The Lead Quietly Podcast

64. Communication is a vital leadership skill (and I bet you have it already)

Jennifer Boyle, Leadership & Communications Season 3 Episode 64

In this episode, I talk about the value that our "softer" skills have in leadership roles, and sometimes we downplay how useful these skills are. When considering stepping into a leadership role, it's easy to think "but I'm not outspoken, I can't command a room" and yet you are missing some of the vital skills that you likely already possess as necessary for leadership too.

Skills such as:

  • listening
  • perceiving
  • sensing
  • organizing
  • writing clearly

The takeaway in this episode is to take another look at the skills you do possess and start to see them in a new (leadership-worthy) light. I hope you enjoy!
