Song: "When You're Alone" By JustKhi Ft. Michael Knight (ON ALL MAJOR PLATFORMS)
What it do, what it is, how you feel, y'all now. Tune in between random and real it's your boy Just Car.
SPEAKER_02And it's your girl TJ.
SPEAKER_07We back with another episode, man.
SPEAKER_03Back with another one.
SPEAKER_07Go ahead, hit your little back with another one.
SPEAKER_03Uh-uh. Back with another one.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, man. Glad to be back, man. Glad to be back.
SPEAKER_03It's summertime. Summer, summer, summer time. Hey, hey. Time to sit back and unwind. Time to sit back and unlock going on since the last time we seen y'all, bro.
SPEAKER_07Somebody had a birthday.
SPEAKER_03Y'all, it was my birthday. If y'all do not know, I share a birthday with the infamous, famous, legendary Tupac. Tupac. I don't know what you was about to say. But y'all, me and Tupac had the same birthday. And I probably have talked about this on the pod before, but I just feel like ever since I was like really, really young girl, I loved Tupac. And I always kind of felt like I was an incarnation of him.
SPEAKER_07So you think you were reincarnated and you think you're Tupac now?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Or like I don't know. I just felt like I met him before.
SPEAKER_07Okay.
SPEAKER_03And maybe it's just like us both being Geminis and both being born on the same day. And I just feel like I understand him so well. How like how dynamic of a person he was. And even like when you listen to interviews or people talk about Tupac, like he had, he was he couldn't be put in a box. Like he was a great reminder of how like people are not just like we're we're not just this one exact way all the time. Like he he had definitely many, many sides to him. And you you didn't know what you know what Pac you was gonna get that day.
SPEAKER_07I mean, it's probably a lot of y'all like that. Y'all should you should probably look online to see like if there's other people that also feel like Tupac, and maybe y'all can start like a little club and meet like every Thursday and Friday at some point.
SPEAKER_02Bruh. Bruh, you really tried to play me on the pod, bro.
SPEAKER_07What you do for your what you do for your birthday?
SPEAKER_03Oh my goodness, guys. I cannot wait to tell you guys. So for my birthday, my man, my man, my man, my man, my man, my man. That's my man. My man, my man, my man, my man, my man. That's my man. My man took me to Disney World, y'all. And Disney World is exactly what it says it is. Like, it's it's a magical place. Like, I cannot lie. And so I guess I understand why so many families or people like go back to Disney World, but then at the same time, I'm like, oh, y'all got bread. Because you taking the whole family, you got a family of five and six, and y'all all going to Disney World. Y'all got money. Because Disney World is not cheap.
SPEAKER_06It ain't, though.
SPEAKER_03But it was magical. It was a great time. I feel like it was even better, like as an adult, as adults.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um, we saw a lot of you know families out there, of course, because it's summertime, it's June. But like, you know, the parents got y'all gotta focus on the kids, make sure the kids is having fun, you know, and so it was just nice kind of going without having any any children because it's just like we can do whatever the hell we want. We don't gotta worry about the tantrums, we don't gotta worry about you know, them getting tied in the sun, going back for the naps. Like, no, we out here getting on all the rods that we wanted to get on and turning up, and we had, you know, a little bit more change in our pocket to be able to take the you know, get the lightning lengths.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, so not the one from Magic Made. Magic Kingdom, that don't was like 400. Yeah, that's it's it's it's worth it's worth it. For Animal Kingdom, it was worth it, bro. I can't lie. It was like what 10 minutes every every line that we was waiting on. So it was worth it for for Animal Kingdom for sure. Yeah, I had a good time.
SPEAKER_03I had a great time.
SPEAKER_07We definitely gotta go back. Couldn't do it, couldn't do everything.
SPEAKER_03We didn't even go to all the parks, y'all. We only went to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. So we still need to visit Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Y'all tell us which Disney park y'all like the most, which one, you know, like I like I do like food, but like I also like rides. Like I'm I'm there for some good rides. So I don't want to go to a park that's just food.
SPEAKER_07It was cool to to resort hop too. To to like go to different resorts and try their different restaurants. That bar was cool. I forgot the name. I think it's called like Trader Sam's. Yes, Trader Sam's. I think that's what I think that's might be what it's called. But yeah, that was lit too. I think that was at the Polynesian.
SPEAKER_03Yes, yes, I agree. Bar, like hopping, hotel hopping was really fun because all the dis all of the Disney resorts have like their own different theme. So it's kind of like nice to check out their, you know, what that hotel has to offer. I kind of feel like I was a little spoiled in that way because now I feel like if I go back to Disney, I want to stay at a resort. Like I don't want to stay off Disney.
SPEAKER_07Oh, yeah, it was just convenient too. Everything was like like up the road, and of course, like to get to the park. They had the buses there to take you right to the park, so it was real convenient.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, man, y'all. That was my first time going to Disney. If you haven't been to Disney, I think you should just go, even if you're not like really a Disney fan, just go because I feel like it was one of those things to cost off my bucket list for sure. For sure.
SPEAKER_04It was lit for sure. It was lit for sure.
SPEAKER_03So it was so much fun. And now we're in July, which is crazy.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah, yeah. Time flying. We already more than halfway through the year.
SPEAKER_03More than halfway through the year. Like, should we even start thinking about like the damn holidays? They about to come up.
unknownI know.
SPEAKER_03I just feel like the holidays really come back to back when it comes to like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas. Like, they that time of the year just flies by.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. I'm ready for fall, but I can't lie. This heat.
SPEAKER_03I love the heat.
SPEAKER_01I love the heat.
SPEAKER_07I'm straight on that. And tell you this. We skipping this. What's that song?
SPEAKER_01We should have a cookout.
SPEAKER_07Me up when July ends. Change that shit to the next one.
SPEAKER_03That's not actually what he said.
SPEAKER_07He said September, we changing that shit to we should have a cookout.
SPEAKER_03Where are all the cookouts at? What's wrong with our generation? Like, we not having cookouts like a cookout.
SPEAKER_07Remember, we love because it was true, but that was a little different.
SPEAKER_03That one.
SPEAKER_07What you mean?
SPEAKER_03That wasn't no cookout, bro. What type of cookout is?
SPEAKER_07You're talking about a freak nick. That's what she's talking about.
SPEAKER_03Bro, I'm not talking about no freak nick. What do I look like going to a freak?
SPEAKER_07What type of cook are you talking about?
SPEAKER_03What type of cookout you? What you know about freak nicks, bro?
SPEAKER_07I seen a documentary.
SPEAKER_03Oh, you seen the documentary? Huh?
SPEAKER_07I seen all the aunties and uncles of today.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_07And then that be the same generation trying to get on the youngest little bitch. Y'all was Yens. Y'all claiming all this Y-N stuff. Trying to call these young kings Yens when they was acting like the same young kings today.
SPEAKER_03Nah, you didn't. They was not that young. All right, bro. When I bring up cookouts, I ain't talking about no freaking. I don't know why you brought up freaking.
SPEAKER_07Maybe it wasn't freaking. I can't remember, bro.
SPEAKER_03Like, what in the world? Back in the day, all of our aunties and uncles, they used to have cookouts. We at the age now that we gotta have the cookouts. Like, where's the cookouts this summer? I ain't been in nobody hosting no cookouts. That was a family reunion. There ain't no cookout. I need a I need a just a random cookout on a Thursday. What you talking about, bro?
SPEAKER_07A random cookout on a Thursday. Throw one, throw a cookout.
SPEAKER_03Were you gonna get on the grill?
SPEAKER_07I mean, it can be some other people. I never cooked for a whole bunch of people.
SPEAKER_03Uh it don't even matter. Just imagine that it's just me and you.
SPEAKER_07Just imagine.
SPEAKER_03And just make extra chicken.
SPEAKER_07Okay.
SPEAKER_03For me and you. This extra chicken, bro. We about to have a cookout. Should we have a cookout? What happened to us? Like, why don't we cook for each other no more? Like, I always saw like the movies where like the families they be inviting their kids, like friends, to like, oh, come over for dinner. Tell your friends they can come for dinner on Thursday. I'm meeting I'm making meatloaf. Your friends can come over and then the friends come over, or you have like a new co-profession job. No, on TV. They be doing it on TV. But I feel like they used to do that in the back of the day. Like, you know.
SPEAKER_07Of course they're gonna do this on the on the show Friends if it's on Twitter.
SPEAKER_03Why do we like why don't people invite like others for dinner anymore? Is that like a thing? Are you like inviting your friends for dinner?
SPEAKER_07I mean, I think people people might do it. Um probably not this generation, but people do it, but maybe not on a weekday though.
SPEAKER_03Okay, but how many of you any of our friends just invited us for uh for just a random dinner just because they they making dinner and they like, oh let's let's invite the Jones family. That part. Why why people don't do that? We need to start feeding our community. What happened to you know, feeding your community and helping friends out? Like that's why we in the situation that we in with the economy right now, we need to be sharing dinners.
SPEAKER_07You got a good point. You got a good point. Sharing dinners, sharing money, you know.
SPEAKER_03I don't know about money.
SPEAKER_02I thought he was about to say sharing partners. That's what we're doing, that's all we doing these days is sharing partners.
SPEAKER_07That's it, swing, swing, swinging.
SPEAKER_00When I say we, I don't mean me. Swing, swing, swing.
SPEAKER_07Go out swinging.
SPEAKER_03I'm just like, listen, that's how we can solve, you know, you know, saving, saving some of our funds. It's like inviting your friends to dinner, invite your family to dinner. Like everybody, well, like what happened today? I don't know if that's just on TV or that used to happen back in the day and they just switched up.
SPEAKER_07People don't cook no more, though. You know, eating out, we eat out everywhere.
SPEAKER_03People cooking, people cooking. People are cooking.
SPEAKER_05Oh my goodness, our dog is like hilarious. Shout out to the dog owners. Woohoo!
SPEAKER_03Uh but anyways, we're gonna have a we're gonna have a cookout. We're gonna invite somebody over for some dinner, and we're gonna hope that somebody he you cook, you cooking something. I'll make a little dessert, I'll make a little cookie.
SPEAKER_07You cooking something.
SPEAKER_03Uh something. I'll bake something.
SPEAKER_07Well, you something's getting cooked.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I'll bake and you cook.
SPEAKER_07I'll make I'll make dessert. All the sides can get cooked from the group.
SPEAKER_03I will cook the sides in a dessert.
SPEAKER_07Okay.
SPEAKER_03Are we gonna have like a random cookout?
SPEAKER_07Yeah, we have it tomorrow.
SPEAKER_03You're not having no random cookout on a Monday. Ain't nobody coming on a Monday.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, what it is, man. Party on a Monday.
SPEAKER_03On the Tuesday, that'd be a better day. Party on the Monday. Going up on a Tuesday.
SPEAKER_07That's already taken. People already did that. Now we're going up on Monday.
SPEAKER_03Taco Tuesday. Let's do Taco Tuesday and invite friends. Oh, we can just have taco.
SPEAKER_07Like a little taco bar we can order from Sabor or something. Exactly.
SPEAKER_03But see, listen, if we do this, then the friends gotta y'all gotta do one too. That's how we like help each other out. It ain't just like come to our house. You know, y'all invite us.
SPEAKER_07So maybe on Monday, somebody can do meatball Monday. Then we got Taco Tuesday, then for Wednesday, we got what?
SPEAKER_03Wednesday. Um, wind down Wednesday.
SPEAKER_07Window Wednesday, then Thursday, Thursdays, and then fries, fried Fridays. So somebody's gonna have a little fry, fish fry or something.
SPEAKER_03Alright, let's do this.
SPEAKER_07Do it. You know what I mean? Let us know in the comments if you're down.
SPEAKER_03Let us know in the comments. You're not doing that with no random people.
SPEAKER_07That's how you build a community.
SPEAKER_03Move on. Move on.
SPEAKER_07Damn, that's how you build a community. But um, I know we've been watching a lot lately before we get into, you know, mean with which I know you would really where you really want to go. We guess we can start off with like some of the things you've been watching, you know. We want to hear what what TJ's movie reviews is like. So let's go give it up for TJ's movie reviews real quick.
SPEAKER_03I I kind of like that, but I didn't at the same time. So we're gonna have to we're gonna have to finesse that one. But it was cute, but we're gonna finesse it and make it better for the next time. Alright, y'all. So y'all know I love movies. Tuesdays, AMC, discount movies. If you didn't know, now you know I went ahead and told you. So if you want to go to the movies and you want to get a little discount, you don't want to spend how much it, you know, how much it how much a ticket these days. Like damn near $20 at this point.
SPEAKER_07No, thirty forty, thirty-six, forty, forty. $40 for a regular ticket, yeah. Just about.
SPEAKER_03It's not $40 for one ticket. I'm talking about one ticket, damn near $20.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah, one ticket by a lot.
SPEAKER_03But you go to the movies on Tuesday, you're gonna get a discounted ticket. It ain't gonna be $20. You and another person can probably get a movie just for $20.
SPEAKER_07Just make sure you're an AMC stub member and you can be a stud member for free. And AMC is not promoting us.
SPEAKER_03No, they're not, but they should. They should. Anyways, y'all, this past week we went to the movies and we saw The Furious. The Furious was such a great movie. Okay, so The Furious is about this man who has a first off, he's a mute man, um, and he has a daughter, and his daughter is staying with him for the summer, I believe, or for a short time. And during this time, his daughter is abducted by aliens. Don't listen to him. His daughter is abducted by this gang who is associated with human trafficking, and so this man goes on this wild, wild, wild adventure to take back his daughter. He knows, um, I want to say the correct it's not karate.
SPEAKER_07But kung fu?
SPEAKER_03We say kung fu.
SPEAKER_07I think it's like a kung fu movie, I would say.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so he knows kung fu, and he is using martial arts, but I guess that's another way to call it. He uses martial arts and he's just whooping everyone's ass the entire time. But yo, when I tell you it's so freaking good, like from the very beginning, you're gonna be hooked. You're gonna be hooked from the very beginning, and it non-stop fighting to the point that there were so many scenes that I felt like they was fighting for damn near like 20 20 minutes.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I've never seen somebody get their ass with a bicycle.
SPEAKER_03Bruh, he was a freaking beast. The movie was so extremely good, and I'm not even a huge action fan, guys, because I feel like a lot of action movies are just like guns, pow pow pow, gun, gun, gun, and they be lacking like the story, like they lack the just why why is this all of this important? Like, draw me in, make me actually attached to the character. But I feel like this movie was a 10 out of 10. The story was great, the action was great, the fighting was great, like they know what they're doing. So if you haven't seen The Furious, I definitely recommend you go, you know, watch the movie, go see it in the theaters, or if it's streaming somewhere, go see it. 10 out of 10 movie.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, it's like that. I can't lie. I think I gave it a 10 too. And it's it's gory for the folks that like like that gore and that gruesomeness and just the it's just everything we're looking for.
SPEAKER_03Yes, yes, yes, it's gory, but it also has like a sense of like uh it has humor in it as well.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, you guys got some comedic relief for that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it definitely has comedic relief. So I feel like anyone can watch the movie, like it's not too much. Um, and it was just uh it's a movie that more people should be talking about. So go watch The Furious now. 10 out of 10. You gotta go see it if you love action movies. But even if you don't love action movies, I say try it.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I watched uh the movie um Undertone, very underwoman. Don't know how they got all these, I mean, you know, great, you know, reviews, you know, I guess into each own, but it wasn't for me, dog. It was very boring. So if you into just you know scary noise, then definitely watch that movie. You know, but if if if you actually you know a real true horror fan, I don't I don't know, it doesn't do anything for me.
SPEAKER_05Just scary noise.
SPEAKER_07That's all it gave. Like maybe, maybe if I listened to it like um like I would listen to like a podcast with headphones on, maybe it would have been a little bit different, but you know, it it just wasn't interesting. It was very boring. Um but you know, to each his own. I I get what they were trying to do with it.
SPEAKER_03What would what would you rate it one out of ten?
SPEAKER_07Damn, maybe like a two.
SPEAKER_03Really?
SPEAKER_07Yeah. It's pretty bad.
SPEAKER_03A two?
SPEAKER_07It's not the the acting wasn't good though. Like I have nothing bad to say about the actor. It was just it's boring. Like it's just boring. Like if you're watching it to be like a scary, you know, movies, it wasn't that. It almost gave like it just gave like a like it was supposed to be a scary podcast. That's what it gave. So if I'm rating it as a movie, you know, I'm gonna give it a two. But for a horror podcast, it's pretty good. Nah, for sure. If it's a horror podcast.
SPEAKER_03Damn. And then the podcast though.
SPEAKER_07Nah, it's basically it's based on a podcast. So like basically the two people that's in the movie. It's only one person in it for real. I mean, her and her mom. Her mom is like bed rest, so she doesn't have like any words or anything. But um, but it's one girl and she has another partner on the podcast. You never see him, he's just on the other line, and they do like the they tell these horror stories that they get from their fans, and apparently it's supposed to be true. And um, they were talking about this one situation, and it just built up and then actually opened up a door or portal, and you know, of course, the demonic stuff. But I mean, even when that happened, it's just like okay, it's just boring. It just wasn't it just wasn't exciting. Yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_03No, you know, you know, because you watched it.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, it wasn't wasn't very good. But um, trying to think what if we saw anything else.
SPEAKER_03Last movie. Last movie I want to bring up is scare movie.
SPEAKER_07Um so you are gonna talk about it.
SPEAKER_03I just I just want to say that with with scare movie, uh I saw a lot of reviews, negative reviews. I mean, I feel like Rotten Tomatoes got like scare movie for like a 20 something.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I think so.
SPEAKER_03So it's definitely, and on TikTok, I saw a lot of creators say, like, they said, Oh, the whole theater wasn't even laughing, it was trash, da da da da da. I enjoy scare movie.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I thought it was funny.
SPEAKER_03I thought it was funny, I thought it was similar to all the other movies in a sense. I will say one creator mentioned that like the beginning was pretty funny, and they felt like later on to the end, it kind of just go went, it kind of seemed like they was just having a lot of fun that they kind of like fell off on the story a little bit and just was having fun.
SPEAKER_07I could see that I could see that I can see that because like I it didn't really make sense like how how the the the daughters and they were the bad people, it just didn't really make any sense to me. And then they were cool at the end.
SPEAKER_03I don't know, yeah, and then it was just like a lot of references of like them having multiple scary movies and how they're reunited and how you know the old crew is you know the best crew, so it was it was a lot of references about the scary movie franchise, but maybe that's them passing the paton to these new folks that they introducing. Maybe I don't yes and no, I don't see them doing another scary movie without the old heads.
SPEAKER_07Really?
SPEAKER_03I don't see it.
SPEAKER_07Maybe they would play like a supporting role, not like a main character role.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, but I I can see what that creator was talking about. I feel like later on in the movie, probably like the last 30 minutes was kind of like I was like, yeah, I kind of get what you're talking about, but the movie overall was pretty decent. Yeah, I don't really it was a scary movie, yeah.
SPEAKER_07I thought it was good. I kind of uh rock with it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I laughed. So that's all I got with the movies.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. Okay now. Well, thank you for TJ's movie review.
SPEAKER_05What you watching?
SPEAKER_07Movies. All right. I I wanna say the next the next thing is probably uh I mean we've been watching this, um Love Island, you know. So for for the listeners, you know, if you want to skip this, you know, go ahead. But I mean we we we all talk about Love Island. So I don't know if you wanna if you wanna tell them what Love Island is before we already know what Love Island is Love Island is a reality show about love.
SPEAKER_03I mean it's exactly what what it's called. Love Island. It's a reality show. They put couple they put singles on an island in Fiji. In a house and say explore love. Explore. Explore. But I'm pretty sure most people have heard of Love Island because Love Island is a really big show.
SPEAKER_07Lust Island.
SPEAKER_03So where do we start?
SPEAKER_07Oh boy. That's a good question.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I don't know. Like Love Island, we haven't talked about the entire show on the podcast at all whatsoever. They're on season eight.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, it's season eight. I know. Um, well, at this point of the show, there uh was the today's the last episode. Tonight is the last episode. It's Sunday, so yes, it's it's over. So, you know, I uh compared to last season, I do think they did do a little bit better when it came to um having more control over the outcome, not really giving the the you know, giving America the chance to to really have as much control as they did last season, but um I feel like America still kind of dropped the ball, not gonna lie. Yeah still kind of dropped the ball, and I think Love Island is really just like a really huge social experiment. And just it just and it's it was like the same as last season. It really just shows like of course we know there's emotional differences between men and women. Of course, we're not the same, like of course not, but it just it just shows like how how certain I ain't saying it's all women, but how you know certain women lash out to a certain demographic compared to to others, you know. I it it seemed a little weird on the show. I ain't like how they was attacking the the black man. I don't like how the producers was was making it seem like you know the the black man is a bad guy and this and that, especially being the only you know 100% you know black black man at the time. So I mean, but other than that, um yeah, I think they still dropped the ball.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Casey definitely got the villain edit. Did he make mistakes in the show? For sure. Did he uh also apologize for those mistakes? For sure. Was there many people on the show who made mistakes? For sure. I don't know how or like why why they decide to give the villain edit to certain people, but I guess it's reality TV. They they need a villain, they need they I they try to make it entertaining, I'm assuming. So Casey definitely got that villain edit this this season. Um and I'm not necessarily I don't necessarily think that he deserved it, and I hope that he deserved as much hate as he's getting. Like I don't think honestly, it's a TV show. I really don't think any of these islanders deserve hate from people. Y'all not in the situation, y'all don't know these people. So sending out hate towards them, commenting hate towards them, DMing them, it's just like it's OD. Watch this as like any other movie because it's just a TV show and it's highly edited and it's highly produced, and there's a lot of story going into these shows. So like I think people do be getting attached, people get attached and they think it's real life, and it's it's it's so not not these are real people, and yes, they have real feelings, and so but for people to just like be so sensitive and crazy enough to comment is crazy. So I hope all the islanders on the island like get therapy and get a little bit of help, and I hope they all have like just a great support system that will kind of like help them through this because it's gonna be tougher now into the next season. Then it'll be a whole other cast, it'll be more people for people to pick on and talk about. And but hopefully they use all the extra they're gonna get fans. Casey has fans. Oh, yeah, they are good, they're gonna have fans, so hopefully they use their those fans and the people that they actually get love from um for a positive reason.
SPEAKER_07She's not like a politician, boy. Goodness gracious. She just gave the most political correct answer I ever heard in my life. Like, like she got some good PR dreaming or something like that.
SPEAKER_03You ain't know what you had. We ain't trying to hit all that.
SPEAKER_07We're trying to hit a real shit, bro. We trying to hit that real.
SPEAKER_03What's the real shit then? Tell us.
SPEAKER_07We trying to hear how the how the girls was uh calling all these guys out their name whenever they get their way, how they was playing that mean girl role, how they was how they was doing the double standard stuff, saying so-and-so here for that when they was doing the same thing. Like, I don't know. It's just it's just like, come on now. What we gotta we gotta put this to a stop.
SPEAKER_03I don't think the hope okay. I would not claim that any of those girls was playing a mean girl role. I think that I think that that argument that you're talking about, I think it went too far. I think everybody was talking at the same time. However, I don't think that they are mean girls. Like I don't think that they are really like mean. I think at that moment, yes, they were sticking up for their friend. But I'm not saying though.
SPEAKER_07Even the moment where so and soul came in there, it was just like I mean, she even talked about how she ain't really like have no type of connection with them. Like that's just the energy that they gave off. Like, you can I feel what you're saying.
SPEAKER_03It could have been clicky, it could have been very clicky, and maybe they weren't as open because they're thinking, like, oh, this girl's gonna take my man. I don't know. But we also so also mentioned that she had many conversations with Melanie that was not edited, that was not put into you know the show, and so we don't know how much these people actually talked, yeah, and that could be part of the edit. So for Aftersung, T T um, well, first off, the whole song Aftersung asked everyone who they would like to, like, would they like to continue to be friends with all the islanders after the show? And everyone said yes except TT. T T said no with the quickness. I was like, well, damn. So I'm just wondering who she doesn't want to be friends with. Like, I kind of wish she named names. And they asked her, like, do you want to name anybody? And she was like, nah. But I kind of wish she named names. Some wondering, like, who don't you want to be friends with, TT? Tell us the T. Uh.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, that was that. I mean, they was giving fake, though. I can't, I can't. Who was giving fake? I mean, even Kata, she had made a comment. She was like, Um, she was surprised that that her and Zach was the ones that was up for like elimination. She was, and she thought it would have it would have been KC and uh TT. And then and then after after all that, and then she gonna sit there and try to, you know, try to be all hee hoping.
SPEAKER_03I will say Kata did own up to that.
SPEAKER_07But it's still like, bruh, they they I'm sure they all had still had some animosity, even though they tried to fake the fight.
SPEAKER_03Oh, for sure. I wish they kind of showed us a little bit more of like the realness because they got, you know, T T got in that argument with Trinity, Trinity, and all of them, and then the next scene they all, the next thing they all like talking in the in the dressing room, and they all cool. So it's like, okay, we know something happened. We know that the producers probably went in and actually had a conversation. It's like, hey, y'all, we not doing that on this show. So y'all need to make up, X, Y, and Z, like whatever y'all need to do when you have these conversations, because that's not going on on this show. Um, but it was it was kind of like, come on now, y'all y'all could have at least showed a little bit more like I don't know, just a little bit more of like what was the complete fix.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. But you can tell, you can tell, like, and I understand they ain't show us everything. I mean, even when it any like anytime that you know, Casey is going through something or whatever, whatever, everybody starts bashing him, but then like whenever somebody else, you know, it's it's like it's quiet. So I don't know if like maybe they got they they shit off like earlier and they just showed us when they was going off on the other side. Right. Right, like it's just edited. That's what it could be. Like, it could be like, and that's why I was saying maybe the producer just edited it like that to make KC out to be the be the villain, but yeah, but yeah.
SPEAKER_03I don't know, yeah. I will say it sucked to see like all the hate on social for KC because there was a lot of like even comments from like companies, yeah, you know, and so that's like these companies are brands and they're saying negative things about you. These brands shouldn't be doing that, they're a brand, they're a company, sincere too, but sincere as well. So I won't just say it's KC because I think it's gonna really hit Sincere, because I think Sincere truly does not understand. Like, you can tell KC kind of felt the hate. You could even being in the on the island, he multiple times said, I think America hates me, or they hate us.
SPEAKER_07They might hate them, but they but the villa, the people in the villa didn't. They love Sincere, but they hated Casey.
SPEAKER_03Exactly. So I feel like Sincere kind of has like no idea, or like he hasn't kind of grasped that, like, there's a lot of hatred for him the same way Casey was grasping that. So I think it might hit Sincere a little hard too, because Sincere truly thinks, like I'm not he's he's not a bad guy. He made a mistake, but Sincere truly thinks, like they like me. But he's like, Me and Sincere, me and Melanie are good.
SPEAKER_07He made a lot of mistakes, bro.
SPEAKER_03At least I'm not KC. Like, I think in his mind, he's thinking, like, I kind of got out of it. I am gonna be able to do it. He's doing way worse than and he is Sincere's getting it too. So I think it's gonna be a surprise, a huge surprise to Sincere when he actually gets his phone and sees like the same kind of hate that KC is getting, Sincere is getting. So I don't think the girls would be mean girls, though.
SPEAKER_07I'm really surprised that they still there, bro. I can't lie.
SPEAKER_03I'm surprised.
SPEAKER_07America likes that toxic shit.
SPEAKER_03I think America America likes the the four girls, and they want those four girls to be in the last final four.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I don't think it has nothing to do with the girls.
SPEAKER_03I don't think it has nothing to do with the guys. America has made those girls brat dolls. They was like, they look like our our brat dolls, like Sasha and all them, Jasmine. And America loves the those girls the same way that America fell in love with PPG, like Serena and Janae, and PPG is the name?
SPEAKER_07What the hell did that mean?
SPEAKER_03PPG, Serena, uh, Janae, and Leah, uh Powerpuff Girls. Yes, and America loved it. And and and they were the top three. America brought them all the way to the end.
SPEAKER_07Who left right now?
SPEAKER_03Huh?
SPEAKER_07Who's left right now?
SPEAKER_03Uh so right now on Love Island, we have Kada and Zach, um, Trinity and Bryce, uh, Carl and Anaya, Melanie and Sincere.
SPEAKER_06Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_03So those are the four finalists, and uh they will find out who's gonna win. Who is your like who do you think is gonna win?
SPEAKER_07Uh America don't really know how to vote. So I think I think they're gonna vote, um they probably gonna vote Trinity and uh Bryce.
SPEAKER_03I said the same thing. I think Trinity and Bryce is gonna win. However, there was some leak out on social media that said Anaya and Carl wins.
SPEAKER_07That wouldn't make any sense to me. I'm not gonna go.
SPEAKER_03I'm just saying we people have fans.
SPEAKER_07I don't know how Anaya and Carl are still on the show, bro. She ain't give this man no time of day. Gave him time of day the last day, the day before he was about to leave. She did give him a time of day, though. Then didn't choose him. Then on top of that, came back and still ain't really like, it's like they connection almost feel like forced. Almost how like her and KC's was at first when uh he ain't get picked. Uh nah, I don't know, bro. She should have been gone. I don't even know how she's done. Trinity should have been gone. I don't know how she's still on the show. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Well, Trinity and Bryce are still on the show because I mean they have a Kenzie should have been gone.
SPEAKER_07I don't know how she made it this far.
SPEAKER_03Kinzie is gone.
SPEAKER_07She's gone now, but I don't know how she how she even made it this far for her.
SPEAKER_03I Kenzie got the villain edit too, but do you think Kinzie deserved it? I mean, she was doing what she was supposed to be doing. The girl's supposed to be exploring.
SPEAKER_07I feel like with the producer. Maybe she just wasn't being honest. The producer should have done the same thing that they did with the guys. Even with Man Destallion coming in and saying all that, like at least keep your your personal comments out of it. You dare to do whatever you dare to do, given all this person. But it's like, but that, but she still got on like KC though. Um, even though again, he went in the worst. And what he did went in crazy for real. He ain't really do nothing crazy. So I uh I I think the producers need to do the same for both sides. You're gonna have the same amount of negative edits over here, just like you guys saying my negative edits over here.
SPEAKER_03I agree with a few things that you said, but I do think genuinely that Anaya and Carl, Carl have a better connection than Anaya and KC. Um, I think KC, I think they were like good maybe for friends. Anaya and KC. I felt like they could have been good friends, but I think Anaya and Carl is a better match.
SPEAKER_07Anaya and TT are better, I mean Anaya. T T and KC are better match than K than Anaya and Carl though. I would I would have kept they're a better match than Anaya and Carl.
SPEAKER_03Well, I think they're I well, we still have Melanie and Sincere in the house. I think they like each other, genuinely like each other, but I just feel like it's it's just a toxic relationship. It's like they give me like they would get married, have kids, and then he would be like my dad is a Rolling Stone out doing whatever the hell he's doing, and then they still together. The fact y'all can still see them together just shows like it's toxic, but like it's like that toxicity that like those people would like deal with each other for years.
SPEAKER_07No, bro.
SPEAKER_03On some toxic stuff.
SPEAKER_07No, bro. He's a he telling every girl the same thing.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I agree. He's wrong. But I'm saying, but I also agree that I don't think Melanie is going anywhere.
SPEAKER_07I'm not anywhere.
SPEAKER_03And I think he's not gonna go anywhere.
SPEAKER_07But I'm just I'm just trying to like understand like why they got voted.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I guess I just people like the toxicity and people like Melanie, and I like Melanie too. Like, personality-wise, Melanie is probably one of my favorites in there. I just I I really like I think she's a cool girl. Like, out of personality-wise, Melanie would be probably my favorite girl.
SPEAKER_07And my favorite was probably old girl. Uh dang, what's her name? Bia. Oh, I like Bia too, though. I forgot about Bia. Once she left, I ain't like everybody was like, bro.
SPEAKER_03I did like Bia. I was like, Bia. I didn't know why they kicked out Bia, but you know, if it was her time to go, it's her time to go. I definitely like Bia. I think Corbin, at first, Corbin wasn't given no, he wasn't given anything, but he began to like open up and he began to get funny.
SPEAKER_07But all the girls were trying to get on this man, bruh. They was ready to take turns with, bruh. They didn't show that clip on movie night. All those girls were ready to take turns with, bruh.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_07They was all sitting there like, okay. He's sitting there like, okay, yeah. So, you know, isn't anyone interested? They're like, Yeah, we're all interested. Okay, goofy as hell.
SPEAKER_03Oh my goodness. I would say, you know, there are some people that gave us good television, and so I I like that they was on there. I think Kinzie gave us good television. I mean, she she was she was interesting out of the girls. If Kinzie wasn't there, then it wouldn't have been any girls that had any sort of drama for per per se. Kinse was one of the core.
SPEAKER_07Anaya would have hit her Tyler Perry fall, and it would have been some drama.
SPEAKER_03Oh my goodness, Anaya crying. We're not gonna talk about that. Tyler Perry book her ASAP Anaya for a next movie show. Kenzie, good television. I'm glad you was on my screen. I mean, and it it was time for you to go eventually, but you was good for TV. Parmita and Corbin, they were great for TV. I think they gave a lot of extra spiciness to the villa. And I like that Parmida was a girl who spoke her mind. Like, I like when they I like girls who are not like the typical super, super like nicey nice girl. Cause I like the people who are like straight up, blunt, will speak their mind and tell you what it is. Like, I don't need the super super nice girl that's just like, you know, I love you girls, but I like I I cling more to the the ones who speak their mind. So I definitely like the fact that Corbin and Parmita was in the house because they gave a little bit of spice, and so did I like TT. I'm TT. Pipe down, I'm TT. I was like, I was like, oh yeah, that's exactly what we needed. I was like, that's what we needed. So I like TT. I mean, you know, they everybody got their flaws. They pick people on the show for certain reasons, for certain personalities.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_03So everybody, you know. But yeah, yeah, and all but they were good TV.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, all the all in all though, um, just on some realness, just outside of the show, man. Hope they, like you said, continue on that success. And um yeah, wish them nothing but the best. But I don't agree with like some of the hate, like the name calling and all that. Like y'all gotta chill.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Y'all making it more than with it. Just stick to talk, talk about the show. Then when y'all, once y'all start getting outside of all that, it's just all right, bro.
SPEAKER_03Y'all I will agree, like the name calling and the cursing people out.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah, yeah. So D.
SPEAKER_03Was OD, ladies?
SPEAKER_07And oh no, no, no, no, no, no, not on them. I'm saying, like, from well, that is OD, but I was talking about from like the viewers. The viewers, like in the comments, the social media comments and all. But yeah, from the from the ladies, I yeah. The same thing happened last season. Like, y'all be calling fellas out their names, but then when the when when y'all do the same thing that they did, they don't match that, they don't hit y'all with that same energy.
SPEAKER_01But I think that's probably just life.
SPEAKER_07And and that's and I think women, I think we do that. That's why I think this was a good social experiment, but it's also interesting because like with the producers, I'm not gonna say people agree with this, but with the producers, it seemed like they almost trying to pin like the guys against the girls, like for basically just based off of like some of the viewers, because you already know how that's you know, kind of like uh there's a thing there it shouldn't be, but that that's what it's kind of like when you looking on social media. It's like of course all the guys gonna be on KC's side, all the girls are gonna be on Ana's side because she was crying. I'm just giving using them as an example, but I really think it's just a big social experiment, psychological experiment, especially for the folks that's getting like way too deep into it. Yeah, yeah. But yeah, it's it's it's interesting.
SPEAKER_03I agree with you. I saw a lot of people like people who like actually study like psychology and actually study human behaviors, and they was just like, yo, we I'm watching this just to study, like I'm watching this, and I'm thinking on it on a whole different level because it really does show a lot about like our our human behaviors between the different um genders and how we react. And so it's it's really interesting to watch. I I will say it's interesting to watch. Yeah, but uh yeah, that was Love Island.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, man. I ain't really anything we missed. I don't think so. I mean, yeah, um, yeah, I don't think there's nothing else I could really.
SPEAKER_03I don't know who's gonna win. By the time this comes out, somebody's gonna win. And you guys heard it first. We think it's either Trinity and I think it's gonna be Trinity and Bryce. However, there has again, there's been some whispers that Anaya and Carl win. So it'll be.
SPEAKER_07Trinity and Bryce are just giving best friends, so I don't know. I I feel like maybe America wants to see them as best friends outside of the villa.
SPEAKER_03I don't want Bryce to take down that money, but I'll let Trinity take it. She can take it back to her and her.
SPEAKER_07He might give her his 50. You know, never know.
SPEAKER_03Hell no. If he gives her his 50, that's a good man.
SPEAKER_04You better keep him. That's a good man. That is a good man. You got a good man.
SPEAKER_07Oh my gosh. Well, um, if we got if we got a little bit of time, I guess I can dive in the uh just kind of news guy a little bit. See what's been going on in the world. Ain't got too much because I know we we had our little violin.
SPEAKER_03Just kinda are you ready?
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_04Just kinda news guy.
SPEAKER_07Honestly, you know, I got such a serious story. I was gonna do two, but I might just do this one just because it's like it's so crazy. Um, don't know if y'all heard it, but uh, you know, over July 4th weekend, individual uh named Nolan Wells, he went on uh you know a celebration with his friends out on at looks like it was Horn Island, uh off of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Well, um when the friends returned, he wasn't with them. So I'll just go ahead and read his article, shout out AP News. So 18 year old, uh he took a boat trip with friends, celebrate 4th of July. Um two days later, he was found dead and The parents have no idea what happened. So just to kind of give a little bit of insight, um, so his body it was he was found uh early Monday uh after uh 4th of July. It was about seven miles off of the Mississippi coast. Um, and this was more than a day after he was last seen alive. So just just to kind of throw in like just some some weird details, so um when uh like we said, the friends they arrived back without him. And um one of the friends had his phone, which was strange, uh, and they didn't um report any he wasn't reported missing, or nobody said anything until I want to say 11 p.m. that night. And that's when his mom, you know, you know, found out. And I just found this detail out. Nobody actually gave the parents the phone, they actually tracked had the investigator track it and went and got the phone from someone. So that's a red flag to me too. You know, like they not even report they not even giving the phone back, they're not reporting it, nothing like that. Um what else happened? Uh so there's been there's been like this video circulating where um they're saying it's Nolan, and he's basically saying, Give me back my FM phone, give me back my my phone. Um, and they can hear it like in the background. So they they're they're saying that they know it was some type of conflict or confrontation going on. Um, it's a lot of people out there on this boat. So this is what one girl said. One one girl said, or one friend said that he was staying back to talk to a girl, he was gonna catch another boat ride back back home. I guess that's that's common out there, you know. So you know they're that certain community, they're they're all friends, I guess. I don't know. Um, so that's one story. The other one said that they were um, I want to say he was I don't know if he was like going to supposed to be like riding with somebody back. He was just gonna ride with somebody else back. I don't know if they were doing something like going to a party afterwards, I don't know. So there was like there was like two separate stories uh going around. Um and then on top of that, nobody said anything. There's a whole bunch of people there at this party during July 4th weekend. I guess it's a whole bunch of people that's always out there. No one said anything, no one witnessed anything, no one drowning. Uh the parents said there were text messages that were erased from his phone. Um I don't know, it's just a lot of suspicious things. No one there there hasn't been an arrest warrant issued, not for um underage drinking, not not for the for the students underage drinking, but whoever allowed that. Um there hasn't been a search warrant issued for the person who they where they found the phone because if they did have the phone and they took it without authorization, then I mean technically that's like theft, but there wasn't no search warrant issued. It's just like it I don't know, it's just like it's a lot of things that's that you would think would be going on right now that's not and um I mean it's it's sad to say all the friends that he was with, you know, they were they were white, and I mean, you know, a lot of people are saying, you know, we we shouldn't just assume that, you know, what happened was, you know, of course, I mean say the obvious, they killed him, but they don't want us to think that. But I mean, we've seen that, you know, way too often just in history. So, you know, um, it's it's not getting the the story not getting the same amount of attention as the uh Carmelo Anthony case. Um you can just see uh how how um different we're treated, you know, when when it comes to justice. So, you know, we'll see um how things unfold. There's still this the story is still developing, developing. Um still just sending out condolences to the to the family, can imagine, you know, what they what they must be going through. Um but I want to say the one of the one of the kids' parents uh used to be a judge or is a judge. I don't know if they're currently a judge or is a judge, but I know that too. So I don't know. I I think somebody's gonna fold though. Somebody's gonna say something.
SPEAKER_03But it's just like the connections that they have.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah, I know, yeah.
SPEAKER_03It's it's it's never fair. It's never fair because regardless of whether or not we we know they're not gonna be held to the same standard that we're gonna be held to. Yeah if it was the other way around. Yeah, and the connections that they have, one one parent is a judge, the other parent is I think a top lawyer, like the connections that they have, they are easy, they can easily get off with so many things. Yeah, and so many things can be covered up, so it's never equal. It's never equal for us, and that's the unfortunate, sad thing, but it's also the reality of of the situation. Um, I I want to add that I I did read that the family was trying to send his body um to uh a second yeah for another autopsy. For another autopsy that would be separate from what the police is doing down there because guess what? We don't trust them and we want our own. Don't sound like they're doing anything, do it. Exactly, but the connections that they have.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I mean, if you just kind of want to look at, like, I feel like a great show on this is um uh your honor. It kind it shows how like highly connected that these people are that they can literally if if they want to get out with a crime, they can get out with a crime.
SPEAKER_07It's it's crazy you say that because I think I think that like that same thing happened with the Carmela Anthony case. Like that that show really did expose a lot, yeah, and just showed how how much power these judges really do have, like to get a certain your perfect jury like right there, and the way that the certain questions that the judge may ask from that jury that they may allow and deny it's like they do get a they do have a lot of power.
SPEAKER_03The judges have so much power. If the judge does not want someone to go to jail for something, they have power to prevent that.
SPEAKER_07I don't know if this is worth mentioning, but I know the the um so-called friends, they all deactivated their social media accounts, yeah. Um some of the parents did too.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, a lot of the parents did um deactivate their social media accounts.
SPEAKER_07Um listen, it's just it's just trip, it's just crazy. Like I don't see no no 18-year-old willingly just leaving without his phone. I just don't see that happening keys, no phone or keys, house keys. Uh it doesn't make sense to me.
SPEAKER_03No, no, no teenager is willingly going. We know how glue people teenagers, people in general, adults are to their phone. No teenager is going without their phone.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_03At the end of the day, he's out to a party, he's by himself, he's with friends, but he's by himself, no family. He gotta have a way home. He's not going without his phone.
SPEAKER_07Something happened, and they're trying to give us the hopefully it's gonna be telling if it's water found in his lungs after the autopsy. If if there is water found, and I mean, then I mean, you know, I I it wouldn't be a de defining thing, but I mean they could say he could have possibly drowned, but if there's no water in his lungs, then that that means he was put there. So and and and it's crazy because the day before he was found, they they they were all out searching. I think there there was like a volunteer Cajun, I think they their name was the French Navy or something like that. The French went home. They were they were out eating dinner, like nothing happened. Or they were eating lunch or oh no, they were eating breakfast the next day. The next morning they were eating breakfast. Yeah, you're right. Like nothing happened, yeah, like nothing happened. But um, but they were searching for them and they couldn't find the body. All these fake stories. You would think they would have found the body, and then the next day now the body's just so easy to find right there. I don't know, you know. We're gonna find out though. The truth's gonna come around.
SPEAKER_03Um But we're not gonna say on the podcast, but you guys know too, so we don't have to say it.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03I mean, um we don't know all the exact details, but we know it was foul play.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, it was foul play. It doesn't make sense. It's too many. You got more questions and answers, and then you got all these fake.
SPEAKER_03Oh, last time I saw him was on the on the boat. Meanwhile, he went to a whole party after the boat, and you in the picture with at the party. So why are you lying about the law?
SPEAKER_07And I wasn't gonna bring up that just because I couldn't cross-reference that story yet.
SPEAKER_01We don't know if that story is true.
SPEAKER_07This is all alleged, but I did see something that said that Nolan was at a party after, you know, he and Ben reposted it with a picture of him. Yeah, and the he reposted it.
SPEAKER_03He said that it hasn't been completely confirmed, but he reposted it as in like, you know, this.
SPEAKER_07To see if we can get answers more answers.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I can go look at the caption he gave.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, they're saying that he was at a party, and um, this girl basically saw him at the party, and then uh the the mom, I don't know who was there, but whoever was the owner of the house, they told everyone to leave. But the only person that wasn't allowed to leave was Nolan, and he was um the last time she saw him, he was pressed up against a basketball goal in a pool, um, gasping for hair while he was spitting out blood, and it was a whole bunch of, I guess, guys holding him up there. But I don't know. I don't I don't know.
SPEAKER_03I can read the caption.
SPEAKER_07It's all alleged.
SPEAKER_03So he posted a photo of him at the pool. He said, uh the streets are talking. Now, listen, I don't know if these are facts or rumors because no official statements have been confirmed. We sometimes have to follow all clues until the truth is found. Here is what was discovered on social media last night. Social media allegations claim a photo exists of Nolan at a land-based pool party in Jackson County before 1 a.m. on July 5th. It's a photo.
SPEAKER_07Wait, that was on the that photo was July 5th.
SPEAKER_03Before 1 a.m. on July 5th.
SPEAKER_07Before 1 a.m. On July 5th. So it would have been later that night.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Between July 4th and July 5th.
SPEAKER_03He's in the pool with a whole bunch of people. I mean, he kind of uh actually posted this on social, especially if it is confirmed that this is true.
SPEAKER_07He was found. He was found on July 6th.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. This is terrible.
SPEAKER_07I mean, I wanna say, uh, I think I think uh Tyler Perry and Kaepernick, I wanna say they're helping out. Um I can't remember which is helping out which, but one is helping out with like the funeral costs, I think, and then the other is gonna help out with the um investigation.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, let's let's put some money towards that.
SPEAKER_07I know the funeral is gonna get covered for sure. I think they, I think, yeah, I'm sure they're getting like a lot of help for sure.
SPEAKER_03Help us out with that autopsy.
SPEAKER_07But yeah, man, that's all I want to do for just kind of the news guy. I just want to shed light on that because I feel like that story's not getting as much coverage as um as uh the unfortunate um you know situation. Yeah, Carmel Anthony, I forget the other the victim's name, but but yeah, you know, so hopefully more to come soon on that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we're definitely gonna try to keep up with that so we can give more updates on that because uh we should all like I don't know if everybody else cares like this is your brother, but we should all be caring like that's our brother for sure.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, it can be anybody, any one of them. Yeah, but yeah, that's all I have for just cottage news guy.
SPEAKER_03All right, just cotta news guy. Well, thank you for sharing. All right, well, y'all know what time it is. Is it time for your favorite part of the show? It's time for your favorite part of the show. It's yay, or nay, with T J. Yay, Arnay, with T J. Thank you for coming in. I was like, where the f is my B? You came in a little late. You came in a little late. I was like, is he coming?
SPEAKER_07That's what she said.
SPEAKER_03What? Oh my goodness, you know what? I this whole episode, I have not really said anything crazy, y'all. And now he finally said a crazy thing. Now it's not just me. Uh it's finally not just me. I'm usually the one saying all the crazy stuff, and I'm like, damn, I said that on the podcast. His people, his family gonna see it and be like, what in the world is wrong with this girl? All right, so for this Yay and A segment with TJ, we're gonna talk a little bit about solo dates. Now we know solo dates is a thing, but I feel like it is more so like women going out and taking themselves on solo dates. Like, we see women kind of romanticize, you know, going out, going to the movies by yourself, or take yourself out to dinner, take yourself out for dessert, like self-care. We romanticize that all the time and kind of focus on the women, but like, how often are men taking themselves on solo dates? Like, is this a thing for guys? And should it be? Like, what's your thoughts, Jessica?
SPEAKER_07Um, yeah, I I don't know if we would romanticize it though. Uh, I I think we would just go all right. Take that way. I don't I don't know if we're gonna do that, but I mean we would I think I think more men should do that. Um, for sure. I mean, like to be honest, you know, they would probably prefer doing that than spending it on a girl just to just to try to get some, you know, get some yeah yeah. You know what I mean? Come on, y'all should just just spend the just spend the bread on yourself, cuh. Spend the bread, spend the bread on yourself, bro. Like, go, you know, go go get yourself some clothes, go get yourself some food, go watch a move, go buy yourself some jewelry, bro. It's so easy for you to say that. Don't spend no bread on no girl just to flow she can fly out just in hopes that she give you some. Because y'all don't even be communicating about that off rip. Y'all don't even be, you know what I mean? So just spend that bread on yourself, King. You know what I mean?
unknownDo you, bruh?
SPEAKER_07That's your hard-earned money, man. Treat spend the money on you for. I think somebody, hey, somebody told me that I can't I can't remember the exact saying, but pay yourself first. Pay yourself for my dude said that. Pay your pay yourself first. Not me.
SPEAKER_03Okay, that went way off like the damn road.
SPEAKER_07That's what we are. We between random and we between real. So I gotta give them a little bit of both.
SPEAKER_03Question: What type of places would you suggest men taking themselves on solo dates?
SPEAKER_07Um, probably, you know, to the you know, Nordstrom, they got some fire clothes, yeah. Uh go buy. Buy somewhere to get some, yeah, go buy some shoes. Um, you can go shooting. Uh okay. What do you mean?
SPEAKER_03I guess.
SPEAKER_07Go shooting, yeah, that's for sure. Um, what else? Uh go hoop or something like that.
SPEAKER_04Hooping it's not no date.
SPEAKER_07You're treating yourself, man. Buy some jewelry, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_03That's not nothing, that's just going shopping. All right, all right, here you know what I mean.
SPEAKER_07Go get some good food at a good restaurant when you ain't gotta pay for two. And it's is is I'm trying to tell you.
SPEAKER_03You gotta sit at the restaurant.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, you can sit at the restaurant for sure. Eat somewhere where y'all would never go because it was too big two miles of feed. That's where you gotta go.
SPEAKER_03Oh, so you're saying people who are in relationships to take themselves on solo dates and men should go to a restaurant that they're that they know that girl wanna go to, but they should go alone and eat without her.
SPEAKER_02So you pretty much give couples advice to get divorces.
SPEAKER_07Uh yeah, I said I said I said restaurants that he would want to take her to, but because of how expensive it is, he like, nah, I ain't gonna do that. I'm gonna just go and I'm gonna just go by myself and pay for myself.
SPEAKER_04Oh, that's selfish.
SPEAKER_07So treating myself on a date.
SPEAKER_04Like, oh, that's selfish.
SPEAKER_07What do you mean?
SPEAKER_04What type of men is out here? What type of men are you talking to?
SPEAKER_07Don't say I ain't never helped y'all. For sure.
SPEAKER_03And he's gonna go home and his girl gonna be like, What you did today, and he be like, I took myself the stat steak 48.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, yeah. Took myself to stake 48, took myself to rude Chris Nobu, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_03You trying to get people break up. You trying to get people to break up. You are not before the guy.
SPEAKER_07All right, what if what if what if people went on solo trips? How you feel about that? I know we're talking about solo dates. How you feel about solo date trips? Is that a thing?
SPEAKER_03I feel like people can go on solo solo trips. Are we talking about single people? Are we talking about people in a relationship though?
SPEAKER_07Hmm.
SPEAKER_03Because I mean, I mean, I feel like either or the people in a relationship. People in relationships can go on solo trips.
SPEAKER_07You think so?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, for sure. For sure. Maybe maybe people in relationships need to go on solo trips more often.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, I don't agree with that. I don't agree with that. What the hell? I don't agree with that. I don't agree with that. Not not for not for reasons that y'all may think. I'm talking about reasons of you know safety. Just want to be sure that your partner is secure and safe wherever they're traveling. You know, I wouldn't want them to just, you know, be traveling anywhere by themselves with no agenda and no nothing. It's like they're just like, take me as I am. I'm carding with the wind. Like free for what's the itinerary? What are you going there for? You know, it's just a business meeting. Okay, are you meeting friends there, family there? A bunch of red flags if you're not meeting anyone there, okay? Um, maybe they need a break from their kids and their kids in their life, and their partner, and their partner who they're in life with. Okay, okay, maybe. Sign that contract for life.
SPEAKER_03Okay, they they can't get two days, a weekend to themselves.
SPEAKER_07A weekend to do what?
SPEAKER_03A weekend to just do whatever the hell they want.
SPEAKER_07They can do that down the street. There's plenty spas out here. It's pretty he can go anywhere down the street.
SPEAKER_03Well, a solo vacay don't necessarily gotta mean they going across like out the country.
SPEAKER_07It also don't mean that they gotta leave the city or leave the state. They can go get a little hotel.
SPEAKER_03They can leave the state, they can leave the city. I mean, what's wrong with going two hours away and saying, hey, I'm getting a hotel two hours away?
SPEAKER_07Um imagine that. Hey, hey, I'm gonna be back. I'm going for this weekend. I'm gonna go give me a hotel a couple hours away. Don't hit me up.
SPEAKER_03Why not? Why not? That don't make no sense.
SPEAKER_07I'm just saying, like why not?
SPEAKER_03You should allow it. Some people need to try that.
SPEAKER_07I'm gonna try that, y'all. I'm gonna send y'all the resources and see how it goes.
SPEAKER_03No, you can't do that shit, but I can't. What are you talking about? Like, listen, people need breaks, especially these mamas. Think about these mamas, they got two, three kids, they got all these babies, they constantly taking care of their babies, they constantly working, they constantly taking care of the house. They get breakfast. Like, how about you how about you gift your girl two nights set up or the whole time?
SPEAKER_07I'll give her, I'll give her the I'll give her 30 minutes of her sitting in the car before she walks in the house. That's what that's her gift. If you want to get some time away from get that's your time away, you take that 30 minutes sitting in the car before you walk in the house. You know what I mean? You take that time, Queen.
SPEAKER_05Just to let you guys know, we didn't sign a prenup, so I'm not going anywhere. There's no prenup, so I'm here to stab it. I guess all I get is 30 minutes, girl. I know that's my life, girl. That's my life. Call me and make sure I'm still okay. Call check up on me, guys. Just check up on me. Oh, I'm just kidding. Just check up on me. Yeah, he's just he's just he he's just kidding, right? Right, right. Oh my god. Text me, girl.
SPEAKER_03Text me, girl. Listen, I think couples, I think people should be able to get a day or two to themselves, especially when you've been together. You it ain't even a trust factor. I get your security factor.
SPEAKER_07I think the date for sure, yeah.
SPEAKER_03I think I think you're going back to the date.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, you can date yourself because you gotta love yourself first before you can love anybody else. So if you can't go on a date by yourself, then you damn sure can't can't be in a couple.
SPEAKER_03I will say I've been to the movies by myself and it was like an extraordinary, extraordinary event. Like it, it was so nice. Like taking myself out to the movies and like watching a movie and eating my popcorn and sitting there. It's just like, this is so cute. I enjoyed it. Now, do I I mean do I enjoy it more than my man taking me? No. But I enjoyed it, it was fun. So, but the question was about men. Men should take themselves out on solo dates. Like, you know, I go to the movies too.
SPEAKER_07I I I know guys that I think they do that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. You can go to the movies or you can go get you some lunch. I ain't gonna say take yourself to the nicest restaurant that your girl knows you shoot. She knows she knows she wants to be.
SPEAKER_07Gotta be something that y'all talked about because I forget you, you know, you if this make this be one that you didn't talk about, but you was like, damn, I do want to take care of their best this much, but you only said that to yourself, and then you see it and you like, oh wait, I'm gonna take myself on a date, and then you go there, you only got one mouth to feed.
SPEAKER_03That sounds so selfish.
SPEAKER_07Because you because you're taking yourself on a date, so it's really selfless. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02He can at least buy her a damn appetizer.
SPEAKER_07It's a then then then it's not a you're not taking yourself on a date anymore. Because now you're thinking about others. You supposed to be taking yourself on a date.
SPEAKER_03Just think about yourself, yeah.
SPEAKER_07Come on now.
SPEAKER_03Oh my goodness. All right, so listen, take yourself to the to the movies, take yourself out to eat. I don't know about go go buy you a grill.
SPEAKER_07Like, that was yeah, go get you, go get you some grills, man.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, take yourself to the library, go get you a tattoo.
SPEAKER_07You might want to get take yourself on a little tattoo date.
SPEAKER_03Get a book, yeah.
SPEAKER_07Buy some books, use it as firewood.
SPEAKER_03Firewood.
SPEAKER_07We don't read no more. Oh my goodness. I'm just playing. I ain't trying to prepare. I'm just playing, man. Oh my goodness. Yeah, buy some, yeah, go on a book date. Go uh, go learn how to change some ties on a car, change some oil, you know. Go go learn some math. You know, that don't have anything to do with that. Science museum, you know, discovery place. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02Y'all don't have nothing to do for dates, huh? Y'all, y'all know what to do. He said, go hooping.
SPEAKER_07Why? What is it? Go to the bar. See, that's what I'm saying. It's like certain things. I don't know about the bar, bar is like a social thing.
SPEAKER_03Like, I feel like you gotta go somewhere where it's like like I was saying, go shooting. Because at that point, I'm thinking, why you going to the bar?
SPEAKER_07That's what I'm saying. Like, why you going to the bar the same way somebody would think like, why you going on a trip by yourself?
SPEAKER_03Ain't nothing wrong with going on a trip, bro.
SPEAKER_07But it's but it's something wrong going to a bar. Because that's like you're on a trip.
SPEAKER_03You get one drink, because why are you getting drunk on a trip by yourself? That's weird.
SPEAKER_07You get drunk in a bar. It's both weird.
SPEAKER_03But you going so you going on a trip, going to a bar and getting drunk by yourself.
SPEAKER_07What's the difference between going to a bar and getting drunk and getting drunk at your hotel?
SPEAKER_02Because at that point, you hate your life.
SPEAKER_07So you had to take a whole trip. Which would make you more mad. You want to go to another bar which go get drunk at the bar? Which would make you more mad that your man is getting drunk in the bar by himself because you hate his life, or your man taking a trip because he's trying to go get get with somebody else.
SPEAKER_03So why does why does he have to be trying to get with somebody else? Why can't he just go take a little self-care trip an hour away?
SPEAKER_07He can take a self-care trip, but I never heard of somebody going to take a self-care trip while they got their care with them at all times.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's deep.
SPEAKER_03That's deep.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't know about the man on the on the trip, but the girls, we can go. And the man should buy himself at the hotel.
SPEAKER_07By yourself? Why not? Oh yeah, you're trying, bro.
SPEAKER_03Why not? And then the man can keep the kids for the weekend and he drops his girlfriend.
SPEAKER_07What if the the what if the the mom take the kids? And it'd be like a whole like self-care weekend for them, and they go wherever they want on vacation, and the pops stay at the crib and handle everything at the house, you know, while the mom and the kids is gone on vacation. The pops is at the crib. Yeah, for sure. And then it can be like a self-care at the self-care at the yeah, for sure. That'll work.
SPEAKER_03You don't have kids in the shows. Uh listen, for this yay or nay segment with TJ, should men go out and you know, enjoy solo dates, take themselves out to the movies, take themselves out to a restaurant, play pool, wine and dine on themselves. Yes, man, y'all should take care of y'all selves, y'all should do some self-care because y'all's mental health is important too. Y'all's self-care is important too. I know we always think about us ladies and we romanticize self-care for us, but whether you're single, whether you're in a relationship, you should value time to yourself, you know. Yes, it's not all the time, but every now and then, maybe once a quarter or twice a year, take yourself out, give yourself a little moment to just like decompress and just realign with yourself because that's important for your mental health, it's important for your relationship, it's important for everything. So I do think that men should take themselves out on solo dates, and that is it. Cases clear.
SPEAKER_07Is it cases closed or cases clear?
SPEAKER_03I don't know. I don't be watching the divorce shows yet and the judge shows yet. I'm not at that age limit yet.
SPEAKER_07It is crazy, it's like a certain age that be watching them shows so weird.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. It's like once you hit that, once you hit it, it's like drinking on a mama.
SPEAKER_07Like when you start watching court shows, it's like a certain age. I guess that just interests you.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. Something about it.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, man. That's that's that's pretty much all I had. You had anything else you want to tell people to do?
SPEAKER_03I think this was a great show. I think we hit a hit a couple things, you guys. Some important news that's going on in the world, some not so important reality shows that's going on in the world, and a little bit of tips for you. So I think this is a good episode.
