An Email Reply to Dr. Ben Carson

I admire Dr. Ben Carson very much. I have read two of his books. They were thrilling! He is a brilliant brain surgeon and the stories of cases he handled are riveting. He recently sent out an email (well, a staff member of his did), and I replied to it. This podcast describes the content of my reply. By the way, I have not heard back from Dr. Carson or his staff member I'm disappointed to say. 

I hope you enjoyed this episode of Brother Scott's Look in the Book, and most of all, I pray you learned from it and that it helped you dive deeper into God's word, which he places above his very name.

There should be a lot less political talk, and a lot more gospel talk. When you ask the question, "What must I do to be saved?," practically no one knows the correct answer, even though it's spelled out plain as day in the Bible. 
(Acts 16:31 KJV) (31) And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
And when someone is given that answer, the next thing they don't know is, what they are to believe about the Lord Jesus Christ. The majority think back to believing in Christ's earthly ministry, but that's not it at all.
The gospel that saves today is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Here is verse 1 stating it is THE gospel:
(1 Corinthians 15:1 KJV) (1) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
In this dispensation of grace we are living in, we don't perform works to be saved. We perform works because we are saved. But the vast majority don't even know that fact. They still live their lives as if they're still under the law. 
There are an untold number of conservative talking heads who say and do good things, like you, Dr. Carson, and wickedness is still escalating, despite the number of conservatives like you who speak out against it. The problem is, the god of this world is Satan. We should be speaking out against Satan more than we speak out against Biden, Harris, Pelosi, etc., etc., etc. You're just preaching to the conservative choir when you do so. 
(2 Corinthians 4:3-4 KJV) (3) But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: (4) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
So until we proclaim the gospel that saves today more than pointing out the wickedness that prevails today, things will only continue to get worse.
