Yeah because back in the day uh you couldn't but you could see that like highway right that was being built and now it's done so you can just but I do believe I remember those because it's right on the like the line where uh divides Arizona from Nevada I want to say like the two angels yeah those things are cool they are beautiful they're beautiful how does it kind of describe them like some kind of something with wings powerful creatures always Oscar like Oscar oh Oscar statues yeah yeah that's cool that posture that thing kind of lifting towards the heavens yeah but yeah we've got ourselves a damn problem yeah we got ourselves a damn problem so yeah to run it back um we in at the end of chapter 13 as we're talking about we just lost Bianca that big giant battle fulfilled that portion of the prophecy you know and now we are um okay at the edge of a dump okay so they get a tow truck and they're pretty much like we just gotta keep it was full of gath yeah that kind of turned out to work out yeah just the way we always like to see things turn out to work out so they're just hauling through the desert now um we got uh Thalia driving um she's in the front Thalia seems to have kind of like it mow more together than everyone else yeah because we're still kind of an aftershock yeah of losing Beyonce of losing beyond she's like yo these skeletons are coming we gas to go yeah we still got that skeletal delital yeah we got Zoe Thali up front Grover and Pers in the back looks like a beautiful day we're cruising through right now yeah it's kind of just rubs it in that we're all so miserable. He's still got the little statue that Bianca gave to give to Nico what am I going to tell Nico? That's gonna be a tough conversation yeah he's just kind of bumming about saying that you know it should have been me totally gone. He and I mean that's just so Percy because he he loves his friends so dearly he always sacrifices for his friends so to see Bianca just leap into it right and then leave him with that little figurine I do wonder what that figurine is yeah I forget it I don't think it said what it is I'm sure Nico would probably be like it's the it's the plenty of crindle it's the blindle crendle boss um but purse straight saying like it should have been me right so classic purse and then Grove is just like dude no of course like purse is Grover's bestest bestest best friend totally and of course Grover's like dude I couldn't lose you oh no one else oh Grover he just punches it right back and then we're talking about how like because Grover's pretty emotional right now and purse is you know talking about how ever since that event with the wild wind like Grover's just been extra sensitive yeah extra touchy yeah he was touched by a pan yeah exactly seeming fragile yeah a little more emotional totally so because I feel like you know like we've been touching on that whole searcher's license right he knows that like his his life's dream the dream of his race dang near has been touched there's whispers so yeah so anyways Grover's kind of doing a little rough and that is Percy's talking about how like that's kind of keeping him level headed because since he's gotta take he can't like really bum about you know Abeth or you know even Bianca right now because you know he's gotta like keep them moving forward to get to Abeth and the rest of their mission.

It's a beautiful thing Percy and Grover have so but yeah they're mobbing they run out of gas um and yeah it looks like they're in at the edge of a river canyon so I think this might be the Colorado that we've officially pulled okay yeah that would make sense because it leads to the the Hoover Dam which I think is a piece of the Colorado. So they're standing by this river uh Grover sees a path um to get to the river and it's a pretty sheer path yeah the little goat path yeah he's like come on guys we can make it and then of course Dali is like if that's it yeah she got the height thing so Percy's a good friend he is he kind of diverts it he's like hey no let's just uh yeah what do you say let's just oh take the um oh further upstream yeah just walk it up below yeah it would be funny to see Grover just like goat in it down so come on guys he could probably leap yeah I bet he's nimble as a bimble so yeah they go about a half mile upriver they find this uh canoe rental shop yeah it just works out nice and damp it works out perfect so now they've got canoes yeah it's kind of just an abandoned spot they just leave a couple drachmas consider it's I owe you I got you on the canoes here's some goats so they gotta go upstream and they're like well how are we gonna do this of course purse is like yeah it's like if we're liquid is me it's me baby I am liquid yeah I am liquid uh Dolly kind of has a little side nine with Percy like dude thanks for getting me back there by the way totally totally covering um but yeah basically he's like dude I got this I'm good with water yeah yeah she's she's telling him to take Zoe so that he can talk to Zoe totally of course because Zoe's probably bombing pretty hard about this Bianca thing. Percy he's like a good guy to talk to he is yeah yeah if you're going through something he's a good guy to talk to see we branded both space so um so yeah he agrees to go with uh with Zoe he's like I got you I got you uh oh you want you yo me did call it one and a half a little one and a half so um anyways they get into their canoes uh they get into the river oh and then some niads show up oh nothing like some niads on the net a couple of niads so that's cool um it's a good spot to be in yeah Percy's like blah blah blah blah blah blah blah bit little stream big that's the right way to do it because it would be difficult to just canoe yeah but I mean with Percy just mizen mast anyone so but yeah the nayads happily agree they start pushing them up river Zoe hates nayads interesting oh gosh Zoe seems like they've got some beef her and the naiads watch they've never forgiven me.

Oh yes oh yeah but it didn't get into it yeah it's just like well but I think it does actually uh as we start to unfold through this conversation because what we're cruising up the river and then Percy kind of cracks it open first off about just Bianca because I feel like we don't touch base on that for just a little bit.

Yeah but I and that's what I think uh Thalia knew like let's get Percy on on the canoe they're gonna have a nice little kumba so she's you know she seems very downtrodden she feels pretty guilty about it she feels guilty about kind of pushing her putting her into those positions talking about this you know idea that she thought she would be the next lieutenant Bianca would truth truth um which Percy's like what yeah lieutenant Zundalini and just this whole nine of how she's like I've been leading the hunt for two thousand years mother French like things change I haven't she's still bumming hard I haven't grown any wiser yeah now Artemis is in danger bumming hard and that's the truth is like to lose a lady of the hunt and to have Artemis in danger right that's she's really going heavy yeah so yeah she's pretty she's being pretty hard on herself and then you know Percy's you know like talking about how like I should have should have gone should have insisted on going with Artemis. Yeah and Percy's like yo if if this beast got Artemis you think you would have stood any chance like truly there's nothing you could have done um and that kind of just like seals that deal with right because now we're kind of cruising along it's starting to get really higher up in the canyon walls it looks like we're getting even deeper into things right and yeah he first takes out riptide nothing like pulling out riptide it's like okay that's kind of where we're getting into some history here.

So they walk they head up towards the dam it's cold windy um quite the view yeah Dahlia's staying very far away from the rail oh yeah between the edges this that's a good idea go over trying to smell for hat oh no for monsters oh he's sniffing but yeah first he's like oh he smells monsters that is kind of because he was talking that like oh there's wind patterns that are whopping all over the place I think coming from multiple directions maybe I do maybe I don't yeah I don't know what I like so but we don't like it so now we're talking about snack bar what we got like Wednesday he he gives us a little time check right here so we only got two days until Wednesday solstice and we don't need any more monsters right we gotta keep going yeah we're we're time's ticking yeah time's ticking but yeah like you were saying snack bar classic demi bloods love this snack bar the snacks it drives their quests yeah it really does um Percy asks if she's been here before Thalia she said yes see the guardians which are those big bronze statues um and they were a gift from Athena dedicated to Zeus Athena a la Zeus um and yeah all the tourists are like rubbing their feet and I guess that's like a good luck thing is to rub the feet of the statue which I wonder I'm pretty sure I rub some feet yeah I've rubbed some statues before for good for good vibrations so but yeah um and even saying like the mortals don't even know why they rub they just rub they just rub but it is for Zeus and first is like oh do these statues have talks and that's where she kind of gets a little eye nine he just like maybe I came here maybe I didn't but Mother French they're just metal statues to me they don't do anything so they're like let's go find the oh yeah Zoe let's find the damn snack bar and then this starts on this whole tirade of saying damn yeah the damn damn snack barn the damn French fries damn restroom damn waterfowl damn t-shirt yeah and then that's when we get hit with that moo out of nowhere which it seems like only Percy and Grover hear it cow it's like what the moo moo? Yeah what the moo moo and uh you know everyone's like dude we don't hear anything yeah Zoe's definitely not hearing nothing and Percy's the one that's kind of like you guys you guys keep going I'm I'm gonna be right back. Yeah uh he doesn't say it but he wants to go check on that thing.

Yeah little moo moo moo moo little distant moo moo so he runs out goes over to look down into the lake and there she is Bessie the cow serpent cow water serpent I love Bessie Bessie's so cute. It looks like she's in distress yeah she's really trying to get Percy to follow her it seems is what he's gathering and he's like trying to find out how she got here he's like yo like you know she's really urging and he's like I can't like my friend's inside I gotta do this thing.

Yeah Bessie's freaking so Bessie tries one more time and then pretty much dips off. Yeah does a little moo moo flip yeah bloop flop bloop and he's like dude something's up it's like she was trying to warn me of something and then that's when he sees it just that's crickle crickle crickle skeletal rickle flickle dude we got skeletal warriors on deck they're coming in heavy so anytime those cats come in they just eke me dude yeah oh my gosh so kicking yeah because hey it's always interesting to think about what the mortals are seeing. Right exactly but they're seeing something they're seeing something that's freaking them out so he runs for the visitor center so at this point this is where he's more or less separated from his squad yeah they he sent so nobody else saw Bessie they all go inside and now we're crickle crackling around So yeah, these guys are mobbing through. He's running down the stairs. Um look, he's looking for the snack bar because that's where everyone's just ever going.

Skeletons are coming behind him, so he sees an elevator open, he runs into it.

He's able to kind of slink into an elevator without him. He's just packed in. What do we got? A tour guide and yeah, exactly.

As soon as it was like, as soon as it said it was a girl, I was like, oh god, I know who this is. Uh-huh. So interesting, she is immortal, but she can see the sword. Yeah. Um there was a lot of very interesting little what the fuck redhead. She's very red. Redhead, red nose. She got this maroon harvard sweater. Okay. She's on the red nine. Um she can definitely see the sword. Uh, she can see the lion fur of the Neemian lion, which even Percy's looking at it, he's like, it just it still looks like my jacket. Yep, yeah. But that's really interesting that she can see the fur.

Gazing right through the mist, and she's kind of just like full of questions herself, no doubt.

So then he kind of remembers how Thalia manipulated the mist. He's like, okay, maybe I can Jedi mind trick this girl. Yeah. He's like, You don't see a sword. It's just a pen. She's like, You idiot. Of course it's a sword.

And he's like, Who the what are you? Rachel Elizabeth Dare, baby. Answer my questions or not. Or am I gonna scream for security now? What did I tell you? So then he's got a mob because the skeletals are still after him. Uh-huh. Um, and she and I think he even sees them.

So then she tells him to get into the bathroom. Yeah, she gets in.

She's her in there. And then uh little sidebar about like, if I would have only known Rachel Elizabeth Dare standing outside later, that would seem cowardly to me. It's kind of like planting these little things, and that it saved his life. Yeah. Thank God for Rachel Elizabeth Dare.

Right. But uh, so yeah, she distracts them, kind of sends them off on a different way. Yeah. Um, and so they go right along, and then she gets him out, gives him the all-clear. Oh, you want Rachel. Um and she can definitely see that they're skeletons. So she's very interesting.

And then she asks who sh he is. He says, Percy, but then the skeletons just then turn around. They're hot on his trail, so he's off. He takes off. Percy gotta go.

So he makes it to the cafe. He finds his friends. We gotta go. They just got burritos. Um, and then that's when they see the skeletals coming in, so they gotta take off.

And um that's kind of like what do we do at this point? We are now almost darn near surrounded.

Surrounded. Go into the elevator, um, and then uh oh. Then, but then the elevator doors open and skeletal warriors come out. So now they are damn straight surrounded.

It's kind of like counting them all out. We got two here, we got three on the west, we got nine on Nevada, and then the ones that are chasing you, and then everyone except for the one that Bianca has. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Every warrior has now shown up just like clickle cleckle.

Um the skeletals are trying to aim their guns, but it's getting all clickle clogged with queso and rafied.

And uh so they're trying to take out skeletals. They all get they run downstairs while the fight's happening. Um, yeah.

And then uh And then they're kind of like, what do we do now? Because obviously the warriors are just now following them out.

They go towards the bronze statues, the skeletals are now surrounded them. They're covered in food. They're not happy.

So two per and we're taking off into the sky just like that. Honey Zeus. Honey Zeus. Yeah. That was kind of a cool, like just swoop us out. Cause I mean, at the end of the nine, these skeletal relatives can't be killed. And they got we we ain't got time to deal with skeletal relatives anyways. So I wonder how far these little winged uh tin and rinse tin are gonna take them.

Found out kind of why she's a little bit husky sometimes. Why she hates boys. Yeah. And uh got touched, got to meet a new friend, potentially. I mean, Rachel Elizabeth there saved Percy's life.
