In 2012, Taylor Swift was 22 and turning into a pop icon of our generation. Her fourth studio album RED had it’s moment 11 years ago, and it had its moment again in 2021 when it was rereleased as (Taylor’s Version). When explaining the re-record of this album , Taylor Swift says: “I look back on RED as my true breakup album. Every other album has flickers of different things. But this was an album that I wrote specifically about pure, absolute, to the core heartbreak.” And that is exactly how we are going to dive into this era.
In this episode, we of course have to talk about the original era & track list, but that doesn’t even scratch the surface of how much of an impact this album has had in present day.
