In this episode, we talk with Dr. Mark Taormino, Professor of Computing & Information Technology at the College of Southern Nevada, who turned to Caspio after struggling to manage thousands of student certification exams with off-the-shelf tools. As the largest higher-education institution in Nevada, CSN needed a solution flexible enough to handle unique departmental workflows. After testing more than two dozen platforms, Mark found Caspio’s power, speed, and shallow learning curve unmatched, allowing him to design, build, and deploy a complete application over a single holiday break, work that would have required months of traditional development.
He later brought Caspio into his systems analysis and development course, giving students hands-on experience with real application design, data modeling, and the full development lifecycle. Many graduates now working in IT say the class gave them an immediate edge. Today, Caspio supports both teaching and departmental operations at the College of Southern Nevada, showing how low code helps educators modernize processes and prepare students for a fast-changing tech landscape.
