So I guess we saw uh Janus last chapter and it was like discovering, like, oh, we're just trying to get to older parts of the Harrow is like, oh, you want to go see that one farmer or something like that. Mentioned like a person we're seeking out, but then it pretty much like opened us right, uh, we're running away from some snarling, garling, kadarling that's deep in the corridors.

Nothing there's nothing cool about being put in a cage, let me tell you about it. But sure enough, they they trap themselves. They're in this bar to bar, something like cells in the ceilings.

And um that's when they hear this like oh yeah, crying. Oh yeah, that's what they see. It's like all the different cells.

You can just see it's kind of like an old courtyard, they're definitely in a prison of sorts right now.

And then yeah, there's that sound, pretty much like something sobbing, and then this other sound of like this raspy voice muttering about it.

Exactly. And then Tyson's the one that really picks up on it because Percy's like, what the hickle? And Tyson's eyes get all wide, like, it can't be. And then what? He just easily bends open the bars, and then they're kind of walking down.

Uh-huh. Grover's terrified, apparently. He's like trying to call him back.

It's pretty gnarly, yeah. So basically, like a centaur woman, but it instead it's like a dragon lower half.

So it's almost like her midsection with this uh bubbling conglomerate of wolves and lions and a bear, ever-changing creatures. It's like a half-form, it's almost like the monster of platypus of sorts.

Grover is like telling us to get down, and we can hear this snake dragon lady like saying something in this rumbling, archaic, nasty ass language. And it's like, what is this? Yeah, it's like he's mimicking, yeah, exactly. He's just transmitting it. So creepy. Annabeth hates that because I mean obviously Abeth's past with cyclopsies.

Um but yeah, and then it kind of breaks that down like that trance he goes into, and then what but yeah, it sounds like this uh this creature is torturing some other creature, kind of mocking it. I'll enjoy your pain. Yeah. Um, if you thought your prison was unbearable, you have yet to feel true torment, think of this till the return.

Interesting, and then she like blips out, walks away. Oh, and then straight up flies off.

And then yeah, Tyson calls out the name worst nightmare of a cyclops, Compe. Oh my gosh. Apparently, this is like a beast of old little baby cyclops' nursery rhymes. She she was the jailer in the bad years. So apparently, back when the Titans were still ruling and they had um some of Gaia and Oranus's earlier children, like the Cyclopes. What is that, that? Hecatonkirs? Hecatonkirs? Yeah, the Hec. The Hundred Handed Ones.

Yeah, it's like the older bros of Cyclopses that they kept all of them in prisons, but then Zeus came around, killed Campe, freed the Cyclopses and the Hundred Hands handed ones, and gets them to fight in the war.

But now Campe's back. Because these titans are getting faultful, you know.

So we get to the cell. Um, and yeah, pretty much like purses like this kind of weird because he looks human-sized, he's pale skin. Um, he looks like you know, he's got this loincloth, skin the color of milk, uh, dirty toenails, eight toes on each foot. Um, and then that top half where it's literally just like rows, back of hands.

Yeah, is what it seems like. Yeah, straight up arms, just all like in rows across his entire torso.

Kind of effed up teeth, a crooked nose, and these like deep brown eyes.

And that's like Percy's even like, what the rickle dick was that? Abeth explains the hundred-hand ones have 50 different faces.

So strong and like how he's like throwing that uh whole ice cream stand, dipping dots stand. Because at first they're kind of like bah bah. He's he's parrying that like morphing body thing, is roaring to the lion thing, becomes a lion belt.

Um, and so that's when Purse pushes everyone in. Compe is raising her sword. Oh, and that's when he activates the Tyson shield and just husks it straight straight into Compe's face.

Because it's like Tyson was looking like he was not gonna be able to probably make it. Yes, but that's a good use of the shield. Exactly. That's what I was saying, you know.

And you know, we're demiblozzed, we figure it out as we go along. And now we got a hundred-handed one on our side. This Briaris character. Interesting. I feel like he's got like a lot of uh well, obviously um Tyson be talking him up till nine to nine, like there's a lot of hidden potential within this crater. Yeah, so it'll be interesting, but for the time being, he's obviously just we'll work that out. Demi bloods have a natural ability of like uplifting each other and one another. So I'm excited about it. That was like an interesting, I think I don't know if that chapter was super long. It was like a little quick tape, but good. Mm-hmm. That's I feel like this the chapter or this whole book is gonna be full of those little like yeah. And then we're back in the lab. Yeah. And then we're back in the labyrinth. Maybe we're picking up characters where we're I mean hopefully everybody I like, let's keep Briaris around, you know?
