How has YOUR MOTHER affected your self worth and your Faith Life?
I've learned to take my self-value from God's assessment of me, as opposed to what my mother, siblings and children think of me... even though my mother profoundly blessed me with her lifelong love and practice of the Catholic Faith.
A Catholic Mother has the ability and calling to create the culture in her home. My mother did this to an extraordinary degree.
IN PART 2 of my talk about my beautiful mother, I share more details, including some of my challenges and conflicts.
My dear mother took her 4 children on her personal journey of Faith and Life and impacted each one of us in a unique and personal way.
She sacrificed her friendships, lifestyle and polite society relationships to create a haven and home life that was protected from error and the moral pollutions of modern day life.
In this episode, I share personal and vulnerable details of my own feelings of inadequacy and why I have always been willing to seek first the kingdom of Heaven in my life.
How and why I have almost always been willing to be a 'fool for Christ'.
I share pivotal philosophies ingrained within me by my holy and dynamic and courageous MOTHER.
She lived what she taught us -- she lived as an active Catholic, always desiring to spread the Faith and to help souls -- and now I am doing the same, though with a different method.
I share details about her as a person, what our Catholic home life was like, and even embarrassing details about my education.
I share details about our life, struggling to live as faithful and traditional Catholics in a world that was rapidly discarding the precious reverence and Faith of the past.
We attended the Latin Mass, exclusively, and my parents went to great lengths to teach us the core messages of traditional Catholicism.
