Nothing like the Movies (ft. Haunted)

Welcome back, silly little love lovers to the sequel episode from last week - Nothing like the Movies by Lynn Painter 💜 I loved these books so much, and I hope someday in the lifetime of this podcast, we get the chance to talk about these books as movies but for now, we can at least admire their love story by reading it.  One of my favorite things in a book is dual POV; you all know how much I looooove dual POV. Liz was the silly little love lover in Better than the Movies, but Wes Bennet turning into a hopeless romantic was not on my 2024 reading bingo card. 😂

I already talked a little bit about Liz & Wes in last week’s episode, but today we are really going to talk about their second chance love story and a little bit more about them as characters and how they developed  from the first book. Then we will listen to some of the songs that I love, where they’re mentioned in the book & pick out a few of my favorite lyrics that fit Wes & Liz the best. (Some of the bonus songs are: I Love You I’m Sorry by Gracie Abrams, Still by Niall Horan, another Taylor song that is placed perfectly which is Illicit Affairs, and I’m sorry but another Taylor Swift song that is mentioned in both book which is New Year’s Day.)
