SPEAKER_01

Yeah, anyway, songs take forever.

SPEAKER_00

They do take forever. You gotta write your lyrics. You gotta you gotta think of your chord progressions. You gotta think of uh the chord progressions are pretty easy though. Well it depends on what you're going for. Like you want like a nice happy sounding chord progression, you know, which only involves like having one minor chord, and then you get that nice riddly like you get one diminished chord per per song. Just one. I never put a diminished chord in there though.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It's kind of off limits in the metal world.

SPEAKER_01

You can definitely make songs sound sad using major though.

SPEAKER_00

That's true. Yeah. If you do the what chord progression could I think of? If you do uh a like a C, C major, and then do a G major, and then do an F major, the F major kind of like counteracts makes it sound a little more Yeah, 154.

SPEAKER_01

For all those number people out there, that is one five four.

SPEAKER_00

Nashville number system, my friends. You know what's crazy? I didn't really get into the Nashville number number system until uh I think it was later down the line playing at our old church. Not gonna name any names. Can't dox them. They're already doxxed enough, I think.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's true. They are um yeah, I mean, that's something that I learned a long time ago.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Through through music theory, your class? Or did you do it?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, that and you just I just kind of picked up on it. Yeah, like there's different numbers in the scale, and that's what number you use for the chord. So if you're playing the one, you're playing the the key that you're playing in is gonna be the one.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and so on, so on and so forth. Yeah. And then at the new church that I play at, not my home church, but there's one that I help out with. Sometimes they do the numbers a lot. Oh. And it can be kind of confusing sometimes because they don't ever like call it out at the right time.

SPEAKER_00

Oh. Well, you guys don't use a click at that church either, right?

SPEAKER_01

No, that my church, home church, we don't use a click.

SPEAKER_00

Ugh.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I know.

SPEAKER_00

I know that's hard. It is very hard. We use a click at our church. I don't know if they really know how to use it too well though. Like stay on it. Well, our drummers and our bass players are pretty good at staying on it, but our worship leaders, they'd be jumping. Like I'm telling you right now with uh what's his name from Whiplash? Um, JK Simmons. Are you rushing or are you dragging? That movie used to stress me. Remember when we watched that movie? Such a good movie. Did we? Yeah, we watched it together. Where? When we were still um living at your mom and dad's for a minute. And then I stayed the night and we ended up watching it. I think it was the same night we watched Meet the Robinsons. And we had little Caesars.

SPEAKER_01

We had sleepovers in our mid-20s. Woo! Dude, some people do it. Yeah, no, it's nothing wrong with it. I just think it's funny.

SPEAKER_00

It is funny.

SPEAKER_01

I don't do that anymore, though.

SPEAKER_00

No, well, we you never invite me over. I'll sleep on the futon. Just move the keyboard. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You can have land parties.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, dude. I'll bring my switch and we can we can play uh new leaf together. New horizons. New Horizons. What was I saying? See, now you're this is how you know I haven't played it in a while.

SPEAKER_01

New Leaf is one of them. It was the one that came before on the DS. Um, if they make a new Animal Crossing game, are you gonna get a Switch 2 for it or no? I do want the Switch 2.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't know they were making another one. Oh, wait, you said if they do. Yeah, if they do. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Which I feel like one is kind of they have to.

SPEAKER_00

They probably have to, especially because I mean the Switch 2 has so much more potential now. So they have to update it. Yeah, it looks so nice, at least on the TV.

SPEAKER_01

Like I'll say the handheld doesn't look that great.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But you can only do so much with that. But on the TV, like the colors pop in that game.

SPEAKER_00

I'll be honest, I've been wanting to I've been I've been wanting to buy a PlayStation portal, like the big, ugly looking thing that looks like a Switch. And it's just so I can because I've been dude, I've been playing uh Diablo 4 on the PlayStation.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It's so fun. And then so if I have I get like a two-hour break at work when I'm at Wood TV. So I'll just sit there. I can play Diablo, minding my own business.

SPEAKER_01

I will say Yeah. I will say that the the handheld is so nice. Is it? Yeah, it's just obviously like I said, the the image isn't as great. Yeah. But just to be able to take it off and like right before you go to bed and you're just like laying there, let me do something real quick, and then it's just pass like it's just nice. You can bring it somewhere.

SPEAKER_00

Oh man, it's kind of cool. I might I do what I I think I might trade in our our one switch in for that and see what the credit would look like. Cause I mean, all the game I think all the games would transfer over, right? Whatever you had on the switch can go to the switch too.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

All mine did.

SPEAKER_00

That'd be sweet. I just want another Smash Bros. They keep talking about it.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I thought the guy said last time that was the last one he was making.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that's the thing, is like, didn't he say that too about um maybe but one after brawl?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but I've just heard it's really hard to make. You have to get all the licenses for all the characters, especially all the non-Nintendo ones they had.

SPEAKER_00

That's true. They did have like a lot of Fire Emblem. Well, Fire Emblem is Nintendo. Yeah, but they're but they're mainly like Capcom, aren't they?

SPEAKER_01

Uh-uh.

SPEAKER_00

No?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

Which ones are Capcom? Right. No, Mega Man is oh wait, no. I was thinking of Pac-Man. My fault. Pac-Man is Namco.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they had Pac-Man on there. They had Snake from Metal Gear Solid. Yep.

SPEAKER_00

And that's Minecraft guy. Yeah. Oh man, and that's Mojang. It had so many characters in that last one. Yeah, there's like almost too many. There was like 80 something characters, I think, that you could pick from. That's not including your crazy me characters that you can make. I just, why? If anybody makes a me character and uses it when they play online, I quit the game immediately.

SPEAKER_01

They also, back when the Wii came out for Animal Crossing City folk, not to bring Animal Crossing back up, but they allowed your character to be a me. Uh-huh. And it's just like, why? That's so bad. It is bad. I don't know. Uh somebody wasn't thinking.

SPEAKER_00

I'm glad that they didn't include it. They just allowed it to be the cute little villager people.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You customize your own little villager guy, but now you used to answer questions and hope you answer them right. And then your character would get out of the bus or the train, and sometimes he'd be chopped. And you'd have to start over because you'd be stuck with that for the rest of the game. Now you can just change it. That's so funny. I like the customization, but I kind of miss the old like the old charm of like, what's he gonna look like?

SPEAKER_00

That is funny. Uh I'm gonna try it. If I if I redo it, I want to try and redo my villager to look like the one from um from uh Smash Bros.

SPEAKER_01

The one with like the number one shirt.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, the number one t-shirt.

SPEAKER_01

But I I kinda do that, except for he just has blue eyes and blonde hair to like match me. But other than that, I yeah. The default is the best looking one. He's it's great. Some people's characters online are just so ugly. Oh my gosh. Like, what are you what are we doing?

SPEAKER_00

When they use the wrong eyes, some of them are just so creepy. If you're using a square nose, you need to stay away from me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I just use the triangle one. Yeah, there you go. Always, yeah. There's a square, I think there's a there's a square triangle, and there's like a little one that like dips down.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I was gonna say there's a half circle or whatever. Yeah. Yep. Half circles. Ugh.

SPEAKER_01

Just use the triangles, y'all. Alright, let's get started on that. Let's get started.

SPEAKER_00

We sadly don't have any nice cold ones to crack with the boys. No, no cold ones to crack with the boys. I know. Doesn't sound right. You should have brought one. I I thought about it. It's crazy because I wanted you to try the new liquid death that I ordered. What flavor was it? It's like it's it's like Mountain Dew, but it's called Mountain Death, which is confusing because I bought a tall boy of it and it was called Mountain Don't. Is that Meyer, the Meyer gas station? Mountain Don't. It's not alcoholic, is it? No. They don't make alcohol yet. Yet. I feel like it's coming. They got their pop, they got their sparkling waters, their regular water, their teas.

SPEAKER_01

They should just stick with the water. That's what they their brand was.

SPEAKER_00

That's what their brand was known for, right? Especially because murder your thirst thirst is their slogan.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah. Who knows?

SPEAKER_01

Um who knows? But what is Mountain Don't?

SPEAKER_00

It's like their version of Mountain Dew.

SPEAKER_01

I thought it was called Mountain Death.

SPEAKER_00

I know, but that's what confused me. So I'm wondering if it's like there was some sort of misprint or if it's like that's I don't know. I'm I'm just I'm just the consumer.

SPEAKER_01

Mountain Death would have been so much better. Mountain Don't is just kind of maybe they had to change it.

SPEAKER_00

Or I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

I'm telling you right now. They should have just done like hill. Like hill death. Hill. Or hill don't or something like that. What's another thing for dew? Hill. Because do is like the stuff that goes in the grass. It's like moisture in the morning. Hill. Hill moisture.

SPEAKER_00

Hill moisture.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, not.

SPEAKER_00

Hill wet. Wettened. Moistened.

SPEAKER_01

Well, it's gonna bother a lot of people because a lot of people don't like the word moist. Which I'll still never understand. Yeah, I'm kind of over it. I don't know. Moist. It doesn't really bother me anymore.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like you just had to be at that weird era of life. Maybe people just hated it just because they wanted to hate it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, maybe it was just like nickelback. The word became the same as nickelback, like uh it's so gross, you can't like it. Nickel slap, nipple slap, nickelback. Ah, I should have named my character moist. I'm gonna do that next time. All right, but before we read these, you know what we have to do? We have to jump in. So cheesy, but I have to do it every time.

SPEAKER_00

It's great. The cut the the customer loves it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So it goes, Hi guys, I need someone to tell me if I'm being dramatic or if this is actually weird. This is a girl writing this, probably already. Yep. I've been dating my boyfriend for about a year. He's genuinely a nice guy, but he treats every disagreement like it's a corporate meeting. I'll say something like, It kind of hurt my feelings that you canceled our plans. And he'll respond with, I appreciate you bringing this to my attention. Going forward, forward, I will strive to improve communication. It sounds nice, except he says it with the emotional warmth of an HR email. The man has apologized to me with bullet points. Last week I asked if he even gets mad about anything, and he said, I prefer to focus on solutions rather than emotions. Sir, I am the emotion. The thing is, he's incredibly dependable. He remembers everything, he's thoughtful, and I know he cares. I just can't tell if I'm dating a person or customer support. Am I expecting too much by wanting a little messiness and actual feelings? Or do I accept that this is just how he communicates and stop trying to turn him into something he's not?

SPEAKER_00

Dang. Some people just don't get like they're just never satisfied. Because then, watch, she would get a bad boy and then she's like, oh, he doesn't communicate enough. I need him to be more straightforward. Like the worst thing he could do next is probably bring up PowerPoint with an apology on it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and like that little like pointer thing and be like, right here, this is where I apologize.

SPEAKER_00

With the cheesy gnome pictures that PowerPoint has in their in their default or whatever. Yeah, like the I know exactly what you're talking about. Exactly. But I think, I mean, overall, it the best thing is I think he's communicating pretty well, despite it not being the normal way to do it, but it's professional.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but she says she wants some actual messiness.

SPEAKER_00

You want some messiness?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, added to it. Like maybe maybe it's a little too formal? Too or too uh put together? I don't know. Like if you ever go to like which restaurant would you rather go to? The one with like mixed match chairs and there's frames and stuff on the wall, or do you want to go to the one where it's 10 feet ceiling and there's just like chrome and everything is shiny? Like which one sounds more appealing?

SPEAKER_00

Probably the messy one.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, exactly. Like the other ones are cool and they're pristine and they're shiny, but there's just something more homey about the ones.

SPEAKER_00

Rather than dull robotic. And okay, I get it. Yeah, so I see what she's going with. I mean, I don't know. Maybe I think the funniest thing is like too if you're like if you go up to him and try to conversate and open yourself up, he's gonna just make another bullet point for you and be like, I will work on this, don't worry. Here's how I apologize. Dot dot dot.

SPEAKER_01

Or she could just tell him not to do that, right?

SPEAKER_00

But then again, she's how you break that out of his personality. Exactly. How do you she's trying to go about it without having to change him, right? Um I think that's what she said in the end. She's like, I don't want to change his his lifestyle or personality.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, trying to turn him into something he's not, right?

SPEAKER_00

There you go. Yep. So how so how do you do that though? My thing is, how was he beginning to do?

SPEAKER_01

Okay, here's here's a real world instance. Yeah. There's times when you'll text me and you'll be like, Caleb. And I'm just like, I'm not answering him because I'd rather you just be the first text be like, hey, I need this, or yeah, yeah. But how do I do that? Because if that's your personality, but my personality is also, it's like, where's the compromise?

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_01

But you could see the the thing is you could send it with like Caleb apostroph free, and then the question all in one, you'd be like, My bad, dude.

SPEAKER_00

I like creating suspense too. That's my fault. I do it to everyone.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I know. Because you do it in the group chat too. But that's like a similar situation because like nobody wants you to change if that's who you are.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But at the same time, it's like there's an efficiency lack.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Which we don't need to go in depth there. I'm just saying there's that's like a that's a real world instance of that makes me think of a way to.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, yeah, I guess the best thing to do is try to communicate that about you. Be like, hey, I want a little bit of sauce in this in this whole thing. Like, I want I want to I want a messy conversation, right? Real quick, like make it happen. And then if he tries to grab his laptop and write a bullet point, grab his laptop and like I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Or she could just not understand. Um, pretend you're not like, hey, what are you what are you saying when you say this? I can't read this. Yeah, I can't read this. Is there any way you can vocally say it to me? I don't know. We're getting somewhere. Yeah, that's just so weird though.

SPEAKER_00

It is. How is he wired to do that? Who taught him to do that?

SPEAKER_01

Do you think his parents? I bet you'd be surprised. I think if we looked into a lot of people's relationships, there's probably a lot of there's probably a lot of ones out there. Remember the NA, remember the Enneagram, whatever it's called?

SPEAKER_00

Crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Um, but there's probably a lot of people who are just programmed, like they're very rule by the book based. So everything they do.

SPEAKER_00

That be an Enneagram one now that I think about it. I feel like that's more of a four, because four was the analyst.

SPEAKER_01

No, four was technically I was the four.

SPEAKER_00

You were a four? Yeah, they're like the because four was definitely like if you compare it. I remember we did the thing too, because we did it with TV shows, but it was Dwight Schroute from the office that was compared to be a four.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think that was true. We're gonna have to look this up afterwards unless you want to do it right now. I can look it up right now.

SPEAKER_00

Let's see here, because I feel I thought you were a five.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_00

I'm a seven. I was a seven. I'm not doing this anymore. I don't want to talk about I'm not doing this anyway on myself.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't want to do it on myself. Uh who from the office was an trying to think here too.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, I got all nine of the thingies here. Ryan would have been a four. Ryan's a four. Are you a Ryan?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I'd I'd rather just get like what the type is. Um fours are the individualist or romantic. Oh. A deeply introspective, sensitive, and emotionally. Yeah, that's not Dwight. Yeah. Um one, I shouldn't have made that joke where it looked look where that brought us. Uh number ones are principal, ethical, and purpose-driven individuals known as the perfectionist or the reformers. So that's where I would have put this guy if we were still caring about the Enneagram.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Okay. Yeah. I just found it too. I am a seven. Because they're distractable. Yet reliable. Which I am.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But very distractable. Yes. I'm just I I just still think though, because there has to be a reason he was still wired that way. Like, like he was trained to be able to be like, oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Like I said, have you ever you've never gone to a friend's house and the parents are just like not spitting image at this guy, but they're they're pretty close. Maybe yeah. I guess. You've never you've never been. I'm not no that's not me hinting at my parents because my parents are not that.

SPEAKER_00

That's not who I'm I I'm I'm thinking I'm trying to think whose parents because one, it wasn't Nate. Because Nate's parents were pretty chill.

SPEAKER_01

Like I had to make sure not to say it as last.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, my bad. I almost uh can't dox anybody here, dude. Yeah, no, you can't get the censor. I'm not Alex either. Not not Alex's parents. Alex. A-L-E-C-C. Yeah. Sorry, you it's hard to say Alex. Yeah, no, I know. That's why I was yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, they weren't really like No, they weren't.

SPEAKER_00

I can't.

SPEAKER_01

That's why I'm trying to think like who uh over maybe Nathan's work, because he was kind of that way.

SPEAKER_00

Wasn't he? You know in an annoying way, maybe. Gosh, I hope he doesn't listen.

SPEAKER_01

But we didn't say his last name, so he doesn't know who we're talking about. Yeah, maybe like 20 mates. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, um, I think I think it was close. Like he was kind of that way. I guess that's maybe he didn't say like the I'm sorry I made your emotions hurt. Let me fix it for you. Like, I know that he wasn't like that, but he was a little more uh like straightforward-ish.

SPEAKER_00

He was straightforward-ish.

SPEAKER_01

But I really don't know how you would communicate on to someone changing their ways without changing them in that perspective.

SPEAKER_00

I think the only yeah, I think the only way she's gonna be able to get through this is to try and most likely fix that part of this personality.

SPEAKER_01

Disrupt the sim system themselves.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, or go to a counselor.

SPEAKER_01

Why are you uh emailing us? Like, how are we supposed to comment? Ask ChatGPT. Yeah, if you've been listening to us, you know. Like we're we're not real experts. Uh well, I think that I am, but you know. I think I'm there. The comments. Okay, we're ready for number two. We're gonna have to peg that one as number two. Yeah, we're gonna have to peg that one as unsolvable. Unsolvable. Sorry. That was the first one. Normally I guarantee people to get a girlfriend or boyfriend by listening to this podcast, but sometimes it doesn't work out. Yeah, I'm gonna have to put that guarantee down. Yeah. Uh, this is number two. Hey everyone, I've been seeing this guy for about six months and I really like him. Oh the problem is he has absolutely no ability to tell a short story. Who do we know? A simple question like how was your trip to the grocery store somehow becomes a 20-minute saga involving three strangers, a broken shopping cart, a history of avocados, and a cashier named Linda who had really good energy.

unknown

Hmm.

SPEAKER_01

Very detailed storytelling.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Yeah. Do you know anybody like that?

SPEAKER_00

I do.

SPEAKER_01

Unfortunately, you just can't change them.

SPEAKER_00

No, they just they're just like that, and they don't even know that they do it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, like you can try and tell them, but and they might change for that day, but then it's back at it.

SPEAKER_00

It's just back at it.

SPEAKER_01

You just have to be an expert at like, oh, that's crazy. It's and add in some yes, or like, oh man.

SPEAKER_00

So funny, because a group of us were we were chatting, and uh we asked this girl, like, oh, what does she do for work? And she's like, Well, I talked to like like military parents and blah blah blah. And she goes on to tell us this whole entire thing. But yeah, and she's like, I charge $20 to watch our kids, and then they and then she keeps going, she's talking about this for like 15 minutes. And my buddy Jose goes, So what you're saying is you're a babysitter? She's like, Yeah, I'm like, You could have just said that. Yep. Man, that's it's just so crazy to me. Like, I'm not gonna give you this whole thing, like, oh yeah, I do cameras and I do audio and I do uh mix engineer and all the I'm I'm just an audio guy. That's my job.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I just say, Yeah, I'm a welder. Yeah, but then they always ask, like, oh, what do you weld?

SPEAKER_00

And then I have to tell him, and I'm like, uh I mean there's that, yeah, there's the extra questions, but yeah, but still.

SPEAKER_01

So she says, by the time he's done, I've forgotten what I asked. I have that problem too where somebody, there's a few people that I can think of that are just talking, and I start to zone out because their initial story has. Now become this like what you said. He was like, So you're saying you're a babysitter? Yeah. Like I'll just start zoning out and I'll have to be like, wait, what are you talking about? And I always feel bad, but it's like it just happens. Cause it's just it's just when they just keep rambling and rambling, it's like I'm trying to follow, but you keep going down all these other paths, and now I don't know where the yeah, where the story is. Yeah. Because you you've trailed off.

SPEAKER_00

You end up trailing off, and you try to do just too many details gets gets a little little um I can't think of the word. What is it? Redundant. Yeah, redundant, yeah. Right word? That's my reductive. I think it's reductive.

SPEAKER_01

Either way, everyone knows what we're talking about.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

At first I thought it was kind of adorable. Now I find myself accidentally creating fake deadlines just so I can escape before he gets to chapter four. The worst part is he's actually funny. His stories usually have a payoff eventually. But if I ask what he wants for dinner, I don't have 45 minutes to hear about the time his uncle bought a grill in 2009. Man, it's so real.

SPEAKER_00

He's gonna be a good grandpa.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah, he'll be a good grandpa. So if you can hold on for 50 more years, I feel guilty because I don't want to make him feel like I don't care about what he has to say. I do. I just also value reaching the end of a conversation before bedtime.

SPEAKER_00

Nope.

SPEAKER_01

How do I bring this up without crushing someone whose favorite hobby seems to be turning every anecdote into a Ken Burns documentary?

SPEAKER_00

She's got really good, like um wit to her story there.

SPEAKER_01

Ken Burns documentary.

unknown

That's funny.

SPEAKER_00

Well, girl, I mean, like like we were saying, you can try to the bit the biggest thing too. I wonder if she's tried to like abbreviate and shorten, like how kind of like how my friend did the whole so you're a babysitter.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like just try to be like, oh, so you're gonna put cooked you a burger on the new new stove.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but the thing is, is they'll they'll be like, yeah, he did that, and then and then they just go on. Like it just I don't know. I think those people need to have multiple people in their life telling them, which I I've started to be more honest with people, like, hey man, you're rambling, and you could have told me this in 30 seconds. Yeah, like it's there's just nothing. I just don't care anymore. Yeah, maybe. Well, the thing is maybe maybe we're just moving too fast. Maybe, and all these other people are stuck in the slow world, which is nothing wrong with that.

SPEAKER_00

But it's like sometimes it's just hard to I don't know about I I feel like when people tell a long story like they do, I don't think it's a problem. I think yeah, there is moments where I'm just like, okay, you are going on, but I'm glad that you're excited to tell me what you're Yeah, because you don't want to shoot them down because they're excited.

SPEAKER_01

And it's just like you don't want to be rude and ruin their Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

A lot of these people just are like, oh wow, you really want to hear about this. Well, let me tell you my whole entire, you know, football field and a half of a story, you know. But I think overall, if you want to communicate and be like, hey, right now it's not the time. Can you just tell me a quick short end of the story? And if that doesn't work, I mean the thing is if you really care about this guy, you're gonna hear him out, right? You really like this guy, you're gonna hear him out. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So and like sometimes you'll you can listen to the long version, and then sometimes you can just be like, hey, I I actually have to go, so I can't do the long story today.

SPEAKER_00

Just communicate that, just be like, hey, I I you know, I really want to get to doing this or whatever. Like, just yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And the funny thing is, is when you start doing it back to people, like telling long stories, they will interrupt so much. I think I think one of the problems is people just really like to hear the sound of their own voice.

SPEAKER_00

That's the thing too. Arrogance. Yeah, plenty of arrogance and a self self-ego type of thing.

SPEAKER_01

I've noticed.

SPEAKER_00

Uh all right, you got anything else? Uh no, not on that one. I think it's just, yeah. Well, that's I think both of these girls just have to talk to their guys. I the these are some very interesting ones for sure. Um, the c chat GPT type of type of personality guy. You gotta either, if you don't like the fact that he's writing you letters, which I think is quite romantic that he's writing letters. But was he? No, he's well, I'm talking about his bullet points. Oh, yeah. He hasn't printed, you know. Yeah. So I'm just like, he's writing you letters, girl. He loves you. Yeah, yeah. Tell him to put some chocolates with it next time. Maybe that'll maybe that'll spruce up the mood for you. And as for the girl right with this recent, uh, the second one, um, I mean, do your best to communicate. I think that's the problem. You hold on. I think that's the problem. Most women are like, I want a man that communicates, but girl, you need to communicate if something is the problem. Like, don't just put it on the guy that he doesn't communicate or he over-communicates. Communicate what's bothering you with that sense. Then yeah. Like, don't just make it about the fact that, like, oh yeah, I'm like, it's never I'm the problem. Come on, Taylor Swift did it. Taylor Swift told her, told everybody that she's the problem. Did she? Yeah, in one of her songs. I'm the problem. Is it on our latest album? I think so. It goes, I'm the problem, it's me. You know, have you heard of that one? No, maybe she's growing up though. Yeah, maybe, hopefully. I think her and Travis Kelsey are married now, finally. Hmm. Hmm.

SPEAKER_01

I haven't listened to one of her albums in since the folk ones that she did.

SPEAKER_00

Was that the like the older stuff? Right?

SPEAKER_01

No, so there is there was her country era, uh-huh, which she started with. Yeah. And then she went like pop. She went pop-ish. So, like that, what's that one song? Like Duncan, dunno, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, I can't think of the words.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, nice to meet you. Where have you been? Yeah, that one.

SPEAKER_02

I can show you.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, that was her. I keep forgetting it was her.

SPEAKER_01

So that was kind of like her pop era, I guess. And then she came out with two folk albums after that. And I thought those were her best ones. And then she, I don't know what you'd call her now. I don't know. I mean, it's cool that she's changing genres. Like, I'm all for that. Like, people always get mad at people who do that. No, like change it up. Yeah, these different things, but I always forget that was her that did that song. Yeah, what is that song called?

SPEAKER_00

Next time, Meet You, Me You Ben.

SPEAKER_01

I think it's better. What is that song? Something now. No, we need we need to figure it out. I'm I'm looking at chat. Tell us.

SPEAKER_02

With the chat.

SPEAKER_00

You know what, dude? One of these days we should just like live stream the podcast. We should. You know how great that would be? I know it's the fact that we'd have to go through so you could do it on Discord. You can live stream on Discord. Can you?

SPEAKER_01

I think so. I mean, I uh to be fair, I do have Wi-Fi now, so we could find a way to Blank Space. Blank Space. And I'll write your name. Yeah. Yeah. Um, so there was those. What were the ones called that she did let she hear? I don't I don't think I really was her second one came out in 2020, and there was folklore that also came out in 2020.

SPEAKER_00

Whoa, two albums back to back.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Cardigan was really popular on that one, and so was Exile. I think that's the one I heard. Dang. Yeah, that one is good.

SPEAKER_00

I would I I have to jam these out of my car, but I don't want to be caught jamming Taylor Swift.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I don't care. I'll do it.

SPEAKER_00

I'll jam Lana Del Rey before I jam Taylor Swift.

SPEAKER_01

Lana Del Rey.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Your future wife.

SPEAKER_01

No, I think she's married. Pulse, I wouldn't want to marry her. Come on.

SPEAKER_00

No?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

She's attractive, but I don't know if she's Christian.

SPEAKER_00

I don't think she is. Definitely not. You hear those words she'd be saying in those songs, dog? Sometimes, yeah. Yeah. It gets you questioning a couple things here and there.

SPEAKER_01

It sure does.

SPEAKER_00

You know who's actually surprisingly like some of her music's good. Some songs are annoying that she's written. Um have you heard of Chappelle Roan? Yeah, I heard of her. She's the one that sings the H-O-T-T-O-G-O. She did that one. You probably never heard that one.

SPEAKER_01

H-O-T-T-O-G-O. You can take me hot to go.

SPEAKER_00

No, I've never heard that one. Oh. I think you'd like her. She's got like some interesting ones.

SPEAKER_01

Um, Pink Pony Club didn't I mean it's catchy. She also sings Pink Pony Club. Yes. Yes. And it's catchy, but it's like uh Yeah. Whatever happened to Lorde? Whatever happened to her? I think she tried to like what's like sexualize herself on her album covers. I don't know if you've ever seen some of her album covers in recent years.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not gonna lie, I only knew the one song.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well, so she came. I think that album first one was just pure nostalgia for people, and like it was just iconic, and then the next ones just weren't as good.

SPEAKER_00

I hate when that happens to certain artists. Like Olivia Rodrigo Rodrigo, she got all sexualized too.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Everyone's talking about how great her new album is, and it's like, if she was ugly, I guarantee you guys would not be listening to her. I just know. Yeah, that's fair. Even yeah, I mean, it's like her older songs are like okay. Like some of them I really like, like there's two of them, I think. But the praise that the new album is getting, like, I just want to see her be ugly and see people see the same thing. Because I know it's because of how she looks. Because she's really not like that great when you think like in the grand scheme of things. She's yeah, yeah, like she's not bad. Yeah, and her songs are catchy and they're fun, but like I want to see what happens if she's ugly in an alternate universe. Like she's fat and ugly, and I want to see if she's actually popular because I don't think she would be.

SPEAKER_00

Dang.

SPEAKER_01

I think it's it's just like she kind of pulls out like bad girl look.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, maybe it would be opposite too if I was such a Chad and while I was still in a metal band. Huh? Like a Chad, you know, like the the what do you call that face? The Giga Chad? The Giga Chad face. Yeah, you know, maybe it'd be different if I had the Giga Chad face in the band.

SPEAKER_01

What do you mean it would be different? What would be different?

SPEAKER_00

Like maybe I'd be more popular. We'd be more popular. Yeah, yeah. We'd be more popular. Yeah, we're in a band together.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Spoiler alert. Um, oh, dude, this is not important to the podcast, but you know how we're trying to do like like conspiracy theories and stuff like that, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Did you ever hear about the the kind the kindergarten theory? No? Oh, dude, it's kind of creepy. Play the creepy music now. No, I'm just kidding, don't do it.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, you know what? What sucks is I updated my interface and everything. Yeah, everything got deleted. Dang, dude. You gotta lose. I only have this one added.

SPEAKER_00

That's the noise I needed when I said a giga chad.

SPEAKER_01

Oh dang. You're right.

SPEAKER_00

But anyway, yeah, anyway, kindergarten theory. All right, I'm gonna ask you this at first. If you're ever like on your own, if you're at the gym or doing something, right? Do you ever just like hear your name being called, but no one called your name?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I've had that before. Not just at the gym, like other places.

SPEAKER_00

No, well, I'm just in general, if you're just minding your own business or whatever, but you hear Caleb. Yeah, but like nobody is talking to you, nobody looked at your direction to get your attention.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

There's the kindergarten theory that says that we're all still napping, and this is all one big dream. And the reason why you're hearing your name is because your teacher is trying to wake you up. But everything is running at a completely different speed, is what they're saying. Who who came up with this? I have no idea. Grand theory. I bet you it's the I bet you it's that Asian, that Asian comedian dude that made it up. That's usually on a podcast with um with uh Bobby Lee. Yes.

SPEAKER_01

And uh his name's like Antonio. Something like that. It's something like that. It's called the The Good Friends or something podcast.

SPEAKER_00

The good yes, the Good Friends podcast. That's what it's called. But anyway, the Kenny, that's the kindergarten theory is like you're apparently still sleeping cradled up, but if you hear your name while you're out and about or whatever, it's your teacher coming up.

SPEAKER_01

So those two came up with it, they probably get high on that podcast and they're just like, dude.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, like, that's a fun theory to think about and it's crazy, but there's no way it's realistic, but I think it'd be kind of crazy if that was like what if all of a sudden you're just waking up and you're just friggin' five-year-old Caleb again. Me like, man, man, the best nap ever.

SPEAKER_01

Would we have all the information we have now? That'd be something, you know, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because I feel like I feel like that'd come in handy. Like, imagine waking up and you're like, oh dude, I gotta practice bass right now, and I'm not gonna go to the Navy. You know?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

That would be something.

SPEAKER_00

And then just be like, start the podcast now at the age of 13, and then it grows. Dang. Start seeing it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, get into podcasts when they're first taking off.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Although this one is kind of growing. I mean, as much as it can without I haven't posted anything on social medias and people are still you know, I thought you still posted reels on stuff on like on YouTube or something.

SPEAKER_00

Nope. No? No YouTube.

SPEAKER_01

I I do want to get video up and running again. It's just the time. Now that I have Wi-Fi and I can just edit it here, yeah. I'm it might be worth it to do video though.

SPEAKER_00

I was gonna say, I'm sure because you you used to go to like the coffee shop or something like that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, just sit there and edit, and it just took forever. But if I can do a little bit each day until the next one comes out, because video does help. Yeah, for sure. People get it back on YouTube, but also it's like, are people just gonna make fun of us? I guess it doesn't have to deal with that risk.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, once they see what we look like and they're like, how are these guys giving dating advice?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_00

Like, we get it, guys. We're not Chads, we're not we ain't giga chads.

SPEAKER_01

We're definitely incel.

SPEAKER_00

Mostly Stefan, though. Mostly Stefan is a giga chad. Yeah, you guys will see it when once the cameras come back.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Stefan. Yeah, giga chad Stefan.

SPEAKER_00

Giga Giga Steph.

SPEAKER_01

Giga Steph.

SPEAKER_00

All right, you got anything else? Nothing, dude. Just the kindergarten theory. That's it. Okay, bye. Love you, bye. All right, bye, everybody. Shout out bye. Love you.
