Exploring Astrology and Empowerment: A Conversation with Brittany Pastuhov
Ever wondered if there's more magic waiting to be discovered in your life? Meet Brittany Pastuhov, founder of Third House LLC and your good neighbor astrologer who's been professionally guiding clients through the cosmos since 2016.
Brittany's approach to astrology and tarot reading breaks away from common misconceptions. Far from the stereotype of fortune-tellers who make scary predictions or attempt to impress with vague generalities, she positions herself as an ethical practitioner whose primary goal is serving her clients. "I really pride myself on developing good relationships with clients, where my job is to serve them and help them understand what's going on in the spiritual realm," she explains with genuine warmth.
What sets Brittany's practice apart is her focus on empowerment. As an astro empowerment coach, she works primarily with clients—often women—who feel restless in their current situations or sense they're not pursuing their dreams. These individuals haven't lost their connection to their intuition; that connection has simply been hidden while they've focused on "trying to make it in the world." Through astrology and tarot, Brittany helps rebuild that essential link to authenticity and desire, guiding clients toward dream careers and greater confidence.
Beyond her consulting practice, Brittany hosts the Third House Podcast covering astrology forecasts, magic, and tarot. When not working, she enjoys family time with her husband and two young children in Vermont. For those seeking guidance, Brittany sees clients locally in Brattleboro and can be reached through her website at BrittanyPastuhov.com or on Instagram @brittany.pastuhov. Ready to reconnect with your authentic self and discover the magic waiting in your stars? Brittany's message is clear: "I am here to support your vision and your dreams as a client."
This is the Good Neighbor Podcast, the place where local businesses and neighbors come together. Here's your host, Garfield Bowen.
Speaker 2:Welcome to Good Neighbor Podcast Live. Are you in need of an astrologer? Well, one may be closer than you think. Today I have the pleasure of introducing your good neighbor, brittany Prestahub, with Third House LLC. Brittany, how are you doing today?
Speaker 3:Doing well. Thank you, Garfield. Thanks for having me on.
Speaker 2:Listen, we're excited to learn all about you and your business. Tell us about your company. We're excited to learn all about you and your business. Tell us about your company.
Speaker 3:So I am an astrologer. I've been practicing for years, since 2016 professionally. I also read tarot, and these are things that I've been studying for a lifetime, and I'm an astro empowerment coach.
Speaker 2:So, with some of my clients who want to go further. We use the planets and the astrology to help them develop more confidence and make choices towards their dreams, usually a dream career.
Speaker 3:Okay, sure, Everybody wanted to know how did you get into this business, brittany? Yeah, I've always been interested in kind of the esoteric and fortune telling. I remember receiving a book about fortune telling when I was a child and I always wanted to read more astrology books. Started reading tarot when I was 15. So it just grew from there, but it was really a hobby for a long time before I decided to start asking for money for readings.
Speaker 2:What are some of the myths and misconceptions of your industry?
Speaker 3:Yeah, I think there are a lot of misconceptions about astrologers and tarot readers. I think that people often are afraid to get a reading. They're afraid that I'll tell them something scary, or they've had bad experiences with practitioners in the past who maybe like were unethical with the information they revealed. I really pride myself on being an ethical reader and trying to serve the client, not just making predictions from ego or trying to impress people, but really working with the client to help them make the decision that feels best for them, and I always want my clients to follow their own intuition and use their discernment ultimately, even though the advice from the cards of the stars can be really useful information. But I think one of the misconceptions is that all readers are kind of just grifters or are trying to take advantage of people or are going to scare you, and that's really not true. And I really pride myself on developing good relationships with clients, where my job is to serve the client and help them understand what's going on in the spiritual realm.
Speaker 2:On the business end, we know that marketing is the heart of every business. How would you define your customer and how do you attract them?
Speaker 3:in their life, somebody who my clients are often kind of restless in the job that they have. They feel like their life could be more magical or there's a dream that they're not chasing, and so they come to me to reconnect with their own magic. They come to me to reconnect with the truth about who they are and sometimes for answers and advice from the cards. But I would say usually I'm working with mostly women, although it's not exclusively women and we're working to help them build that connection to their authenticity that has not been lost but has just been hidden as they've been focusing on trying to make it in the world, and sometimes people are disconnected from their intuition and we're rebuilding that connection to who they really are and what they really want.
Speaker 2:Okay, I know you're on the Good Neighbor podcast today, but have you ever?
Speaker 3:thought about doing your own podcast. I do have a podcast, actually. It's called Third House Podcast and it's all about astrology forecasts, magic, tarot, and I like to interview creatives and artists on there as well, because I'm a writer yeah.
Speaker 2:When you're not so busy running all your businesses, what do you like to do for fun?
Speaker 3:I have a family. I have two young children under five, so most of the time when I'm not busy running my business, I'm playing with my kids. Spending time with my husband doing family-oriented things where I live in Vermont. Spending time with my husband doing family-oriented things where I live in Vermont.
Speaker 2:And that's usually where you'll find me at a park or a playground or a local event if I'm not working. I want you to tell our listeners one thing if we were to limit it to one thing, what should they?
Speaker 3:remember about Third House LLC? Oh, that's a really good question. One thing to remember about Third House LLC is that I am here to support your vision and your dreams as a client.
