True happiness and lasting joy are found through a deeper relationship with God, which includes confession and repentance. While sin offers temporary pleasure through immediate gratification, it creates separation from God and leads to diminishing returns, requiring more to achieve the same satisfaction. Like a parent's rules, God's instructions are designed for our well-being and ultimate happiness. Regular confession and repentance aren't burdens but pathways to freedom, maintaining closer fellowship with God, and experiencing greater joy.
