Speaker 1:

This is the Good Neighbor podcast, the place where local businesses and neighbors come together. Here's your host, garfield Bowen.

Speaker 2:

Welcome to the Good Neighbor podcast. All your need of a natural path, doctor, one may be closer than you think. Today I have the pleasure of introducing Dr Loren with Belzin Wellness Center. Dr Loren, how are you doing today?

Speaker 3:

I'm doing well, thank you. And then, thank you for inviting me and thank you for all your broadcasts listening to me. Thank you for having me.

Speaker 2:

We're excited to learn all about you and your practice. Tell us about your company.

Speaker 3:

Belzin Wellness Clinic is a virtual clinic that allows me to see patients anywhere in the world without leaving their house. We help people balancing their hormones, treat their gut problem and manage their fibromyalgia.

Speaker 2:

So how did you get into this business?

Speaker 3:

Belzin Wellness Clinic is an evolution of my experience regarding self-care. These have been inspired by my own story of overcoming fibromyalgia, distress, hormonal imbalance, sleepless nights to work through, my daily bedating effect of leaving with autoimmune disease.

Speaker 2:

Wow. So, in terms of natural doctors, what are some of the items that your practice encounters? What are some of the kind of patients that you see that's ideal fit for the natural path, dr?

Speaker 3:

Well, usually we see patients come to us, which is very strength. They come to us after they, because most people don't believe in holistic medicines. They don't, but they come to you after they utilize all their actions and they don't have any more. They are hopeless, they have nothing more to do and they will come to you and we usually help them, especially people with hormone problem, people with fatigue, people with pain. We do see this patient and we most of the time 99% they get released.

Speaker 2:

So those are the patients that really fit best. The natural path? Okay, okay, that makes sense. So tell me what are some of the myths and misconceptions of your industry.

Speaker 3:

Again, it's not believe in a holistic, because you know all our life, we know that the doctor have to give you a pill to feel better and they don't understand that. No, you don't need medication side, because medication what it will do to you is give you a side effect. Us, we don't treat you as I have a headache. I give you a pill If you have a headache. I try to find out what is wrong with you, why you're having that headache, why you're having pain. So we treat the whole body, not the pain itself, not the effect, but we try to find out what is really happening and this is which with you. So most people don't believe, I won't say most. A lot of people don't believe in the way we deal with our patient, but they do get results.

Speaker 2:

So you recommend, like different foods or different habits.

Speaker 3:

Definitely it's a lifestyle, a lot of sickness that we have started in our gut. Okay, if we eat better, if we have a lot of lifestyle, you will definitely feel better.

Speaker 2:

And as far as the headaches, I guess they may have that friend that keep giving them a headache. They need to get rid of that friend.

Speaker 3:

Yes, stress and sometimes it's nutrition also to lack of vitamins give you headaches. So there's so many things. We have to look at what's happening and then we treat them.

Speaker 2:

So, dr Loren, when you're not busy doctoring, what do you like to do for fun?

Speaker 3:

I play golf. I travel a lot because I do a lot of free seminars for women, so I do that a lot. I participate in my congressional activities, church, I do that and, yeah, that's the most. I love cooking and, you know, taking care of my family.

Speaker 2:

Okay, let's change gears a little bit. Life often does curve balls. Let's talk about hardship, life challenge, something that you went through and could look back today and say you're better and stronger because of that. What comes to mind?

Speaker 3:

My fibromyalgia diagnosis. Yeah, when I diagnosed it with fibromyalgia, I thought that was the end of life.

Speaker 3:

Tell us what that is, because I'm not going to know about it because it's a disease that first of all until I think we have one or two actresses who are the actresses with fibromyalgia this is when it's become very popular the people never know about it. Usually, when you have fibromyalgia, doctors think that it's mental, there's nothing wrong with you. Then sometimes they give us pain medications to calm you down, they give you a sedative to relax you and because they cannot find you cannot, they cannot see what's wrong. What's wrong with you after tests are tests and you can't see what is wrong with you. So after fibromyalgia, what it is?

Speaker 3:

It's debilitating everything you could take off in your body. You start having pain, you start having, you don't sleep, you have pain all over, you don't sleep at all and disease after disease start coming in. You have brain frogs. Again I said, you're not sleeping, you're having brain frogs, you're having your body. It's totally day after another. You cannot move and you're having rush. You're having oh it is so many, it's unbelievable. It's a ladder side effect of fibromyalgia and I think that was my biggest challenge in my life.

Speaker 2:

So how did you overcome it?

Speaker 3:

Well, I put a protocol together. I change the way I live, I change the way that I my everyday life, and I have a protocol that from food to nutrition, to exercise, to everything else, and then here I am. So I feel that I have to help other people come out of it.

Speaker 2:

It reminds me of. I was watching something on the Discovery Channel about Dr Kellogg.

Speaker 3:

Oh, definitely, no matter if fact, Dr Kellogg is the pioneer of natural path.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I didn't know that.

Speaker 3:

Okay, dr Kellogg is a pioneer.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, just don't eat the cereal, right.

Speaker 3:

That is right. Unfortunately he is the pioneer.

Speaker 2:

Unfortunately he changed his mind and I guess money is more than anything else, and there is yeah, so I want you to tell our listeners one thing they should remember about Belzeb Wellness Clinic.

Speaker 3:

Well, one thing we could remember, the most important thing we treat you, we treat all our patients without the side effect of medication, so you could have a better life, a pain free, intimate and intimate, and a more joyful life. That is so important.

Speaker 2:

A lot of my listeners now are probably thinking of things that they're having problems with, or family members that have different problems, different things, and they probably have one word on their lips right now, and that's how to reach Dr Loretta.
