Finances are often the source of conflict within a marriage. No, we are not debt free nor do we feel qualified to provide financial advice. This is a discussion about what we have learned during our marriage as it pertains to money and finances. Lord willing, we will be out of debt one day and we are taking steps towards that goal.

Keep your life  free from the love of money, and  be content with what you have, for he has said,  “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

For the love of money is a root of  all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

Malachi 3:8-10 ESV
8  Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me.  But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’  In your tithes and contributions. 9   You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you. 10   Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.

Deuteronomy 8:18 ESV
You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth,  that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
