The Remembrance Codes

Unweaving Karma: The Soul’s Path to Memory and Sovereignty

Susan Sutherland

Karma isn’t punishment- it’s the soul’s invitation to remember. In this episode of The Remembrance Codes, we unravel the deep distortions around karma that have kept so many bound in guilt, shame, and cycles of striving.

Karma is not cosmic debt collection. It’s the echo of unintegrated experience, the subtle signal that there’s something your soul still longs to witness, feel, or choose differently.

We explore how true karmic completion rarely comes through penance - and more often arrives through compassion, embodiment, and sovereign choice. You'll meet three soul types in relation to karma:

  • Karmic Cycle Souls still learning through contrast
  • Arc Closers completing ancient storylines
  • Clear Flame Carriers serving beyond karmic weight

This episode also breaks down five distinct types of karma:

  1. Personal Karma (your soul’s unique learning arc)
  2. Ancestral Karma (inherited imprints across bloodline and soul line)
  3. Collective Karma (humanity’s shared wounds)
  4. Planetary Karma (our relationship with Gaia)
  5. False or Synthetic Karma (programmed guilt that was never yours to carry)

If you've felt trapped in loops that don’t seem to be yours… they may not be. We’ll walk together through the difference between true karmic lessons and false contracts, with tools to dissolve what no longer belongs in your field.

This is a transmission for those ready to step off the wheel and into the freedom of soul alignment.
Because real remembrance doesn’t bind - it liberates.

Speaker 1:

Welcome to the Remembrance Codes. Today we are unweaving the distortion around karma, not to study it as a concept, but to free ourselves from the ways we have been misled. Karma has been misunderstood. It has been presented as punishment, as cosmic scorekeeping, as spiritual debt owed to higher authority. But karma in its true form is none of these. So this episode is not about self-blame. It's about soul freedom. Freedom. It's about seeing where we are still walking in loops and where we are being asked to get off the wheel, because karma isn't here to punish you. It's here to reveal where you've forgotten who you are. So let's start by redefining what karma really is.

Speaker 1:

Karma is the echo of unintegrated experience. It is the soul's way of seeking balance, not as punishment but as remembrance. When we act out of alignment with truth, when we betray our own knowing, a distortion is created, and that is not a moral judgment, it is an energetic imprint, and that distortion seeks completion, and so the soul invites itself into similar or echoing experiences until a new choice is made. It's not always about returning to the same exact situation or choosing differently as the same archetype. Sometimes the soul completes the loop by experiencing the other side of the polarity. It's not punishment, not as retribution, but to develop empathy and humility and embodied compassion. Or a soul who once silenced others, may choose a life where their voice is ignored or dismissed to learn the ache of suppression and the sacredness of being heard. This is what makes karma a teacher and not a jailer. It is not saying you must suffer for what you did. It is just saying you didn't understand yet. So let's see it from another angle. Y'all I've told you about the math problem, and if you present it in a horizontal line, I can't do it. I need to see it in another angle. Y'all I've told you about the math problem, and if you present it in a horizontal line, I can't do it. I need to see it in another way. It needs to be presented to me vertically.

Speaker 1:

Your soul asks for opportunities to see things in a new way, so that it can understand love from from every possible vantage point. So is it always about choosing differently? No, but sometimes it is. Karma dissolves the moment. You make a different choice with awareness. But sometimes balance comes from experiencing contrast, not action. This is especially true with karmas around power or justice, expression and freedom, which often require multi-life weaving. But karma is not a weapon. It's not sin, it's not God's wrath. It's simply the soul asking will you choose love this time? So let's release the idea that karma is instant retribution or that something bad happening means you did something wrong, because some experiences are echoes of the collective and not personal wrongdoing.

Speaker 1:

Not every soul is here to clear karma. So let's explore soul-inspired beings and the three main ways that they are experiencing the karmic relationship. First, you have karmic cycle souls. These are the ones who are still learning. Through contrast. Their journey is still shaped by cause and effect. They are repeating loops until they choose to heal, to forgive and to remember. And then you have art closers. These are older souls. They've carried karmic weight through many lifetimes and this life is about completion. They are given opportunities to act differently, to complete the cycle through integrity and awareness. And then the third group are the clear flame carriers, and these souls are here in service. They are not creating karma because they walk in full remembrance. They are the midwives of a new paradigm, anchoring light rather than seeking balance. Now this is really important.

Speaker 1:

Before we go on, I want to say something, because this is where distortion creeps in. Not everyone who looks awake is beyond karma, and not everyone who seems unawakened is stuck in a karmic cycle. We have been taught to equate spiritual language with spiritual maturity, to assume that a person who channels is somehow more evolved than a person who builds houses. But that's not how soul paths work. Some of the oldest, clearest souls on this earth are quietly serving the light by anchoring, steadiness, loyalty and presence. They may never use words like frequency or downloads, they may never pick up a crystal or quote a sacred text, but their beingness is clean, their integrity is whole. So they are not here to teach. They are here to hold, to stabilize, to protect, to listen and to love. Well, so just because someone isn't spiritual in the sense you know, doesn't mean that they are karmically entangled. And some souls, like my husband, are not awakening in the flashy what we know of awakening, but they're also not looping, awakening in the flashy what we know of awakening, but they're also not looping. They've already lived these dramatic timelines of fire and collapse. They're here now, nearing the completion of the arc, through steadiness, through showing up, through devotion. Some, like Mark, for example.

Speaker 1:

There is a subtle tether remaining, not from wrongdoing but from unconscious living. He is choosing actions from goodness and integrity and logic and love in a human sense rather than soul knowing. But he isn't generating distortion and accruing karma. His choices are gentle and grounded and relational. So, while he may not look deeply spiritual, his service is unseen and significant. Some came to be flame bearers and some came not to be the flame but to to shield it from the wind. So as you think about these groupings and start running people through your mind, don't look at someone's vocabulary or their profession to throw them into a bucket. Look at their energy. Do they generate distortion or do they live in quiet alignment? Regardless of whether it looks spiritual, the invitation is to discern with love and not labels or mind your business. You don't need to know. I just want you to know that everybody is experiencing relationship with karma very differently. It is not a one size fits all experience. So let's talk about the types of karma, because there are many different expressions and here are the main ones.

Speaker 1:

Number one personal karma. This karma is tied to your own past thoughts, your choices, your actions across lifetimes, and this is your soul's own echo. It travels with us not just across lifetimes on the earth, but across realms and dimensions and incarnational experiences all over. So you're not just working through what happened in a past human life. You are also sometimes working through what happened when you were a priestess on a starship or a frequency keeper in a crystalline dimension or a being of sound in a place that never knew physical form. Karma is not Earth's law. It is the soul's mechanism of memory. So when we say personal karma, we mean the total thread of your soul's journey, wherever that has unfolded. Earth is simply the place where much of it becomes very visible, because here contrast is thick, lessons are embodied and choices ripple fast. The earth offers the mirror of our knowing.

Speaker 1:

So the second type of karma is ancestral karma and it is passed through your bloodline or your soul lineage, often felt as inherited patterns or family burdens. Your bloodline ancestry is your earth-based genetic or biological lineage. It is your parents and your grandparents and beyond. This karma lives in the body. It is in the DNA, in the nervous system, in the inherited emotional responses that are often unconscious. This can include patterns like generational trauma or silence, familial beliefs around worth, power, gender or survival, unspoken grief, shame or displacement. This is the karma that lives in the bones. This is the karma that lives in the bones. You didn't create it, but you may have agreed to carry it or clear it through this family that you chose to incarnate into. Your soul lineage is your cosmic inheritance. These lineages you carry as so beyond Earth. This may include priestess lineages, magdalene, isis, avalon, star lineages like Pleiadian, arcturian, andromedon, etc. The list goes on and on. This includes planetary service orders, the emerald order, blue ray or Elohim expressions.

Speaker 1:

This karma may not show up as direct trauma, but is feeling silenced, in truth speaking, having a fear of being seen or persecuted, of being seen or persecuted, repeating exile or fall from grace or betrayal patterns, and these are not random. They are soul memories surfacing through the earth plane. This is the karma that lives in your frequency and you are not here to fix these lineages. You are here to remember their purity and walk their codes cleanly. In this remembrance, one of your ancestral karmas is carried in your name and the other in your flame.

Speaker 1:

The next kind of karma is collective karma. You guys, this is held in the human field and this is earth-based. Collective karma is the shared imprint of humanity's choices, accumulated over thousands of years of living in separation and fear and distortion and dominance. It belongs not to one person or a soul group, but to the collective energetic field of Earth's inhabitants. Ooh y'all, there is trauma of colonization, patriarchy, gender imbalance, religious persecution, genocides, enslavement, exile, distortion of power, sexuality and truth. All of those are karmic patterns that ripple through entire cultures, nations, genders or timelines. No one person calls them, but all of us in some way have walked through the debris. It's important to note that, while it is experienced on earth, many of the distortions that seeded collective karma were introduced by beings from other star systems who fell into distortion, either false light or AI inversion or misuse of free will. It was introduced by interdimensional interface or manipulation of human DNA or perception. Soul groups who came here and, in forgetting their origin, enacted patterns of fear or control. So, while it wasn't born here, it was invited, enacted and entrenched here until we realize we can choose something else.

Speaker 1:

The next kind of karma is planetary karma. Collective karma is the residue of how we've treated one another, and planetary karma is the wound left by forgetting that the earth is holy, wound left by forgetting that the earth is holy. Gaia is not a passive backdrop. She is a sentient planetary intelligence voluntarily holding space for the evolutions of many soul groups. And when she is dishonored, those imprints don't just affect the land. They ripple through the frequency field, through the weather, the water. Sacrifice of distortion are allowed when there is desecration of sacred sites, when gridlines were hijacked for power and inversion. Collective is human to human and planetary is human to earth. Collective is human to human and planetary is human to earth. Collective is societal systems and planetary lives in the land. Collective is shaped by beliefs and trauma and oppression, and planetary with extraction and destruction and dishonoring. Planetary karma is healed when we return to right relationship with the earth through ceremony and land blessing, walking barefoot with reverence, planting, nourishing and listening to the earth, honoring sacred sites not just as tourist spots but as living offerings, when we live in harmony with her, in her rhythms, rather than trying to override them. You don't need to save the earth, but you need to remember that she is alive.

Speaker 1:

The last karma type we are going to talk about is the false or the synthetic karma, and this is karma that was never yours but was programmed into the field. This form of karma is not true soul memory. It is imposed guilt or shame or obligations. That is crafted by systems or beings that benefit from keeping you small or silent or bound. These are illusions, programs, not soul truth.

Speaker 1:

It is often distortion disguised as responsibility. It arises in those who grew up in religious structures who taught you that you are a sinner and those who were conditioned by family or society to suppress self for good of others. It can appear in those who carry light and remembrance and were targeted by fear-based systems and those told to fear their own power, sexuality, voice or sovereignty. This is not karmic learning. This is programmed distortion. So where does it come from? It is seeded by religious constructs, particularly the teachings of original sin, divine punishment and needing redemption. But it's not just old religious distortion. There is new age distortion too Spiritual, bypassing over responsibility, teachings that everything is a mirror. It also comes from interdimensional interference, beings posing as light who bind souls in guilt contracts, and from ancestral control dynamics passed as duty. You owe us or don't outshine us, or sacrifice as love. All are distortions that carry like burdens and you have likely encountered some of this in your healing journey Patterns that sound like I must have done something wrong in my past.

Speaker 1:

I need to stay small to stay safe. If I'm suffering, I must deserve it. Or I'm here to take on the pain of others, or I must learn from everything. Nope, false karma feels heavy, without clarity, shame, laced without clear origin, tied to worthiness and self-punishment, repetitive, with no discernible lesson, and like something is pressing down on you instead of rising from within. It may also feel like you're paying for something you can't name, that you need to be pleasing to avoid consequence, or you have taken on suffering as some sort of spiritual nobility. But here is the thing you don't have to learn through any of this. You have to just recognize it as a lie. Naming it breaks the spell. Revoke the contract. You can say out loud I revoke all vows, bindings or guilt that were placed upon me in distortion. I return to my original soul, freedom in alignment with what is truly mine. Y'all reclaim your sovereignty.

Speaker 1:

False karma cannot hold where truth is embodied. It's important to be able to discern what kind of karma you are experiencing, or if it is false karma, because how you manage it is differently. A karmic loop feels personal, there's a storyline, there's a sense of repetition and it's often emotionally charged. It might be filled with guilt or grief, but there is a clear invitation to choose. In contrast, collective transmutation feels bigger than you and there's no story, only sensation. There's waves of emotion or energy passing through, but they don't belong to you. And false karma doesn't have choice. It doesn't lead to empowerment. It provides the guilt and grief without the invitation to move through it. So ask yourself is this mine? Am I being invited to act differently or simply to hold the energy without identifying with it?

Speaker 1:

Karma is not cleared by force. It is dissolved by truth and the steps are simple. Number one awareness. See the loop. Two take responsibility. Own your role without self-judgment. You came to experience contrast, to learn through so many different experiences. Three choice Make a new decision anchored in love. Four release Through ritual and forgiveness, or simply saying I won't do that again. You release the cycle. If you've been carrying karmic weight, know that you are allowed to lay it down. Ask yourself what story am I still repeating? What truth am I ready to live instead? You are not broken and you are not bound. You are simply remembering. If you have been carrying the burden of false karma, of false karma, break the contract and choose to know your wholeness. May this remembrance be your release and may you walk forward, not in loops, but in light. Thank you for remembering. I'll see you next week.
