Throughout our Learning Series on The Whole Child, Whole Family, Whole Community and the underlying Social Determinants of Health we have seen time and time again how we cannot fully support a child until we take their entire context and experience into consideration. At the same time, we have also seen how implementing one small intervention, whether it's offering an over-the-weekend snack pack to one child to keep their belly full or it's offering up a bus pass at the exact time a family needs it to get to an appointment, can have multiplying effects that impact the child and family in a positive way.

Today, Jeremiah Covington, a Community Schools Resource Coordinator in the Madison Metropolitan School District, talks to us about how small efforts focused on one need, can have multiplying effects. He also highlights how orienting OST work in the name of serving the whole child and whole family, creates more meaning and inspiration for staff.
