SEGMENT 1: THE PLAYERS Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Nemours Children’s Health includes the only pediatric sickle cell program in Jacksonville and one of the largest in the state of Florida. And it’s sickle cell disease we’re talking about today with Nemours hematologist/oncologist Dr. Julian Zorrilla and self-professed sickle cell advocate, warrior, and patient Fredrianna Copeland-Webster. Fredrianna and Dr. Zorrilla sat down with us for an interview as part of Well Beyond Medicine Day in Jacksonville earlier this month to help raise awareness about this group of blood disorders we know as sickle cell disease. 

SEGMENT 2: We catch up with Dr. Peggy Greco, Assistant Vice President and Chief Experience Officer for Nemours Children’s Health, to get her thoughts as a psychologist about what she sees as the three most significant influences on a child’s social, emotional, and mental health.
