The Exciting World of Digital Peacebuilding - With Nicole Rieber, Head of Unit Peace Education of the Berghof Foundation
Today's guest is Nicole Rieber. She works as Head of Unit for the Peace Education team at Berghof Foundation. In her work, she focuses on digital peace education, in particular phenomena like misinformation, hate speech and conspiracy theories and what influence those have on individuals and (democratic) societies. She leads the projects #vrschwrng and Culture of Conflict 3.0 and is editor for the internet portal frieden-fragen.de, a peace internet portal for children and youth. Before joining the Berghof Foundation, she coordinated a research group at the University of Tübingen. Nicole holds a PhD in psychology and a master in media science. In 2022, Nicole received the Landecker Democracy Fellowship.
