Good morning from Animal Kingdom. Good morning. How are we doing, Healy? I'm good. The vibes here are so lovely. So so nice. And so nice to not be in a rush. I know. We're very chill people. Did you know? Did you know? We don't do any as often. As of today, we've turned over a new leaf, as it were. But somebody's giving them a hug. A little kid. A big hug. Oh, I love that. That is really cute. Um, I read somewhere that the characters never break a hug. They always wait for the kids first. That's really cute. It looks like that might be what was happening there. For like a long time, potentially. That's adorable. Um, yeah, we're walking in, we're headed. We didn't go to the food court this morning. We decided to get food and coffee here. So just like takes a step out of the process, basically. But yeah, we slept like the den again. Again. Um bus was a little bit of a wait, but it was a super short ride. So we're really just here to we're gonna ride Everest. We're gonna get coffee, probably hit Nomad, poke around a little bit. My kids want souvenirs from here. And then that's it. A little midday break. A little midday break. I think Haley's gonna head back to the hotel for some cool time. I'm gonna run to Magic Kingdom to do the shopping I didn't do yesterday, which I should have just done yesterday, but I don't want to leave it till tomorrow. Makes me nervous. So that's the plan. We'll check in later. What a morning, Haley. It was lovely. It really was. I'm relaxed. We did a good job. We did. When we last checked in right when we were walking in, right? Yeah. It was like 9:30, 9:10. We got some coffee and a giant cinnamon roll. Which is very fresh. Not warm, but fresh. Yeah. Uh and I got a cappuccino, which was very good. We went and ate it. Uh, even though Plain Tree was not open, the seating area was, so we found a nice quiet shady spot. We made friends with some ducks. The ducks were very interesting. Very excited. Um, but yeah, we like called the kids, called the husbands, adjusted some plans, yep, set some alerts, and really just took our time. Then we went to Everest where we waited less than five minutes in the single rider line for the first ride, and then basically walked on for the second rider.

It was a blast. It was very fun. I had like chatty people next to me both times, which was very fun. Yeah. And one of them had on a t-shirt from the Millennium Celebration, which was like probably my favorite year of Disney.

Um, so we were chatting about that. That was fun, really fun. Um, and then because Haley made me go on Everest twice in a row, I earned my breakfast margarita. You did. So we got that. We went to Thirsty River Bar, which is kind of my favorite like combo of things. It's our goal to. Hang on, I gotta finish this. Can we pull over? It's okay, yeah. Um, yeah, so we went to Thirsty River Bar. I got the green shimmering margarita as usual with a tahine rim because that's what you do. I got the Himalayan ghost as always. Yeah, Haley loves that Himalayan ghost, and it was a walking beverage because at that point Nomad had opened, but the wait was still 65 minutes um for walk-up. So we put ourselves on the list. We accidentally took a wrong turn, got to do a little Pandora detour, yeah, a little scenic route. Yeah, we thought about stopping in a Pandora gift shop, but my kids all got Pandora um souvenirs last time, so it just didn't make sense. So we just kept on walking, and then right as we were approaching uh Nomad Lounge, we found a little spot in the shade, and we're finishing our drinks and again like making some changes to our reservations and stuff. Yeah, and then it was ready like way early, so we wound up getting seated pretty quickly. We were actually seated in what we think is usually a Tiffin's dining room, but maybe they just use it in the morning. So the vibes were different than a nomad's. Not as not as chill, but yeah, great server. We got one of the special, what was it called? Taxi, the puppy derm. And the pollinator. And the pollinator, yeah. It was a special drink. I didn't love it. It was nice, it was refreshing, it was a little sweet. I loved it. Haley, really loved it. Lavender bitters, lavender bitters, lavender bitters, honey, lemon, and um little fake sort of water, and these cute little fake bees. It was fun.

Um, I loved our waiter because they had my favorite red wine there, spice fruit chocolate, which I talk about a lot. And so when we were placing our order, um I told him, Oh, I kind of wanted a red wine, but 10:30 feels a little early, ha ha ha.

And he was like, We have white. And that made me laugh. Yeah, we can't be like second drink. You want more drinks? You want to drink? And then we were like, No, we're good, we have to go. And he was like, You know, you can get one to take on the road, right? And we were like, twist twist our arm. Okay. We also got the cheese board, which was great. It was really good, yeah. Really good. Um, and we did get drinks for the road. We got I got the tempting tigress, which I did not anticipate being basically an old-fashioned, so that was not my best like move for walking around a hot park, but it was a sipper. I didn't quite finish it. It got pretty watered down toward the end, but it was good. I got my spice root chocolate to go. I felt ready for it out in and then we made like probably a not great move being like, let's souvenir shop right now with the drinker drink.

It actually wasn't as expensive as I thought.

No, and my kids had specifically requested Animal Kingdom souvenirs, so um so we got some stuff there, so that was good. Yeah, and now we're headed out. Haley's headed back to the hotel. Yes. I'm going to Magic Kingdom on a reconnaissance mission for a couple souvenirs. And then I'm gonna meet you back at the hotel for a break.

Hooray! All right, we'll check in later. Alright, what time is it, Haley? It is uh 204. And I just want to pat ourselves on the back for taking a proper midday break. We did, we did a good job. We did it. When was the last time we checked in? We were leaving Animal Kingdom, so you were heading back here, and I was heading to Magic Kingdom. I came back here, I pivoted a little because I decided I was actually still a little snacky, so I got a kid's chicken tenders at the food court and ate it FaceTimed home, and then I went up to the rim, put my feet up for maybe a half hour, um, and then I went down to the pool where I met Danielle maybe 15 minutes later. Yeah, I went to Magic Kingdom, I was super efficient. I zipped right into the Emporium, I bought my Christmas ornament and had it shipped to the house. Um, so that if it breaks, it's not my responsibility. Um and then I basically made a beeline for Memento Mori, where I had picked out a couple things for my kids and a t-shirt for me that I really wanted, which is very unlike me. Um, it's like very oversized, so I'm gonna make it into a dress. Um, and then uh headed right back out. I didn't get on anything, I just headed right back out for the bus, which is very far from the entrance um back to the hotel and stopped at the food court. I had noticed that they had a chili cheese hot dog on the menu, but I wanted chili cheese fries, so I asked if they could put the chili cheese on the fries instead, and they could, and it was only eight dollars. It was wonderful, it totally hit the spot. And Haley thought housekeeping was headed into our room, so she got ready super quick and grabbed my stuff too, and so we were um both able to meet up down the pool, had a snack, she grabbed a couple of chairs that had a little bit of shade, and uh it worked out perfectly, and then we yeah, I think there's not a lot of shade in there.

There really isn't, but I lucked out I found two little things together, which was great.

Yeah, and then we kind of ate in our little postage stamp of shade. Yes, and then um she had grabbed my stuff from the room for the pool. So I went. Um, the only bathroom near the pool is in the lobby, which is kind of a pain. But so I went into the lobby bathroom and changed real quick, and we got to take a quick dip. It was lovely. It was lovely. It was a little chilly, but it was like perfect. It was yeah, just enough to be refreshing.

Oh my god, I'm relaxed and refreshed and ready to roll. Um, we were probably in for like half an hour, yeah. Not like super long, and then we just dashed back to the room. I called down to ask for more coffee cups because we need more for the room for tomorrow. And we're gonna need some coffee. And uh yeah, we got dressed again, and now we're just waiting for the bus to Epcot. So the plan is guardians first. Yes. Um, we are gonna try to stay out of the sun as much as possible until it goes down. It's really, really hot in the sun and it's kind of kryptonite for me. Um, so we are gonna do guardians, and then I think we have a Geo82 right after. Yes, we do. And then we're hoping for a La Cava Los C uh what's it called? Lacava deltaquila. Well, Lacava, but then what's the ride? Oh, I'll caballeros caballeros? I don't know. Something like that. We're hoping to maybe do that while we're over there. Um we've got a Viennapoly. We're just we're just feeling the vibes and tracking and easy. Taking it easy and then dinner at Via Napoli and then bedtime. Early bed. Yeah, we gotta swing by the food court on the way home. They didn't have runners packs out today after the 10K, but that's fine with me because we're going to we don't want the banana. No, I just got a bagel and bagel and orange juice. I already have a protein bar back at the room, and I'd probably get some hard-boiled eggs for protein and call it a day. So that's the plan. We'll see what happens. You never know what we're gonna do. TBD. TBD, stay tuned. Heyley, where are we? We are just leaving Mexico and we are hustling to Italy for our dinner, which we are late for. Hustling feels like an aggressive use of the word. We should be hustling. We're kind of meandering a little bit. Um it is 7.24. We got to Epcot pretty easily. We waited a little bit for a bus, but we had a bench in the shade and it was fine.

It really has. Guardians, we had Discord Inferno first row. First row, very fun. So now we want to do back row for our last row of tomorrow. Yeah. Um and uh we got after that we went right over to Gio 82. Yep, 82. I always think 85 because that's your birthday. Not to give away your age, I'm sorry.

Which is not me. Um, we uh what did you get? You got the peach thing again.

The peach truck, which wasn't actually as good as last time. Yeah, and then I had the brown butter old-fashioned, which was also not quite as good as last time, but still really. Still really good.

It just wasn't as balanced, it was a little less smooth, I felt, than last time. I got the tequila one. It was okay. I didn't love it, it was fine. But we split the crab cake. Crab cake amazing, really, really good. Loved that. Had I love the caviar, the vinaigrette underneath was really good. So yeah, that was great.

Um, and then we what did we do from there? We walked over to Mexico and we didn't find a line for La Cava.

We did. Uh there was a nice lady in front of us we were chatting with, so that was fun, and then we just popped in there for one drink and some chips, and queso, talk to some funny people. Yeah, and it was getting rowdy in there. It's the sun is still up, and it seems kind of messy out here. I know. I think because it's a Saturday and festival season, I think.

Yeah, I think there'll be a lot of locals here at a party.

That will do it. Um because it's definitely a little sloppier than you're you'd expect at this time of seven o'clock at night. Yeah. Um but that's okay. It's okay. So we're gonna see if Dianapoly takes mercy on us. If they don't, that's fine. Yeah, we're it just gonna be 20, 25 minutes late. Yeah, it just took longer to get through the line, and we would have left, but right as we would have left, they were like, Oh yeah, we have a standing room spot and we missed it last time. So we just decided to do it. So we'll see what happens. Either way is fine, and then we're kind of winding it down because uh it's time, it's gonna come real quick. It seriously is. So we'll uh we'll check in before bed. Alright, it's almost nine o'clock. It's almost bedtime, very much almost bedtime. We did get seated at Bianapoli. They did not even blank and I really hear the mileage may vary, but they were like, oh, you're half hour late at the time. And honestly, there were no reservations available, or I would have modified it earlier, but um, there were plenty of tables available, so uh, you know, again, I don't know if they hold some back for walk-ups or what, but it was fine. We probably did the carbo loading wrong and we got a pizza. We had a really good pizza, it was really good, and we have some leftovers in a very tiny box. Yes. Um, but yeah, it was great. Um and now we're just walking back. We decided to walk to the beach club to get a minivan just to minimize the walking. So we're just rolling up there right now. I think did you already order one? I did, yeah. Yeah, so it should be here momentarily. And our goal is Hayley's gonna head right back to the room. I have to swing through the food court to get my food for the morning. We're setting up our clothes and we're going to bed. Call it, call it a night. Calling it a night. So really fun day, still more than we meant to do, but less than we could have done. Yes. And uh yeah, tomorrow our plan is to just check out the vibe, see what the scene is like, and we're just gonna do it until it isn't fun anymore. Yeah. And that's all there is to it. So we'll check in in like a few hours, I guess. Good night.
