But I think it's like Percy and Thalia in one, Zoe and Grove in the other. So we chillin' up in the sky. What looks like we are flying over the Sierras.

Anyways, he's asking her what she means by follow the smell. And so, of course, I will show thee too. So we go into a goodwill, we get uh Percy suited up like a homeless man, essentially. Deuced out in the nine. Which, yeah, he definitely looks the baggy as jeans, bright red sneakers, rainbow, oh yeah, floppy rainbow hat. So he's gonna blend in with the homeless people down at the waterfront. Um, so they're going down to the waterfront, searching the docks. Zoe sees a bunch of homeless guys, so she's like, Alright, go somewhere there. He's, you know, he's the clues that he has, okay. So he never travels far from the water. He likes to sun himself during the day. Okay.

And like, how will I know which one is him? And the thing is, he will smell different.

Yeah, he's kind of passing through them, really just smelling them like they kind of smell bad, but no one smells different, like nothing that he would classify as different.

He sees that guy that's still hollering about that thing about landing from Mars. So it's like, okay, this is a good scene. It's a good scene. Some grimy dudes, some people saying beat it. He starts to kind of like stumble through all the things. There's flamingos with plastic bags, but then he does come up to this guy. There's a patch of sunlight.

Yeah. And so he's trying to kind of get this guy's attention. Um. And then all of a sudden, because he's trying to figure out, like, okay, I'm pretty sure there's a guy I gotta like grab him. And before he can do anything, the guy just screams and then grabs Purse instead, and pretty much just starts to like wrestle purse while screaming for help.

So I think Purse does initially jump Santa. It says that, like, but I jumped, yeah.

But yeah, he doesn't even get the Santa.

Yeah, he seems to like because he looks like he's kind of like just passed out originally. Yeah, so minor details, but yeah, they go into this like wrestling or glecling.

Yeah. Well, yeah, Santa's pretty much just got Pursed the whole time and is just kind of like calling for help. Purses, you know, finally tells him, like, I'm looking for information. Um, and so he's not complying, he's thrashing them around, goes towards the edge of the pier, and so then that's when Purse is like, okay, water plays the reverse psychology.

Which, of course, Nerius is like, body slam into the water.

But then so does Nereus, and he's got these shape-shifting powers.

Perks and uh and so they're going down through, and then it turns into a killer whale. Oh, that comes shooting out of the water, but Perse is still holding on to the door full.

Dude, talk about like a sea world moment with purse. Yeah. What is he even like hollering at his all the onlookers, like, yeah, we do this every day in San Francisco?

And then back into the water, turns into an eel. And uh so purse is trying to tie him into a knot. He changes back into human form.

He does kind of drop it on Narius because he's like, Why won't you drown?

You know, pick your question wisely. So now Purse has got to figure out how to ask, because he wants to ask about Annabh, he wants to ask about Artemis, and he also wants to ask about this beast. And so ultimately he decides he can't ask about Abeth, because Abeth would not forgive him for doing that. No. Because we know Abeth. She's too logical.

Right. And then he could ask about Artemis, but ultimately the monster. He knows, Chiron's told him, that finding the monster will lead him to Yes, exactly. Um according to the prophecy, too, I think, right? Shows the trail. So he decides to ask about the monster that could bring it into the guys.

And then, yeah, Zoe's like, okay, wait, I know this story. And, you know, essentially tells us that, you know, from thousands of years ago, the War of the Titans. Um, this is like this beast that 3,000 years. Yeah.

Um what you sacrifice the beast and then you gain the power to be able to defeat the gods.

Right. Yeah, sacrifice the beast and sacrifice his entrails to fire to gain the power to destroy the cells. Just this idea of because Percy's like, what but he's too cute. Like, how could this be the thing that destroys Olympus? And she's kind of going on this nine of like the power of killing innocence. Like, there is a lot of power in killing something that is completely innocent.

And so that seems to be the thing that uh, you know, this creature has is it's so innocent that to kill it and sacrifice it would give you power to overthrow the gods.

Um and it's kind of interesting how uh Thalia is kind of almost you can tell she's enticed by this whole concept of oh, unlimited power, oh the power to destroy the gods.

Uh-huh. Well, Zoe gets into that story of it happened before the cow did get sacrificed, or Ophio Taurus. Zeus sent the eagle, snatched the entrails right before they were able to be tossed into the fire. It's kind of a cool nine. Let me think about it. Not bad.

So it prevented it then, but now Ophia Taurus is reborn.

Yep, yep. And the father's weaken, you know. Yeah, the power is there. Percy is obviously like, let's see.

Because yeah, in the beginning, he kind of gives us like a little bit of a diatribe about himself and like his past, how much he's done to get here, and how he's now gonna because okay, so now he wants the beast. Oh yeah, because he's been tasked by the general to find the beast, right? Is that ultimately I think that is the nine from what I remember earlier is to find the beast to bring to the general so that they can overthrow the ghost.

Yeah, I'm just trying to remember from the times that we've seen the general and Dr. Thorne before, how like Thorne is always like, Oh, you do not know the general.

He's attacking this beast as well. And so, because it seems like the general is also attracting this beast, which is why he captured Artemis. Because the beast is hunting Artemis. Uh and and or Artemis is hunting the beast.

And maybe uh because maybe Artemis's plan is to like secure the beast.

Because you know, the power to overthrow the gods, Artemis is already. So maybe her job, and that's why she disappeared so quick without saying shizzle. Yeah. But then it became kind of this mad scramble to be like who can get to it first.

And and that's what's so f cute that Bessie knew Percy would be the protector.

So um so now we've got this battle, they're all kind of gearing up um to fight against Thorne.

You know, that's some and that is some powerful schniz. And then it's talking about that, like, oh shoot, it's gonna be Dahlia's birthday in two days. She's gonna be turning 16. If she's coming in hot with that power, maybe she's the child of the prophecy.

Yeah. That starts to tangle around all the guards. Lo Zoe starts to shoot fart bombs. So now it's battle on. We've got a full-blown battle going on. So Purs is like. Kind of just like snap out of it. Yeah.

That's what school's like. Sometimes, you know, we think Grover, I always think of it more as a joke step, but he's got the ball. Dude, he does. He's an extremely important support role. No doubt. And then, yeah, they just get the cloud fart arrows, and then they pretty much just run off.

Yeah, he tells Grover to tell Bessie to dive and just pretty much stay safe. And the cow. Yeah.

Yeah, you can tell she's in a daze. So what they like, just run off, scramble to the edge of the pier. They're kind of hiding behind this little kiosk, silver crystals and stuff, trying to formulate a plan. Like, because honestly, what do they do at this point? They know they have this sacrificial thing, but they still don't really have many answers. Right. But they're kind of thinking, okay, well, first off, they're like saying, Percy, you gotta just go to the sea, yeah.

And of course, half bloods can do what they can do, but and then Mr. D kind of drops in that, like, well, you could just ask.

And then he's out, eats his pizza. Oh yeah, and that's when person's like, hey, you call me by my real name this time, though. Yeah, it's the first time. And he's like, Absolutely not, Peter Johnson, get the hell out of him. And uh so yeah, everyone's still kind of going crazy, so they have enough time to make their escape. Um, and then he asks, you know, of course, he turns to Zoe and like, so you know where to go. And that's when Zoe points off to that mountain.

I mean, we have the beast, so the beast should lead us to Artemisian, which should lead us to Abeth, which should lead us to Victory. Victory and beyond. So it seems like we're getting closer to a resolution.
