As Within, So Without: Healing the Spiral of Self-Rejection
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this deeply intimate transmission, we unravel the spiral of self-rejection that lives beneath the surface of so many spiritual journeys — especially for those who’ve lived in high-stress or trauma-heavy environments.
What if the body isn’t just reacting… but participating?
What if your beliefs aren’t just shaping your perspective… but manifesting through your muscles, your breath, your energy?
We explore the deeper alchemy of the Hermetic Law As Within, So Without — and how the psyche, body, and soul all collaborate (often unconsciously) to create the very experiences we fear most.
You’ll hear:
• why the body “pre-feels” rejection before it happens
• how negative patterns are actually invitations for reclamation
• the truth about self-rejection as both a trauma response and a mystical training
• how to practice awareness — not perfection — as the path back to sovereignty
This episode includes a powerful 5-minute guided somatic journey at the end — to support your return to the body, the soul, and the Self that never left.
⚜️ Let this spiral not pull you under — but pull you home.

I am your guide, Toriea, and this is a spiritual world. Season 2, episode 11, as within, so without the spiral of self rejection. As we begin to pivot slowly, intentionally, into a new year, we also begin a sacred spiral into a new season of this space. These final six episodes of season 2 will serve as both a closing and a preparation. A way to honor what we've opened while laying the energetic stones for what's to come. Season 3 will return with the lunar new year in January, 2026, and it will be deeply rooted in mystic psychology, the hermetic and alchemical truths of the psyche, the body, and the soul, as I have personally experienced them on my journey. And before we go there, we pause here to reflect on what's already been seated. We are one. Every teaching is one. One is everything. In this episode today, we begin to close out season 2 by returning to the hermetic principles and how they aren't just abstract truths. And instead, are also healing codes that live inside the psyche, amplifying the oneness of everything in existence. Today, we're going to start with as within, so without, as above, so below. This is where the psyche projects and the body echoes, and the universe source, the mind of the all, creates, and we mirror it. Before the patterns, before the pain, before the spiral ever began, there was only source, infinite, unified, whole. Also, unexperienced, and so, source made a sacred choice. To separate itself into an infinite number of fractals, to forget itself on purpose, to become the one who remembers, not from above, from within. Because remembrance is richer than knowing. Because reunion is more beautiful than never being apart. Because love, when rediscovered, becomes devotion. This is the design behind it all. Catch that pun there, the all. Source separated itself so that we as humans would learn how to reunite, and not just once. Over and over and over again, in billions of sacredly personal ways. Through heartbreak, healing, silence, sensation, trauma. Encycles of trauma and awakening, despair and divine knowing. This is what it means to be human, to forget that you are the divine, so that you can remember yourself more fully than oneness ever allowed for. As within, so without, isn't just a mystical law. It's the echo of this original contract. That we would live in separation only to find our way home, again and again, in new and intimate forms. We've been taught that the body simply reacts, that it responds to stress, to pain, to rejection, after it happens. However, what if that's only part of the story? What if the body doesn't just respond? What if it prepares? What if it co-creates? What if the moment the ego attaches itself to a belief? I'm too much. They're going to leave. This always happens to me. The body and its ancient intelligence begins casting the spell before the event ever occurs. It tightens, it coils, it closes. It begins to orchestrate the environment, the mind is anticipating. Not because the body is broken, but because it's devoted to keeping you safe, even from the unknown. And it's also a devotion of creating, the devotion to creating, to understanding its role in creation. So the body then begins to reiterate and shift into the frequency that the ego chose to perpetuate. It becomes the amplifier, matching the mind's narrative and preparation for what it believes is coming. So your day-to-day actions from the moment that you choose that negative belief system become aligned to the creation of that belief system. Because manifestation requires coherence. The mind and body must agree on the story to make it real. And when you've lived years in high stress, high trauma spaces, this becomes autopilot. Your body no longer waits for threat. It assumes it. It learns to pre-feel the abandonment. It prepares for rejection, even when you are the one initiating it. And here's the painful part, most of us don't realize. The whole "I reject myself so I can survive what I believe is inevitable" is definitely a baseline programming throughout humanity currently. But what we often don't see until much later on in our healing journey is that this belief may just be the tip of the iceberg. And it may not even begin with the traumas that we think it begins with. It may begin with something far more ancient. It may begin with the belief "I reject myself because I believe my soul has rejected me" or abandoned me. Or "I have forgotten my own sovereignty and I blame my soul for leaving me." This is a conscious at first. It leaves deep, deep, deep in the body, in the absence, in the silence, in the unknowing of our sovereignty. And because we don't know how to name that disconnection initially, we project it. The ego in all of its sacred, aching logic decides, "If the soul won't stay, I won't either." And this is sometimes reiterated over and over and over again based on the type of upbringing that we have experienced. Were we abandoned? More than we were made to feel wanted and secure? However, when we dig deep enough, the true wound is always about us internally and what we have ultimately experienced within ourselves. This is the true wound beneath the spiral, maybe even the base of the spiral's birth. The "I'm not enough" because the divine within me went quiet and I mistook it for abandonment. But then you begin to awaken. You become conscious of all of these different loops. You start noticing when you're about to close, shrink, defend, or betray yourself little by little. And your higher self, in all her divine sass, or his, doesn't gently hold your hand and whisper affirmations. Your divine sass kicks the fucking door down like "Bish, you want transformation? You wanted truth? Then here it is." Another moment to choose differently. Another loop to intercept. Another pain, you get to meet with power, so buckle up and enjoy the ride. And this is also why it can become extremely exhausting. However, this is the moment the soul becomes the architect, not the audience. This is the moment where your higher self and your ego start to bridge together, to teach each other. The ego to teach the higher self and the soul, this is what I've become, help me become undone. And the higher self and the soul, learning from this human experience, how do we evolve? How do we expand into the healing journey of sovereignty and ascension? You're no longer blindly playing the pattern out. You're instead working it. And yet, at times, I know just as much as you do that we still reject ourselves. However, it's no longer a collapse, it's instead a practice. And when I say practice, I don't mean we're practicing to become good at it. No, we're practicing to unveil each microscopic spectre of it. To come out of it, right? We become champions in different ways. Imagine it rising from the bottom of a pool. You don't just teleport from drowning to dry. You come up inch by inch, your eyes, your breath, your throat until your full body finally emerges. That's what awareness feels like. Every time you feel the urge to abandon yourself and you stay one second longer. Every time you speak truth instead of manipulation out of fear, every time that you feel the sting of rejection and you don't make it mean that you are the problem or that you are unlovable, you are inching your way back out of the water. You are building new muscles within you. You are reprogramming your nervous system to understand that rejection doesn't mean danger. That truth doesn't mean punishment and that safety can exist even in the presence of pain. Because ultimately, once we become aware that we are projecting and creating experiences of rejection, we're going to stay with this example. We sometimes have to re-experience rejection 100 more times to develop these new muscles, right? Once we have one circumstance of rejection, we'll solidify a new boundary and another circumstance of rejection will solidify how to speak our truth and another we'll learn how to self-care and nurture ourselves. We'll learn how to feel rejection and not shun it or shame it or try to bury it or resent it. All of these different elements, we have to pull in and combine all of these alchemical ingredients to move completely out of rejection. And it doesn't mean that down the road you're never going to experience rejection, but you become awakened to the concept that you choose rejection. Sometimes you choose rejection because you need that growth or because your higher self knows that that rejection is going to lead you where you need to be. However, the first movements are understanding that safety can exist even in the presence of pain. We often speak of the psyche as something to fix, right? As if it's broken glass that we keep stepping on or that we're allowing others to step on. But what if the psyche isn't a wound? What if it's a portal? Because the psyche is the soul, cloaked in form. It is your incarnated intelligence, the voice of your divine self speaking through memory, belief and sensation. And this can be ancestral, karmic, universal, galactic. So when we say the psyche projects, what we're really saying is the soul offers an experience. Filtered through your nervous system, shaped by the blueprint you agreed to, echoed by the collective you were born into. Each spiral is not just a trauma loop. It's the soul designing an initiation. Each contraction is not just a reaction. It's the body's preparation for what the soul is asking to alchemize. This doesn't mean you chose pain as punishment. It means you came here to transcend it, to be the one who interrupts it, to become a living example of what happens when the soul reclaims its sovereignty and stops projecting from wounding and starts projecting from wisdom. Where you realize that pain is an alchemical compound to be used to the benefit of your alchemical transmutation, just as much as pleasure is. Because you are not just reacting to life. You are participating in the choreography of your very own evolution. And when that lands, you stop trying to escape the spiral. And instead, you start working with it. You begin to become the snake that is no longer afraid to uncoil and stretch so very high through the different layers and the levels and the frequencies. When we are coiled, this is what I have been envisioning a lot because I am working with the snake. And I realize I am coiled a lot. My muscles, right? My nervous system still really holds me hostage. And that is something that I am currently working on. And in doing so, I wake up really tight. My jaw. I can feel where I have been grinding my teeth maybe at night or clenching. I can just feel it in my body. And this, for me, is a direct correlation of what it means to live the law or the principle of as within, so without, and as above, so below. And so now I have just a little bit into how the spiral principles are also living mirrors. Because from here, the truth only deepens further and further. As within, so without, as above, so below, they are not linear steps. They are living mirrors of consciousness. Sometimes you awaken through the inner world first, the pain, the pattern, the psyche. Other times, it's the soul whispering from above, a dream, a vision, a divine disruption. Always. Always. They lead to each other. One expands the other, one reveals the other. And together they spiral you inward and upward through deeper layers of remembering. You return to the body to reclaim the soul. You return to the soul to understand the body. This is the path of the hermetic human, to know thyself through every layer of reality and every frequency. Inner and outer, heaven and human, shadow and source. So when the spiral stirs again, when the voices rise to negative patterning or programming, pause and whisper, I know you. I remember. I remember the truth I couldn't feel before. You never left. You never abandoned me. This journey, for me, is about learning how to come home. This is sovereignty. Not perfection, not constant peace. It's reunion. A sacred homecoming with the soul that you thought had gone missing in the very place it never left. Within you. And so this is just a tidbit, tip of the iceberg, top of the anchor of just the beginning of the many ways that as within so without as above so below, anchors into our psyche. In ways that helps us transmute mental dis-ease and mental disorder. However, being able to identify and become aware of the programming little by little along our journey, we can begin to understand that the foundational abandonment of being abandoned by source, which is our soul, a part of it at least. We might just be a part of source, each individually, fractalized out to experience the remembering and the magnificent, numerous, and infinite number of ways. And so before we close this episode, I want to guide you back into your body because this isn't just a concept. It's a reclamation. Let's remember together, not with thought alone at least, also with breath. And if you don't have time for this brief guided meditation at this time, come back later or source any of the many meditations on my YouTube channel to help you anchor anything in that you're working on. If this is where I leave you today, namaste and many blessings on your way. Otherwise, know that you can listen to this brief guided meditation anywhere and anytime with no commitment to traditional meditation stances or practices. So what I mean by that is if you're at your desk, great, if you're driving your car, awesome, cleaning your house, whatever it may be, you can always anchor into your sovereignty. And so I'll just ask that you begin to notice your breath, not to change it, just to meet it. Like an old friend, you forgot that you missed. Inhale gently through the nose. Exhale audibly through the mouth. And again, inhaling, exhaling, allowing your awareness to drift to your body now. Not as a shape, never as something to critique or control as a sacred space. A living archive, a vessel of vibration and memory, and pure magic. Feel where you are holding. And don't judge it. Just name it silently. Maybe it's the throat, somewhere in the chest or the belly, one of your limbs or in your head. And just allow your breath to move toward that spot. Not to fix it, but to befriend it. Allow the breath to approach it with compassion and understanding. And now, imagine the spiral that you've lived inside. The pattern, the rejection, the ache. You don't need to re-enter it. See yourself in the center, surrounded by the echoes of every time you left yourself. And now, imagine a light. A soft golden spiral, unraveling from your center core. And it grows gently outward, touching each of those moments with compassion. Not erasing them, reclaiming them. I see you. I know you. You are safe now. And take a nice inhale, leading to an intentional exhale. And feel your breath like a rope, anchoring you back into your body. Back into this moment, back into the part of you that was never separate. Just sleeping, waiting, remembering. And whisper silently or loud if you like. I will not abandon the body that is awakening. I return to myself now. I am home. Let your breath soften. Let your jaw unclench. Let your heart stay open, even if it hurts. You are not broken. You are remembering. And the soul you thought had left you. It's been here all along, waiting for you to feel it in your own skin. Welcome back. Thank you for being in this space. May this remembrance echo softly through your day. And until our next episode, stay sacred. Namaste and many blessings on your way.
