Welcome to Death by a Thousand Books podcast!💘
Every episode starts with a book review and ends with a Taylor Swift song. It’s a podcast for book lovers, Swifties and everyone in between. Together, we deep dive into characters, plots and the best moments from our favorite books. Then I use my swiftie power to breakdown songs & lyrics that I think would fit that book best. For any newbies who are just getting into reading, this podcast might be the perfect place to start your tbr! (and if you don’t know what a tbr is, don’t worry you’ll get there).
Whether you’ve been here from the beginning or just tuning in, I’m happy you’re here!! I started this podcast because I could talk for hours endlessly about two things: books & Taylor Swift. So I found a way to combine my love for both. I have always wanted to be a part of the book community but had no idea where to start. If even just one person picks up a new book after listening to one of these episodes, I’ll be happy. It’s been such a fun experience reading & recording these episodes, releasing them and finding those people that geek out over this idea as much as I do.🤓

The Red era
It feels like the perfect night… to drop the Red era.🤭 OUT NOW!❤️
In 2012, Taylor Swift was 22 and turning into a pop icon of our generation. Her fourth studio album RED had it’s moment 11 years ago, and it had its moment again in 2021 when it was rereleased as (Taylor’s Version). When explaining the re-record of this album , Taylor Swift says: “I look back on RED as my true breakup album. Every other album has flickers of different things. But this was an album that I wrote specifically about pure, absolute, to the core heartbreak.” And that is exactly how we are going to dive into this era.
In this episode, we of course have to talk about the original era & track list, but that doesn’t even scratch the surface of how much of an impact this album has had in present day. We now have the All Too Well (TMV) & Short Film to discuss, along with our top 5 songs including the tracks (from the vault). It brings back so many memories that feel like The Very First night these songs were released.
