SPEAKER_02

International talk, give her shooter DJ the number and have Libyanca in the building. Yes. Woo! Hey baby.

SPEAKER_03

Lavina flesh. Lavina flash in the entire room.

SPEAKER_02

Now he's talking about it. Like hello.

SPEAKER_03

What up, girlfriend? Yeah, bro. I'm chilling. Looking a lot better, feeling better, doing better, you know?

SPEAKER_02

Nah, I never. I don't know if you always look better. I think you always look great in general.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, but now I do grita. Grita! Yes.

SPEAKER_02

I get I get I get it. Sometimes we need a little refresh.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, 100%.

SPEAKER_02

Like for me, I started going back to the gym heavy. So I feel like that's like my little activity now, going to the gym.

SPEAKER_03

I'm with you because I've been obsessed with like Pilates and Hotworks. We're working out in the sauna. What do I get out of Pilates? Like, I I don't see like let me break it down. First of all, I'm getting abs. Okay. I'm on my way to getting abs, super toned. Everything is slipping, slimming down. Maybe I have. Body calm.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe I asked the question wrong.

SPEAKER_03

Big Nash, small waist, toned arms, good looking guy. Do I need to keep going? Do I need to keep going?

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_02

What you gotta mommy makeover?

SPEAKER_03

I'm getting everything out of it. I'm getting everything out of it. I told my man, I'm like, let's go to a Pilates class. He was like, no, I don't want to have a fat ass. I'm like, it's not gonna give you a fat ass, but you know, let's go. So we end up in there. He goes through the class, he's like, mmm, I want to do this like once a month. I'm like, yeah, exactly. How many times do you go? Three times a week. And if I am able to, damn near every day.

SPEAKER_02

So so how long is the Pilates?

SPEAKER_03

It's like 40 minutes. 40 minutes and then like 10 minutes of structural.

SPEAKER_02

So it's like a full is it like a full body workout? Full body. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Oh it's team. A lot of men in that class, like Pilates? A lot of men do it. Rarely. But I do see them in there every now and then.

SPEAKER_02

So it's not like a yoga thing, like people do yoga.

SPEAKER_03

Nah, it's definitely not yoga. It's not yoga. Yoga does not have you sweating the way Pilates got me sweating, bro. Mm mm.

SPEAKER_02

So, like, you know, Jim, like you, so so for me, you know, we would chest one day, arm one day, legs one day, and just rotate just like that. Yeah. But you was like one whole body.

SPEAKER_03

It's whole body. You're more bad. It's whole body. And sometimes they'll focus more on abs, sometimes focus more on the legs. Three times a week. Yeah, bro.

SPEAKER_02

Lucky gave me two. Yeah, it was a whole body workout. Yeah. You can't do nothing after that.

SPEAKER_03

I'll go to the sauna after that.

SPEAKER_02

Sauna's a good move.

SPEAKER_03

You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Sauna's a good move. I could definitely do a nice nice, but I can't let 30 minutes to me is good enough.

SPEAKER_03

Right. Like, let's not do too much.

SPEAKER_02

Like, I ain't got that much in the docs.

SPEAKER_03

So, what do you be doing? You be lifting?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I'm listening to like just strength training. Like creating back a better physique.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, okay.

SPEAKER_02

I think that's more. That's that's what really brings you guys and helps you. Yeah. Like I got this new thing where I'm getting up early in the morning going to the gym. Nice. You know what I'm saying? That's a good way to start your day. Yeah, it is, it is. Like, but I OD sometimes I realize like, why am I up six o'clock in the morning? And then after that, the problem when you get up early, your day finishes fast. So it's like at one o'clock, I'm like, what? I'm going to bed.

SPEAKER_03

Right, be ready to sleep quick. I told you, bro. For ready to go about bed.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, 100%. Yo. But but for you now, I'm guessing like your workout, do sauna, probably take a nap and then start writing music all over again or something.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I write when the music calls. Meaning when I start hearing stuff in my head, whatever I'm doing, I'm stopping. I'm getting on my phone, voice memo. When I get home, I can, you know, finish it up and whatnot.

SPEAKER_02

But it's not a force thing for you. No. It's like a dust.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, no, I'll be on the phone with my mom, and then I'm hearing something. I'm like, hold on, mom, I'll call you back. And then I go record what I need to record, call her back.

SPEAKER_02

It was like a little while ago, you was humming the users, and I'm like, what are you doing? Yeah, what are you doing?

SPEAKER_00

You're like, is it something new?

SPEAKER_02

Like, nah, just some random shit.

SPEAKER_03

She was like, man, creativity is constant, bro. Constant, constant.

SPEAKER_02

So basically, you just walk in and then a certain breeze hits you. And it's a song.

SPEAKER_03

Sometimes, it be that quick, bro. I'm not gonna lie. Sometimes, bro, I'll just be sitting, you know, you just look at something and you get like the whole song.

SPEAKER_02

You're like, damn, this is a hit, bro.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, bro, a hundred percent. Anything can inspire a song. It'd be like that, bro. It'd be like that.

SPEAKER_02

Have you worked with any other producers lately, or just everything has been you?

SPEAKER_03

Nah, uh, my production team is in-house now. So I haven't really been working with anyone outside of the producers that are like tight end with me. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So how many producers do you have in the team?

SPEAKER_03

Like three, four.

SPEAKER_02

That's a lot. That's a good thing.

SPEAKER_03

Five. I think three three is fine. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But like so as as a production team now, is it like this one kind of like has an army sound, this one has a sound, yes.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, like they are all very very, very important because we need that diversity to be able to create music from different places, especially since I'm I'm so multifaceted. Yes, so it's very, very important. We definitely have one that is more like the uh RB soul kind of vibe, and he's very bluesy. Like we will just sit down, he starts on the piano and he's just playing stuff, and I just start singing like we just be going crazy, and we haven't even started working. Bluesy, yeah, bluesy, bro. She's making a word tickling you.

SPEAKER_02

So we got the RB sounding. Yes, so who who gives you the who gives you the the the the afro sound?

SPEAKER_03

Is that you or basically all of them can come together and do that as well. So each of them can do more than one genre. So then, you know, whoever's available to link, we link, we get things done. Makes sense, and yeah, so sometimes I'll come with a song I've written on a guitar and I want to just expand on it, and they'll just work with me and finish that up. Or um I'll just hear something with nothing to it, and I'm like, okay, guys, well, so here's my voice. Let's figure something out. Let's figure something out. Um, most of the time they'll throw beats at me and I'm like, mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm, okay, cool. Get me on the mic, I get on the mic, I spit something out, and they're like, mmm, I'm like, mmm, yeah. This is gonna be part of the vault for sure. A bunch of mmm. Yeah, yeah, yeah. A whole bunch of mmms in the studio, man.

SPEAKER_02

But that's always a good vibe where you have people that understand who you are and and know, you know, what's your capability.

SPEAKER_03

Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Because I feel like a lot of time people just do songs like, yeah, you need to just they don't know how to bring you like out. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? They need to bring that in a thing.

SPEAKER_03

And for me, it's like I gotta be comfortable around you. I have to trust your character. Like, I gotta be cool with you. You know what I'm saying? Like, you can't come up in there killing the vibe. You kill the vibe, you're gonna turn around. I've already done an Irish goodbye, bro. I'm already where's Libby? Libby is locked up in the room, and then Metro gonna come be like, baby, what's going on? I'm like, yeah, wrap it up.

SPEAKER_02

Wrap it up. Wrap it up. We'll try next time. Okay, guys. So we're gonna. Yeah, yeah, we're gonna wrap it up, bro. Okay, guys, we're gonna everybody just goo.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, we'll try again tomorrow. The vibes gotta be right because that's where the best music comes from, you know.

SPEAKER_02

I'm figuring the vibes was right when you did the um the song you were just promoting the other day.

SPEAKER_03

I believe in better or let me be in your arms. Don't say sorry. Sorry. Saksamotos? Yeah, bro. I like that song. Yeah, bro. I like it.

SPEAKER_02

Like a a real, like clean energy vibe. Yes, yes. I'm not gonna-you saying it though.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, bro. I I definitely was because it's like I wrote that kind of like imagining myself, because I always see stuff when I'm writing, and I just saw myself just running with the big bag of clothes, and I'm just like, I'm out of here. I'm gonna go find a better life. F y'all. I'm gonna go figure out what I need to because I believe that you know there is better out there for me. So, and um, fans were like, Yeah, so when you're gonna drop it, I I tease that, drop something else. They're like, Okay, girl, so where is sex and it's coming? It's coming because the team, oh my god, bro. I'm also sorry for my team sometimes because they be dealing with me. I I was like, oh yeah, I like this song, and then I ended up not liking it, and I was just like, I don't know if I want to drop it. So we're like, girl, you already teased it.

SPEAKER_02

Teaser, you see that I love that song.

SPEAKER_03

I know, I know. It's a love-hate relationship with it, but it is gonna drop. It will drop. I don't have a choice.

SPEAKER_02

Listen, when when you have a few of us that like songs, drop the song.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I gotta respect y'all. It drops it.

SPEAKER_02

It's like don't certain songs do not drop it. Don't gatekeep it. Yeah, you keep facts. How you gatekeeping your own song? Yo, I never seen this before. Have anybody seen that book? A person gatekeep their own song?

SPEAKER_03

Just with only a few, but no, sex and come out for sure. It will.

SPEAKER_02

I bet you somebody asked you with your concert. You better sing it.

SPEAKER_00

You better sing it. I better sing it.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god. Yo, I'm sure you got in your phone. When you got a chance, just send it to me. At least you let me hear the full song.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, the full song. I got you, bro.

SPEAKER_02

I keep on hearing clip, clip, clip, clip, clip.

SPEAKER_03

Like, yeah, it's like I want the full thing. I got you.

SPEAKER_02

I'll send it to you after you're getting on me right now. Like, but like, you know, like you, you, you, you know, I rock with y'all. Like, certain times you got a song, like, give me the song. Let me do what I do, bro.

SPEAKER_03

Nah, 100%, bro.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you can't be like that sometimes. Yeah. So you got the show in SOBs. And I see a something else coming up. I think. Was it like?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it's uh um show in Duluth, Minnesota.

SPEAKER_02

I see like some Dantal and Reggae.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah. I think Protege. Yeah, that's the one in Duluth, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Protege. Yeah, I've seen I was like, is she a Rasta now? I'm trying to figure out what's going on.

SPEAKER_03

Every now and then, you know, just Rastafara.

SPEAKER_02

I was like, maybe Proto.

SPEAKER_03

Bro, Jesse Royal. Yeah, and speaking of, I have I have been in the stew, you know, with some reggae.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. Come, we bring you, come. We welcome you.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yes, you have to welcome me, bro.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, what you know, tell them. We put some we got one, two, three. Let's go.

SPEAKER_03

Exactly. We family.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so so what what's what's our so what's the main project right now?

SPEAKER_03

Right now, I have You know we're in July, right? Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_02

Musically, you're supposed to have a song right here, bubbling for us right now, right?

SPEAKER_03

It is, I promise. It's literally dropping the end of this month, right? It's dropping the end of this month. It's called I Know. It is literally the song that everyone has been so hype about and can't wait for it to drop. Everyone that listens to it is like, yo, this is getting out of the water. So um yeah, and it's featuring my artists. Oh, you have an artist. I do, I do, I do. His name is Z Boy, and he is Ghanaian. Yes. Z Boy is so cold. Yes, welcome to the family, bro.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so so is he uh coming to the show with you?

SPEAKER_03

No, no, no. He is in Ghana, so um, I'll be leaving to Ghana soon, and we're gonna be doing a whole lot of work together and getting stuff, you know what I'm saying? Until we can get his visa and everything together for him to be able to come through.

SPEAKER_02

Ghana's kind of like lenient with artists. Yes, and if he was in Nigeria, then you might have a lot of things.

SPEAKER_03

It would have yeah, a little bit tougher for sure.

SPEAKER_02

It might cost you a lot.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

We can't make it happen, you know. So, okay, but um, not back to Saks, but uh when we're dropping that one. Like, is that after this record you're dropping in July? Maybe August, maybe September. I I think we should drop something.

SPEAKER_03

He's not letting this go.

SPEAKER_02

I think we're gonna have a nice meeting after this and we talk about it. Nori, Nori, you'll kill me. We all have talking a while. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, let's go. Okay, fine, fine. Because this is listen. This quarter right now is July. You gotta have a song right now because something's over.

SPEAKER_03

It might end up on my album that I am currently building. Oh, okay, you know, so it's gonna be all wrapped up and ready to turn in by the end of this year, you know, when we're just gonna get everything rolling. So if you don't hear it as a single, it's gonna be on the album. They're not gonna let me not drop it.

SPEAKER_02

Well, that should be another single leading on the album, just saying.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, one thing you're gonna do is tell me you're mine. And I love that. I do. I do, I appreciate it. That's real love, bro. That's real love. That's real love, bro.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, my gee, you know that from day one. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? And the vibe has always been good with you guys, so it's it's it's always good to support. Yes, you know what I'm saying? Like it's just every time you get along with people, so when you actually get along with some people and you see that they have your genuine vibe with you, you just yeah, you cherish it, bro. Yeah, you cherish it. You never gotta speak to them. Yeah, when you speak to them, they oh, what up?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yo! It's always there, the vibe's always there.

SPEAKER_02

Man, so so it's like that's why I always like whenever you're in town, I say, yo, let's sit down, let's talk. Let's chop it up, let's do something. You know, the fans want to talk to you beside TikTok. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? Like the TikTok queens.

SPEAKER_03

Chronically on TikTok. I love that app. I do. I love it.

SPEAKER_02

Like I told you before, get rid of Instagram.

SPEAKER_03

Right. Yeah, I literally be telling them, like, I don't, I don't even like Instagram. Like, what's what's even going on there for real?

SPEAKER_02

Like, what's going on there for real? TikTok mama.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But your fans, they love it, so you gotta you gotta just keep on going. I don't I don't see nothing that they don't embrace with you when you put on TikTok. Yeah, they're like they love it all. I just bought toilet tissue.

SPEAKER_00

They be like, hey, toilet tissue Big Mummy bought toilet tissue.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Where did she get a toilet tissue from? I love them. I do love them too. So I know, I know we're getting ready for the show. Yeah. And um, we got the music dropping, right? Yeah, and we said working on the album.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. We heard everything she said so far. Yes. So when I text and say, yo, what where is this? Right. And nobody answered me. I'm gonna go on TikTok.

SPEAKER_00

We're gonna be in trouble.

SPEAKER_02

I'm gonna go on TikTok and find you.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god, no. I don't want to be in trouble with you, Nori. I don't want to be in trouble.

SPEAKER_02

I appreciate you. I appreciate you. So, you know, good luck on the show. I know the show's gonna be a vibe. Thanks. We're all gonna be there. So we're gonna have some retakes of the show. Yeah, you're gonna see it all over TikTok, but I'm Instagram. You're gonna see it on my Instagram page. Yeah, so you know the support is always, and I appreciate you. Right? Libby's here, DJ Nori, International Talk. I appreciate you, mama. Thank you. Peace out, child.
