Hey, magical human. Welcome back to Money and Magic. It has been a while since I have released an episode. But we are back and I am releasing this specific episode on Friday the 13th for a very significant reason, and I'm here to talk to you guys about it. So this episode is gonna be a little money, a little magic, and a whole lot of tea.

So let's jump into what the heck have I been up to in the last year? So the first big piece of news is. I'm divorced. I got a divorce last year, and that is a lot of why I have been MIA in the podcast world. Um, so I have officially been a legally single woman for six months on the day that this is released.

So a little backstory, I left my husband at the end of May. We were together for 17 years. We were married for seven and a half. And when we got married, we actually got married on Friday the 13th. So it's very fitting that this episode is coming out on Friday the 13th because that does have a significance in my life and part of this story.

I do plan to put out a little mini sode here very soon. That gives you all of the details of my divorce, at least what I'm willing to share right now. Um, but that's just gonna be a mini sode, so you do not have to listen to that. But if you're interested, that will be out there soon. So in this last six months, what exactly has changed for me, other than the fact that I got a divorce, uh, my business has grown so much.

I have gotten several new clients. I've also lost a few clients. I have met a bunch of new people, and I am currently the vice president for a local networking group called Women in Business Unlimited. I am also the treasurer for Jackson, Franklin for Congress campaign. So I'm doing a lot of things now that.

I wasn't necessarily told I couldn't before. I was just held back from a lot of that in a lot of sneaky ways that I didn't realize until now. Obviously, I am recording my podcast again, and I'm really starting to get back into all of the things that I wanted to do that kind of got put on hold due to the chaos of getting divorced last year.

So as of now, I am. Loving my life. I have a newfound joy and freedom, and I am really excited to share that with you guys as I start talking more and more about money and magic and all of the things. Again, I currently live in a one bedroom apartment with me and my cat. I have no other obligations. I have nobody else to worry about.

It is pretty cool. Uh, I just upgraded my bed. I got a brand new king size bed with a bed frame and a headboard like I've always wanted. And it's kind of crazy just to be like, I'm the only one who makes decisions. I plan to do a lot of traveling and experiencing all the new things. So as I'm doing that, I'm gonna share, I'm gonna talk about that in my podcast because that's my life.

One thing that I also wanna mention that is very important to me is in this timeframe, um, a little bit before I got divorced, it really didn't have anything to do with me being divorced, but, um, I have recently realized that I identify as bisexual. So that is something that I'm exploring and learning about and figuring all of that stuff out.

So you'll hear about my stories when it comes to that stuff too, if you don't wanna hear about the personal things. Feel free to skip on over. Uh, but I think that's kind of what makes me who I am. So I would really appreciate it if you did listen to those stories. So. This episode is really kind of just a, hey, like, what is going on with me?

What can you expect from the new season? So obviously this is called Money and Magic, so we are going to talk about all things money and magic, just like we usually do. I'm going to repeat some of the content that I have discussed in the past because I think it's very important and it doesn't hurt to hear it again.

Feel free to go back and listen to. Season one and all of those 30 episodes that I did and get a feel for all of that money stuff. But I have also grown a lot and learned a lot since I released those episodes. So I'm going to be putting the same similar content out, but just updated. Um, those ones aren't going anywhere.

All of that'll be there. So I'm definitely gonna talk about a lot of that same stuff. I'm gonna get into some deeper stuff, like investing. I wanna talk about some small business taxes and things like that, so there is plenty of money to come and obviously magic. We're gonna talk about all of the different celebrations, the moons, the things that I would usually do anyway.

So you could expect all of that. I do plan on releasing episodes every two weeks, just like I did before. It's gonna be on Fridays. Occasionally I might throw a little mini so at you, and that's just gonna be short, sweet, to the point. It's gonna be about what's going on in my life. Possibly it might be something political.

Um, I am very active in the political realm and if you are not right now, if you don't know what's going on, I really. Urge you to figure that out. Uh, I'll talk about that in some minisodes, but overall it's gonna be the same content. I'm just gonna be doing it from more of a growth mindset. Um, I've been in therapy and I've been journaling and I've been working through a lot.

Something else that you can. Expect is, I'm gonna talk a lot about how divorce affected my money and what it was like trying to find an apartment and housing and all of that stuff. So that's new. That's content that I didn't have before. But now that I have those experiences, I wanna talk about them. So at this point, the next few episodes, um, I definitely plan on talking about tax updates because.

The world of Trump's stupid tax bill is chaos. So I'm gonna talk about that in our next episode. And then in March I'm gonna talk about, uh, divorce money and the before divorce, money after divorce, money, how you can prepare yourself. Things that I ran into that I wasn't expecting or aware of, or hidden costs and all of that.

So that's definitely gonna be kind of divorced, focused, but it can help you regardless. If you have any topics that you're like, I really wish you would talk about this or that, let me know. I'm here to tell you my story.

So I'm really excited to be back. I am really excited to talk to you guys about money and magic and all things in that realm. Uh, and a little sprinkle of divorce info in there as well, if you will. So that is my life update. I have more episodes to come. So mark your calendars because. It is right around the corner and we are going to talk all of the things.

Money and magic is back and more feral than ever. So I will see you guys in the next episode.
