The Lead Quietly Podcast

89. Two things you need to focus on to be a better (quiet) leader

Jennifer Boyle, Leadership & Communications Season 3 Episode 89

After a month break from the podcast, I'm back with new episodes. Thank you so much for hanging in there and listening to the show. In this episode, I talk about the 2 essential things to focus on as a quiet leader in order to be more successful and feel stronger as a leader.

1. Creating a vision

2. Radical self-awareness and connection to self

I go deep into each one and how you can work on strengthening them to become a better leader, whether it's for others or just for yourself. You can be a quiet leader in your own life, just for you and use this approach to get you closer to the dream life and goals you have for yourself.

Reflection Questions for You:

  • Do you have a clear vision for the area of your life you're focused on (career, money, relationships, personal goals)?
    • If not, how can you start creating one? Begin by brainstorming freely: "What I really want is..." or "If anything were possible, I would..."
  • How strong is your current connection with yourself? Do you take even 5 minutes of quiet time daily to connect inward?
    • If not, where will you fit that in starting tomorrow?
  • What are 3-5 of your natural tendencies (e.g., listening, perceptive, organized)?
    • How can you leverage these innate strengths to be more effective in your goals?

Thank you for listening and see you next week!

The Lead Quietly Podcast is currently on a break. Thanks for listening!
