't even go that year.
SPEAKER_13Probably because her and Meek Mill broke up.
SPEAKER_02Two channels.
SPEAKER_09She wasn't even dating Meek Mill back then. That's because Funk Father. That was Rosenberg. Yeah, she got into a Rosenberg. So then that's when CCU went to that one, right?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, he said they don't make real hip-hop. And Mark is the one who told me that she wasn't coming on the stage.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, they said she's not now she's not coming out because you're disrespecting her before she even gets on stage. So why the fuck will she come out?
SPEAKER_02Her fans is there to see her, but I get it.
SPEAKER_05He said she don't make real hip-hop music. That's all right.
SPEAKER_02She said, Yeah, watch me not do this show, nigga. Show you real hip-hop.
SPEAKER_09People always talk shit about starships, but that shit made her the most money ever. You know that's that shit went crazy. I love starships. That shit ain't made her so much fucking money. That shit went quadruple platinum, whatever the fuck it did. Like, yeah, she catered to the white people with that one. And you so you that's what it's it's called versatility. Michael Jackson was Michael Jackson because he refused to just cater the black people. He wanted everybody to love his music, and that's what happened.
SPEAKER_13Like, if we talk about Nicki Minaj, don't mention the Michael Jackson. Like, what the fuck are we talking about? I'm just saying, I'm so trying to get this shit off.
SPEAKER_05Like, no, he be so pissed.
SPEAKER_02Should have said Jafar Jackson, not Michael Jackson.
SPEAKER_09Nah, hell no.
SPEAKER_02Um, keto Jackson.
SPEAKER_09Listen, um, so have you guys tried the new henny, the honey drinks that's out? No, I seen them though.
SPEAKER_02I didn't think I heard they asked.
SPEAKER_09They got the hennessey. I don't even do henney. Hennessy Rias, they got the Hennessy Berry, and they got the Hennessy iced tea.
SPEAKER_05I don't do the Henny no more. No drink.
SPEAKER_13Mark, did you try it? Nah, I don't care the city. I'm cool with rolling bleach. Yeah, I've retired the honey.
SPEAKER_10A long time ago. Mark has the tourists.
SPEAKER_13And even if I didn't, I'll be so proud of you. I like Henny straight. I don't care about the margarita. Maybe I'll try the um the Long Island, but that's that's it.
SPEAKER_02Mark said that's Long Island. I ain't gonna further word.
SPEAKER_09But I don't see as a as a former bartender, I don't like when people name drinks something that it's not, because a long island is a long island.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it mixed with all the different liquors.
SPEAKER_09You can't call it a long island and it's just cognac. Like that's not a long island, bro. And then also, um, I think I seen Ali talking about on his Facebook, and somebody commented, oh yeah, it's it's good, but it's strong.
SPEAKER_02Yo, you have me crying, bro.
SPEAKER_09I said, Yo, she on demon time with everybody. Because you know, I didn't I didn't even try this shit. But the fact is the shit is 14 alcohol, and it's a mixed drink, and he knows about it. Yes.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I don't want that shit. That shit is that shit is that shit is is the shit that'd be 14 and 12 in the gas station. I'm good on that.
SPEAKER_09That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_02Um that's what that shit was. The nigga said it was strong as hell.
SPEAKER_09That's what I said. I said, bro, you're lying. Like, what are you talking about? He just said, Oh, well, I don't drink, so it's strong for me. I said, So nigga, nobody's asking you for your review. It just makes sense. If you're asking people who drink, how was these new drinks? And the nigga that don't drink tasted it and give you the review. I don't give a fuck what you're talking about. Like, you're not wait.
SPEAKER_05So you inserted yourself on Alice to argue teleport is stronger than that.
SPEAKER_09Yes, I did because he got me tight. Like, nigga, did you know who it was?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, nigga, it was you know who it was.
SPEAKER_09It was Gwen. Oh man. Yo, just saying anything, like, bro, shut up. What do you mean? She could wait to curse somebody out that day. Leave people alone, Keith. He would just be saying anything. Like, what are you talking about?
SPEAKER_05Glenn's a perfect person to curse out. That's so funny.
SPEAKER_09The funny thing is, my sister's mad cool. My sister went to a liquor store to get them, and she was talking to the um the guy, and he was saying he doesn't really think he he said he hasn't tried it. He said, but I wouldn't try it because Hennessy has like what 40% alcohol in it. But the the mixed drink is like what 15 or some shit like that. He said it doesn't make sense. Like it should be a few. And then how much are they charging? It's like $15.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_02Oh, it's cheap as hell. That should have pissed me off, though. I over that shit up and I'm drinking some juice.
SPEAKER_05A dollar for each other.
SPEAKER_02I'd be so mad, bro. That's not, it's not worth it. It's not worth it. It's not worth it.
SPEAKER_09Hennessy trying to make a comeback.
SPEAKER_02Give me the henny white. Give me the henny white. Give me the henny white. If I'm gonna do henny, I only want henny white.
SPEAKER_09They're trying to make a comeback. Even the henny white is not the same because they're doing bullshit to that too.
SPEAKER_02Like, you gotta just Oh man, they changing everything, man. Ain't nothing good no more.
SPEAKER_09Tequila, aliens is out now.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I love tequila. I'm a tequila guy, so.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, tequila's alright. And there's so many different brands of tequila. Like, you don't have to stick to just one thing. Like, you it's so many different types of tequila out that you don't have to, you know what I'm saying? Like, it's it's good. Shit, I'd rather just cut water than drink that hennessy shit. Like, it's no way. It's no way. Um, yeah, but shout out to y'all that all went and ran to the store and brought all three bottles to try. I see what y'all do.
SPEAKER_02Yo, they definitely did. I was like, hey, yo, I'm over here, and people like, yeah, it's man, good. People going crazy, like, oh, I just couldn't help myself. I'm like, yo, just let me know what it tastes like. Just let me know what it tastes like.
SPEAKER_05I would have to taste that on some ice. I definitely would.
SPEAKER_02People don't even need it on the ice. You can open it up and take a swig of it. You could chug half the bottle and just be like, oh, juice.
SPEAKER_09I think I don't even think you gotta be drinks. I don't even think that you gotta be a real hennessee drinker to really try this.
SPEAKER_02Like, I think if if you it's not that's not a honey drink, that shit had to be 40% still, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_05How can we get people to keep buying honey?
SPEAKER_02Like, let's mix it with some still, not no damn 16 tailor pork is stronger than that shit. I'd rather drink Taylor. I'm not drinking no Taylor Pork, but me neither.
SPEAKER_13When chickles viral, everybody got a time. I'm cool on that.
SPEAKER_02That's a fact. The only thing I did was that that chicken sandwich. I did try it, and I was like, Man, they don't put something in this chicken sandwich because ain't no way people here fighting for it.
SPEAKER_13I tried that shit by accident before it went viral. I went to the mall. I was gonna get to mall Chinese, and then I seen that shit on the poster on uh um on Popeye's. I said, Oh shit, let me try it next. Then, like the next day or two days later, that shit went viral. Niggas waiting online, stabbing people up.
SPEAKER_05That's so crazy.
SPEAKER_02I love the mall Chinese mark.
SPEAKER_05That bourbon chicken and uh so much competition, too. I love it.
SPEAKER_02Word, it's like three of them on the same spot.
SPEAKER_13They be giving you mad food, Japanese, the Chinese, and then the other nigga on the corner. Even when I'm when I plan on going there, I act like I'm not. So they give me a bunch of samples and with the toothpicks. I'm like, hold on.
SPEAKER_09Standing between the two places, I don't know.
SPEAKER_05Why the why do the samples always taste better than when you get yours the samples always taste better than the plate? Yo, that's crazy. That bourbon chicken, though. That that's something different. I need that.
SPEAKER_02I'll always get I always get nah. See, I'm not I hate never mind.
SPEAKER_09The bourbon chicken, I like the bourbon chicken, but I don't know. It'd be like uh like it'd be tasting fatty sometimes.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I don't like that either, Key. I hate when it's fatty. That's why I'm like I need that sauce so I can make it myself. Yeah, that it don't need all that fat on it.
SPEAKER_09Listen, if you make bourbon chicken at home, you will never buy the one at the Chinese spot again. I'm telling you, it's so easy to make too. Yeah, it's so easy.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I'm gonna have to make bourbon chicken.
SPEAKER_05Send that um recipe through for that sauce, man.
SPEAKER_02I would love to make it. Yeah, we need that. We need that. Send that, Chef.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, it's way better. Um, I wanted to show y'all a video that I seen because I don't want to be that person, but about this honey thing. And the first thing that pops up on my algorithm.
SPEAKER_03Y'all did that. I can't lie, I can't lie, okay. Just got to the liquor store, you know what I came from. He got the hennesse. Hennessy. Only hit the spot in Forest Park, okay. Baby, y'all know I got it. Don't worry about it. Let's do it. The Hennessy Ice T is 18% alcohol, the Hennessy Rita is 18%, and then the Hennessy Berry is 20%. Let's start with a Hennessy Rita.
SPEAKER_09Mommy Cutie, uh, she drinks a lot. Like this girl drinks a lot. She tries all the new drinks, all the shit. But that's not what I was coming to show you. I was coming to show you what I sent my sister. I don't want to be that person, but here we go.
SPEAKER_08I'm not no big time conspiracy theorist, no none of that. But let me tell y'all something. Leave those henny bottles alone. Don't engage, don't get it, don't do it. Those henny berry, them flavored hennes, do not do it. That is a psyop out to destroy the black community. Don't do it, don't do it. Just like the Popeyes chicken sandwiches. This is another ploy to distract us. Do not get distracted right now. Cuba has completely been blacked out. They don't have no electricity, they don't have no gas, they don't have no oil, they don't have anything. And it is because of the United States blockade. Gaza has basically been completely obliterated. The reason why we don't really hear much or see much about it is because all of the people that were responsible for reporting, the journalists, the educators, all of them are no longer here with us. They want us to be distracted. They are trying to destroy us. Do not be distracted, do not be fooled by what is going on. They created a new alcohol. Leave liquor alone, period. Keep moving on. And on top of that, we need to stop funding these white corporations that are putting out these things and then enacting them in our communities so that we can be the ones funding these companies and corporations that don't care about us. We are not about to contribute more tax dollars to wars and all of this extra type of stuff. That's exactly what this is. Do not be fooled, do not go buy that new Hennessy with the flavors. Don't do it. It's too late, Cody, but that's a good point. No, it was a good point. But did you see the first comment that just said leave liquor alone?
SPEAKER_09Period. No, for real. And I I seen another comment that said what's weird about this is that Hennessy themselves isn't even promoting it. So I went to the Hennessy Instagram and shit like that. It's nowhere on there. Like they don't have it up. I only seen it on TikTok.
SPEAKER_02That's what that's that's that's creepy.
SPEAKER_09Um, Ali, how much is gas by you?
SPEAKER_02High as hell, for um like four four thirty, four, four thirty-four.
SPEAKER_09All right, it's about the same by us too, high as hell. Uh it's between depending on where you go, 430 to 450 a gallon.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the the cheapest around here, if you keep searching for a little bit, is like 409.
SPEAKER_09I think um, I think Mark found a spot by his job that was like 399.
SPEAKER_13399? Yeah. That line if you get there around 12 or 1 o'clock, that line is down a block.
SPEAKER_09And then it's um my my friend that lives in LA, he said he said gas is like $7 a gallon. You got a friend in LA? Of course, I got a friend in LA, my nigga. What is that?
SPEAKER_13$7 a day a gallon. That's sad. That is not my ex-boyfriend.
SPEAKER_05Stop making this resurface, man. That is not my ex-boyfriend.
SPEAKER_13Come here.
SPEAKER_02How do you want to describe him then? Out here just going through past times and people.
SPEAKER_09That is not my ex-boyfriend. That is, you know who he is. That's just my baby daddy. My baby daddy. Uh-huh. He ain't my ex-boyfriend, though. Um, but yeah, so I'm just saying that to say this, right? I also don't know that you guys know about the Cuba situation. Because I don't want to get into politics.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I heard, I heard that was gonna happen. I didn't know it happened already.
SPEAKER_09No, it happened. It's been going on for I think like two or three weeks already, where because of whatever's going on with Trump stopping, because Trump somehow America is in control over the oil in Cuba.
SPEAKER_13Yeah, so I've seen this. Yeah, well, since they captured old boy.
SPEAKER_09They have no, um, they have no anything. So, like, kids are dying and stuff like that because that they don't have any oil. People can't get, like, let's say they have an emergency, they can't get to the hospital because there's no oil, there's no gas.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the U.S. sanctions is is is is crazy on them right now.
SPEAKER_09Right. So they're really fucked up over there, which is scary. You know what I'm saying? It's not right. And I don't know the behind the scenes, I don't want to get into the politics of it, but there is a lot going on. So, what Shorty was saying is true. I respect it, but you know, it's alcohol. That's what people do. When shit is fucked up, what happened during the pandemic? Alcohol went out the roof. Niggas wasn't even caring about toilet people no more. They was just buying bottles of Don Julio and and all this other shit because it's a vice, you know what I'm saying? When things go wrong and shit is is happening, and you, you know what I'm saying? Like, people like to get into their vices and try to escape from reality. That's just that that's just what's gonna happen, and there's no judgment. But that's what that's the smartest thing to do, especially if somebody that's marketing, like, hey, the world is fucked up right now, people can't even afford gas. Let's throw some new liquor out there. People are gonna run and get it because it isn't it's an escape, it's just it is what it is. So um I like what she was saying, but girl, it's too late. It's too late. Our community is promoting this because, like I said, you don't even see this on the Hennessy website, you don't see it on the Hennessy Instagram or nothing like that. It's just our people making videos and going to get it, and people aren't even buying one bottle, they're buying all three of them shits. Like, you know, this is probably the it's a great film.
SPEAKER_02No, for real, bro. People doing too much. Why are you grabbing all three, bro? Like for real, bro. For us, $15, man. Henny, like $50, bro. I'm gonna get it.
SPEAKER_05For black people, I understand what the girl was saying, but it's like, you're right, it is too late. They already have these liquor stores in the communities. We've been learned this, like, you know, they put this in a whole tackle. The thing is, our fight is much bigger than that. That's only one thing to what we have to like, you know, go against and stuff like that. Unfortunately, there is a liquor store everywhere in a a black community, like it's out of the corner. But it's like you can't be like, all right, I'm not gonna get that Hennessy, but I'm gonna go buy this. It's already there, and our fight is bigger. We have still still keep note of that. But you know, we have we have a big fight, that included, but also more. So she's not wrong. It's just like they already fucked us up when they put it out there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and people still are are not are are not realizing it's still the lack of representation, and they're still trying to make that disparity even more with this rezoning and all the shit that they're doing, bro. It's it's getting even worse. It's wicked out there.
SPEAKER_05This is where we have to start thinking bigger and and building our own communities and not allowing liquor stores to be so present, you know? It could be like a liquor store, you know, around, but it doesn't have to be so uh frequent. We have to start building our own communities, like for real. People who have money, it can't, oh, I'm just gonna, I'm gonna buy a house. Not telling people what to do with their money, but I'm saying as as black people have to be.
SPEAKER_02Who's telling what to do with their money? Who's these richest niggas? LeBron.
SPEAKER_05We have to start building neighborhoods, communities, so we could be like, no, you won't come over here and build that over here. Because that's what they're doing.
SPEAKER_09And since since we are here, I did want to mention um last week we were talking about the Kevin Hart Rose. Did you see all the backlash that's happened since this call?
SPEAKER_05Oh, no, no, no, nobody said anything good, y'all.
SPEAKER_02Like, not it's going to be good.
SPEAKER_05No one said anything good about it. Everything I see, it's bad. It's not like, oh, watch it. People are saying, don't watch it. I could not watch it, I couldn't finish it.
SPEAKER_09It was exactly what you said, Cece, from watching them clips. You said everything I seen was not funny.
SPEAKER_05I'm like, this is so racist. I'm like, I know I'm not bugging.
SPEAKER_12Like, do I really watch the whole thing or did you just like it?
SPEAKER_05No, I really only seen the clips. I didn't watch the clips.
SPEAKER_12She doubled down.
SPEAKER_05Listen, it it was it was enough for me once I seen those clips.
SPEAKER_09Now, but one thing I would say, because last week you were we were talking about how um when Cheryl Underwood went up there, that she was saying this is what they said. They said that Cheryl Underwood, she even though no, no, no, no, no. Even though she had writers, she went off script when she went up there. They said she said what she wanted to say, and she said the reason why she did that was because it's comedy. So she knows that because they decided to talk about her ex husband's suicide and stuff like that, that now she has to be able to say what she wants to say, and then she can also bring uh awareness to mental black people and mental health and things like that. Um, I still didn't see Cheryl Underwood's uh segment, but I also didn't see everything else in the show. I like I said, I never went back to finish it. Because after I spoke about it here and then I started seeing all the backgrounds and I actually started paying attention to what I'm seeing online, I said, fuck no, I'm not giving them any more of my time watching that shit. Like, I'm good off of that. But just hearing the nasty things that they were saying about, like, it wasn't funny. Um, and that's the thing about dark humor. Dark humor is still funny, and it's like, it's like if you're not into dark humor, or if you're into dark humor, it's like, damn, that's funny. It's fucked up to laugh at, but that's funny. It wasn't nothing funny about them talking about her ex-husband committing suicide. Like, it wasn't.
SPEAKER_05They're like, oh, don't bring Sheryl Underwood's uh husband next to a bridge. Like, it's not funny, like it's just y'all just saying it because he committed suicide, and like, you know, it's like, I don't know.
SPEAKER_09Kevin Hart, I'm sorry, he just he just became like he he he was cooning for me. Like that. I always love Kevin Hart, and I I I I definitely wanted to give him grace after that that Cat Williams shit, but this was like and he's laughing at everything, like everything is so fucking hilarious, and it's like the pictures that they was putting up talking about this is Kevin Hart.
SPEAKER_05They would they had black people dancing, this black character dancing. I'm like, yo, there's like every racist joke, he's cracking up, like yeah, like he was cooning.
SPEAKER_09Like, I didn't understand. I'm like, bro, that's not even funny. Like, it's not like I enjoy Kevin Hart organically, right? Like, I love when I see him join the Druwski um the the Drewski stream with with Kai Sonai and shit. Like, I love shit like that because Kevin Hart is naturally funny, but when it comes to like this shit, I was just like, how could you you if you you gotta stand for something or you will fall for anything? Like, if they got you, just say that. Because why would you with your big name and your big brand and who you are and how much you put into this industry, why are you attaching yourself to something like that? Like, it's not necessary. Ugh, like I just uh I don't like that. And I'm glad, um, even though, like I said, I didn't finish watching it, but I I hear a lot of good things about Cheryl Underwood and her performance and how she went off script and she said what she said. So many people have spoken out about it. Even Chelsea Handler, you know what I'm saying? Even though she was up there part of the road, she said. Chelsea Handler was coming at niggas after that. I said that I seen hers, and then even after it, she made statements saying that they were racist.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, she's like straight up racist.
SPEAKER_09Like, yeah, so shout out to her. We know she's not racist, she loves her some black dick.
SPEAKER_02Yes, she knew.
SPEAKER_05And now we don't know, we never know. Mark's co-worker.
SPEAKER_13Listen, never know how to black dick can still be racist.
SPEAKER_02That's that's crazy.
SPEAKER_05That is a fact.
SPEAKER_02You gotta stay away from them. Those are the worst kind of women.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, that's a fact. Yo, what's she?
SPEAKER_02The scariest kind of women.
SPEAKER_09Me? This girl got something. No, I'm not eating, I was pulling my nose. Oh, okay. I thought I heard it. I thought I heard a bite. No, no, no. I actually today before we record it, that's why I have so much energy. I drank iced coffee. I haven't drank iced coffee in a minute. Um, but I got a free reward. Mark sent me the coupon for Dunkin' Donuts, free coffee. So I got it, and it makes me so full. Like, I I wanted some pizza before I drank it, and now I'm like so full, I don't want anything. Oh, we know you're full. Put that damn coffee down. I finished it. Iced coffee. Yo, coffee has coffee has empty calories, so it fills you up. Like, I don't even think how people could eat breakfast and drink coffee because it really does fill you up.
SPEAKER_05It does fill you up. So does tea for some reason.
SPEAKER_09I have so much tea now. I'm a tea drinker, I have a wow. I love tea. I had a taste for coffee today, and now I regret it because I really had a taste for pizza, and I'm just so full from that coffee. But oh well. Um, one more other thing that I wanted to mention before we go is that raising canine is coming back. Yes, June is it June 13th, did they say? June 13th. I can't wait to see Rock. The final season. Um, and from the trailer, you can see that Rock doesn't get she's not dead. She's does she enough. She's gonna be at war with Kanan um this season. Um, they saw a lot of rock in the trailer, so that's how you know.
SPEAKER_05I can't wait, y'all.
SPEAKER_09I can't wait either. I'm sad that it's over, but you know, I'm glad that power is back. I haven't we haven't had seen power, like it hasn't been anything from power in a while. So I know I'm glad that it's back.
SPEAKER_05It's been hard to watch stuff, honestly. It really has, not gonna lie. I did Patina has a hold on me, and I really love her. She wrote me back that what time on TikTok. I just feel like we're together. Can't wait to see her again. I can't wait to see her again. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_09Somebody was saying in the comments, like, why would they ruin this for us? We don't know if she died or not, but now y'all showing us she didn't die. Why are y'all trying to kill her off so fast? We know that she does get killed, she dies, we know that, but at the same time, like, did y'all really think Canaan was gonna kill her that fast? Like, and they got a whole nother season. They need we need Rock. Um, I think Rock does die in this season, though. I think they're gonna do the same thing like how they did Monet, you know?
SPEAKER_05Oh man, if rock that I that's gonna really hurt me. My eyes are tearing up right now. If they do that, like I will write 50 myself. Like, don't you ever? I really love her. It's my girl. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_02Oh, rock. Nigga said, You've been my enemy my whole fucking life.
SPEAKER_05And I can't wait to see the fits. Like, I love I love this.
SPEAKER_13I'm gonna see Obsession this weekend. I heard that's a really great movie. Yeah, I heard it was fire. It's scary as hell.
SPEAKER_09Isn't there already a movie called Obsession with Beyonce? It's obsessed. Obsessed. Obsess.
SPEAKER_13My movie.
SPEAKER_09Okay. Obsession is just Elva.
SPEAKER_13Which I didn't find out until today, but hey, it is what it is. I like to go into movies blind. I don't watch trailers no more. I don't read the description. I see a lot of people talking about it. I'm going to see it.
SPEAKER_05So did you um oh, you went to see it, you said?
SPEAKER_13No, I'm going to.
SPEAKER_09I'm going to yeah, I want to actually go see the Michael Jackson movie again. Um deadass. I want to see it again. Um, but yeah, I I also want to say, what the fuck is DJ Academics ups? Like, does he have a boy crush on Drake or what? Like, he is the top glazer of Drake. Have y'all been seeing this shit?
SPEAKER_13He the way he be meat writing Drake. Oh my god. He's going crazy, bro. Nigga, he he was meat writing so much he got an OBO chain now.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, no, he's a top glazer of Drake. Wait, who academics? Oh my gosh. Like, he yo, I'd be like, bro, okay, get off his dick. Like, it's so annoying. And I don't even follow this nigga, but he keeps popping up on my algorithm on Twitter. The nigga put something like, um, they asked me if I could, if I wanted a hundred K or Dinner with the GOAT. I chose dinner with the GOAT, and it's him sitting eating with Drake or something. Like, nigga, you are a glazer. Like, what the fuck is wrong with you? I I I can't I can't deal with academics. He's annoying. Like, it's no it's no, I'm I'm listening this with a group check. I'm saying I just seen a picture of him on Twitter. That's why I'm saying that. Says academics um before dinner with Drake.
SPEAKER_13There's about eight songs on there that I really like out of 18.
SPEAKER_09We're not gonna get back into that again. Um but yeah, that's about it, y'all. I don't really have anything more to talk about or discuss. Unless you guys have something that I missed that I didn't write on my notes.
SPEAKER_05Can I send y'all a funny video? I just want y'all to laugh real quick.
SPEAKER_13You can send me any video you want.
SPEAKER_05Shut up, Mark. I need to send y'all this to the group chat key. If you could play it, please, just before we end. Okay, is it a TikTok or it's a it's a TikTok. Okay. It's a girl, it's this girl telling this story about when she was younger, but okay. I needed to post it for my black people so we can get a good laugh. This is hilarious. Like, okay. I sent it. All right, hold on.
SPEAKER_13I can't y'all listen because it's so looking for it. I can't stand a detective in nemesis. This nigga gets on my nerves. His wife gets on my fucking nerves, his son gets on my fucking nerves. Like the whole damn family gets on the pops. I kind of like the piles. The pops are kind of cool, but everybody else, they get on my goddamn nerves.
SPEAKER_09No, don't ruin it now. We already told you, we're gonna watch it. We'll talk about it.
SPEAKER_13I'm not going into details, I'm just saying who I hate.
SPEAKER_09All right. Yeah, cool. Um, okay, I got Cece's video. The time I made my mama guess which one of her friends passed away. Passed away.
SPEAKER_11So I remember when I was younger, my mama had a falling out with one of her friends, right? And they wasn't talking. And I remember one day when she was at work, my auntie had called, and she called like four or five times. And my mom had this policy in her house, like, well, this rule in her house, especially when she was gone, like, don't answer her phone or her door. Um, you know, especially with the phone, especially if it's only for her. Or you feel what I'm saying? Like, she didn't play that shit. So I'm like, Yeah, she already gone this day and third. And she like, well, I'm about to uh head out on this retreat, and I'm not gonna be able to have my phone because she was like real big in the church or whatever. So she like, you know, tell your mom that you know so-and-so passed away. And I'm oh yeah, like, okay, cool. Like, my mama's gonna love to hear this. And I just hung up. So, like, TT called back and she was like, What you mean? I was like, Um, TT, I gotta go do my chores. I'm really not supposed to be on the phone, but I'm gonna tell her, okay. And so I'm just thinking, like, oh my god, my mama's gonna be so happy. Like, I'm gonna have some good news for her when she gets off trade. So, like, as soon as my mom came in, I couldn't wait. I said, Ma, guess who died? Like, with the biggest fucking smile. Yo, what?
SPEAKER_15She's tweaking. She's tweaking.
SPEAKER_11She looked at me and said, Girl, what? Why the fuck are you smiling? Like, that's not funny. I was like, no, Ma, for real. Like, just guess. And then immediately after she's like, who, who, my sister, my mama, my cousin? I'm like, cold, cold. The guessing game of who died is crazy. I am motherfucking cold on somebody. Life is crazy. Like, and what made it for more fucked up was she was like, Trinity, this tell me who. I'm like, no, guess. Like, I'm gonna try to make her guess like Trinity, I got time for these motherfucking games. She's like, let me call my motherfucking mama because she doesn't make she was like, I'm about to whoop your motherfucking ass and go, Toby. It's like okay, jeez. Like, and so I said, Your homegirl so-and-so. And she was just like, Trinity, stop fucking playing. I said, Did y'all make up or like I'm scared because like in my mind, bitch, if we got beef, we got beefed to the afterlife. Like, what the fuck you sad for? But I knew at that moment I was just like, I was set to be a visual person for life because like I was deadass so confused. Why the fuck my mama was mad and whooped my ass. Bitch, I thought we was on the same, I thought we were the same thing. Like, you my girl. I was just trying to figure out like what's I thought we was, I thought we were there with it.
SPEAKER_02One band, one like you see what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_11If it's if it's fuck you, it's fuck me too. Like, bitch, that's how I was rocking behind my mama at the time. Like, you couldn't tell me shit about it. You couldn't do shit, bitch. What's up? Like, but that shit was so I can't.
SPEAKER_05Yo, that shit had me crying. I'm like, yo, that is so she said, guess who died? Like, why would she be happy to hear that just because they fell out? Like, kids are the worst. This is the most we laughed in an episode. Watch when you hear it back. This is a great episode. We laughed a lot.
SPEAKER_09I told you I was a good idea to start with Ali off the rap off the bat. Like, that was just definitely gonna work.
SPEAKER_13That nigga was mad at first. That's so annoying, son.
SPEAKER_02That's so annoying. All right, here wrap this shit up, B. Wrap this shit up.
SPEAKER_09Ah no, we we could get out of here, yo. Um, this was a great episode. Listen to it. It really was. Thank you for for staying with us. Thank you for being a loyal listener. SPEAKER_09Yes, let's go, Nick. Get your brooms out. All right, y'all. We are out of here till next week. Peace.
SPEAKER_02So what the fuck I said, gang gang with the gang.
