Speaker 1:

This is the Good Neighbor Podcast, the place where local businesses and neighbors come together. Here's your host, Garfield Bowen.

Speaker 2:

Welcome to the Good Neighbor Podcast. Are you in need of a paver? Well, one may be closer than you think. Today I have the pleasure of introducing your good neighbor, aaron Turner, with Paver Pressure and Repair. Aaron, how are you doing today?

Speaker 3:

I'm doing pretty well, garfield, hope you are. I am well as well. Listen, we're excited to learn all about you and Repair, where we do everything papers all the way, starting from the installs all the way to taking care of them, cleaning and sealing them.

Speaker 2:

So how did you get into this business? You look young. What are you? 18, 21?, 20 minutes.

Speaker 3:

How did you get into this? Business I got in the business a little over a year ago, where I just sit down with myself, and I was like you know what? Ultimately, I saw how my parents were growing up and I was like man, my family is so important to me, that's what I want to prioritize. So I started it to ultimately spend time with my family, you know.

Speaker 2:

Interesting, interesting take on it. But why the paver? But why?

Speaker 3:

the paver. Well, the opportunity that I kind of saw was just pavers nonstop in Port St Lucie and ultimately I was working a job where I got to see a lot of Florida, and so the pavers don't stop in Port St Lucie, they go all over what's the misconception, and some listeners don't even know what a paver is.

Speaker 2:

So elaborate a little bit.

Speaker 3:

So a paver is? It's a concrete stone. They call them paver stones. They come in a variety of sizes. A lot of the times they're used for driveways or back patios, just as an alternative driving driving source.

Speaker 2:

And what are some of the misconceptions? What's the pros and cons about, you know, having the stones, the papers.

Speaker 3:

So about 10, 15 years ago concrete was the biggest thing being put down right. It was concrete everywhere and that's kind of changed. It's really changed a lot. Papers are probably the number one construction material going down in Florida to date. So probably one of the probably a misconception about the business or the industry is, you know, small businesses don't know what they're doing or they can't get the job done the right way.

Speaker 2:

Okay. So, um, aaron, when you're not busy running your business, what does Aaron like to do for fun?

Speaker 3:

Well, it's funny because I started the business to be able to spend more time and I'm probably working more than I ever have. So I am engaged to be married later this month. And congratulations, I am engaged to be married later this month, congratulations. Thank you so much.

Speaker 2:

So we are busy planning the rest of our lives. Okay, so what you're saying is you're going to have a lot of time for fun later on, huh?

Speaker 3:

Not a lot.

Speaker 2:

Let's change gears a little bit. Life often does us curveball. Let's talk about one struggle, one hardship, something that you can look back today and say you're better and stronger because of it.

Speaker 3:

Well, I struggled with addiction to drugs and alcohol for a good part of my life and I never could really get a grasp on it. Thankfully, this time in October, I'll be three years sober. Having gone through that. It really has made me see what life is all about and ultimately made me a much stronger individual because of that.

Speaker 2:

Congratulations on that. Thank you, I'm going to put you on the spot a little bit, if it's okay.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, let's go Now our listeners, there's a lot you want to share about your company, but I want you to narrow it down to one thing. You want our listeners to remember about Pavers, pressure and Repair. Well, one thing, ultimately I don't want them to just come over here and give me a call. I really don't. I want them to know that we exist, that this company exists and, ultimately, I want them to know that, whatever company they choose good, bad we are going to be your path to pay for perfection.

Speaker 2:

Okay now I'm sure you put something in some of their heads and they're thinking like I'm sure you put something in some of their heads and they're thinking like hmm this guy seemed kind of confident Check them out. So the only in mind right now is how? How can I get more information on pavers pressure and repair?
