If there’s a topic you’d like me to discuss, please send me a message.
Over my career, I have accepted various promotions in the corporate space.
Then, at a certain point, I realized that something was very wrong.
I was the only woman in the room. Perhaps there were other women out there experiencing the same. And perhaps those women needed mentors. So, I decided to walk away from my high-paying executive job and started Living While Leading.
High-performing women deserve to be supported through the unique challenges they face in male-dominated spaces.
This is where OWN THE ROOM comes in. You work hard to build your expertise and reputation. You may question if you’re genuinely being seen or heard in specific spaces. This self-doubt impacts visibility, erodes confidence, and affects how others perceive your value.
In your one-off OWN THE ROOM 90-minute private session, I’ll help prioritize individual goals and brainstorm actionable steps.
Then, there’s my 3-month coaching program: the LWL 4-step system. You get weekly tailored sessions for 3 months for 1 hour to help you reach your goals.
Don’t wait for the “perfect” time to invest in yourself. The right time is now. Work with me to unlock your potential and ensure you own every room you enter.

During a recent coaching session with a successful executive, our conversation led us to the topic of artificial intelligence (AI).
Our dialogue uncovered her genuine curiosity about AI's potential yet revealed her apprehension about integrating it into her work which stemmed from a fear of falling behind in an increasingly AI-driven world.
She expressed feeling overwhelmed by the ever-present presence of AI in news articles, industry publications, and her social media feeds. Despite her confidence in other areas, this constant exposure was a source of stress, as she struggled with the perceived pressure to develop AI-driven strategies for her business.
This scenario is not uncommon. In fact, according to research from the Chief’s report on The New Era of Leadership, 42% of the c-suite executives who responded to their survey acknowledged AI’s potential but were still trying to figure out how to integrate it into their business.
If you're a female executive grappling with the same challenge, know that you're not alone.
Let's explore the factors that could be preventing your complete acceptance of AI and examine practical steps to alter your perspective and transform your work dynamics.

What Holds Women Executives Back from Embracing AI?
Artificial intelligence (AI) has long been a staple in various industries, particularly powering e-commerce giants like Amazon. With the emergence of generative AI, this technology has become more accessible to the everyday user at minimal or no cost.
Despite the explosion of new AI applications, you may still show hesitation toward its adoption. Let's dive into three key factors that may underlie this reluctance:
· Lack of Familiarity AI can feel like uncharted territory. Despite your curiosity, the complex nature of this technology may seem intimidating, especially if you haven't had prior exposure or training in this field. Without a solid understanding of how AI works and its potential applications, it's natural to feel tentative about incorporating it into your work.
· Fear of Disruption Another factor contributing to hesitation is the fear of disruption. You may worry that introducing AI into your workflows could lead to job displacement or significant changes in your role and responsibilities. This fear of the unknown can create a barrier to adoption, as you struggle to reconcile the benefits of AI with the potential risks and uncertainties it presents.
· Uncertainty about Implementation Lastly, even if you recognize the potential of AI, you may struggle to envision how it fits into your specific area of expertise. Questions about infrastructure, training, and resource allocation may arise, leaving you unsure of where to begin or how to navigate the implementation process effectively.
It's Time to Shift Your Perspective—AI is Not a Threat
As a women leader it’s crucial for you to shift your perspective and recognize that AI is not a threat for several reasons:
· Embracing AI opens up opportunities for innovation and growth. By leveraging AI technologies, you can enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and unlock new possibilities for business development and expansion.
· In today's fast-paced and competitive business landscape, staying ahead of the curve is essential. Embracing AI allows you to position your organization as forward-thinking and adaptable, allowing you to gain a competitive edge.
· Embracing AI empowers you to take charge of technological advancements, drive positive change and foster a culture of innovation within your organization.
Shifting your perspective on AI is essential for you to continue to thrive in the ever-evolving business world and drive meaningful impact.
Three Tips for Women Leaders for Unlocking the Power of AI
Here are three tips to help reframe your thinking about artificial intelligence:
1. Embrace Lifelong Learning: First and foremost, embrace a mindset of lifelong learning. AI is changing quickly and your ability to stay informed about the latest developments and trends is essential. Seek out opportunities for training, workshops, and professional development programs to deepen your understanding of AI and its potential applications in your industry.
2. Foster Collaboration and Experimentation: Next, foster a culture of collaboration and experimentation within your organization. Encourage cross-functional teams to explore AI solutions and pilot projects that address specific business challenges or opportunities. By fostering a supportive environment that values innovation and risk-taking, you can create space for creativity and discovery.
3. Seek Guidance and Mentorship: Lastly, don't hesitate to seek guidance and mentorship from experts in the field of AI. Whether it's connecting with industry peers, attending conferences, or even engaging with AI thought leaders online, leverage the knowledge and expertise of others to navigate your AI journey with confidence. Collaboration is key — you don't have to have all the answers yourself!
I want to leave you with this thought. Artificial intelligence has the potential to revolutionize the way you work, lead, and innovate. By embracing a growth mindset, fostering collaboration, and seeking guidance along the way, you can exploit the power of AI to drive positive change and shape the future.
Remember, you’re the solution to claiming what’s important to you!
