In our sixth episode we had the pleasure of talking with Amy Castro and Stacia West. They are activists and leading researchers on basic income in the world and abroad. They are heads of CGRI - Centre for Guaranteed Income Research, an applied research center specializing in cash-transfer research, evaluation, pilot design, and narrative change. We provide mixed-methods expertise in designing and executing empirical guaranteed income studies that work alongside the existing safety net. CGRI has been studying several guaranteed income experiments across the US, including the well-known SEED experiment.
