Brother Scott's Look in the Book
Study along with an open King James Bible to see if what I say is true. You know, like those noble Bereans did with our Apostle Paul's preaching.
Brother Scott's Look in the Book
Bible Key Words and Meanings A-Z Series: Holy Ghost - Holy Spirit
Follow along with an open King James Bible as brother Scott Evans teaches on the Biblical terms, Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit.
I hope you enjoyed this episode of Brother Scott's Look in the Book, and most of all, I pray you learned from it and that it helped you dive deeper into God's word, which he places above his very name.
(Psalm 138:2 KJV) (2) I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
God gives us instruction on how to study our Bibles:
(2 Timothy 2:15 KJV) (15) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Please do not only go by what I say, but do the work and study for yourself.
"Anything I can talk you into, someone else can talk you out of."

Hi! This is brother Scott with another Truth Time, Look in the Book!
Today is part 21 in my series, “Bible Key Words and Meanings A to Z.”
All references are from the King James Bible.
Perhaps take some notes as you listen.
We move on to the letter “H.”
The word today is:
Holy Ghost also, Holy Spirit
The Holy Ghost is the 3rd person of the Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
Holy Ghost is referenced 90 times in the King James Bible.
Holy Spirit is referenced only 7 times.
OK, we read in
(Mark 3:29 KJB)
(29) But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
Well, that is referencing time past.
But now:
There is no longer any unforgiven sin:
(Romans 5:20 KJB)
(20) Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
There is more Biblical evidence that no unforgiven sin exists today during this dispensation of grace. For example:
(2 Corinthians 5:19 KJB)
(19) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
When God reconciled the world unto himself, he left no sins behind. Even the sin of blasphemy. Because God cannot reconcile himself to any sin.
In time past and during Israel’s rise (Isaiah 60:verses1-3), there was no need to study God’s word due to the presence of the Holy Ghost:
(Mark 13:11 KJB)
(11) But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
But now during Israel’s fall (Romans 11:11) Jesus commands us to study:
(2 Timothy 2:15 KJB)
(15) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
(2 Timothy 3:15 KJB)
(15) And that from a child thou hast known (studied) the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Next, in Acts 5:1-10, there is an account of a husband and wife, Ananias and Sapphira, lying to the Holy Ghost about how much money they received for selling their land. They kept back part of the proceeds. For that they were killed instantly about 3 hours apart.
Further along in Acts 5 we discover that during time past under covenant, Israel received the Holy Ghost if they obeyed Christ by performing works:
(Acts 5:31-32 KJB)
(31) Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
(32) And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
But now under grace, the Holy Ghost is given, not earned, to all who have trusted and believed. Neither works nor water are necessary:
(Romans 5:5 KJB)
(5) And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us, i.e., a free gift. See Romans 5:18.
(2 Corinthians 1:22 KJB)
(2) Who hath also sealed us, and given (free gift) the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
(Ephesians 1:13 KJB)
(13) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
And God's seal cannot be broken. You can be sealed and 100% Satan-proof.
(Romans 8:11 KJB)
(11) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
OK, in
(Psalm 51:11 KJV) David wrote:
(11) Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
Which indicates, unlike today during the dispensation of grace, the holy spirit would come and go based on circumstances back then.
Then we read in Acts 7:51 where Israel rejected the Holy Ghost:
(Act 7:51 KJB) Stephen recites:
(51) Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
They did so by stoning Stephen in Acts 7:59-60. And in Romans 11:10, the Lord darkened their eyes, and in Romans 11:22 Israel fell, and in Romans 11:11 we read “…through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles.”
This is the time Jesus Christ revealed himself from heaven and gave to the apostle Paul the Ephesians 3:2 parenthetical dispensational time of mystery.
Aren’t we so thankful that God blessed us in this way!
And aren’t we so thankful that during this dispensation, the Holy Ghost will never leave the believer because we are sealed with that Ephesians 1:13 holy Spirit of promise!
(Ephesians 1:13 KJB)
(13) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
And that is why believers can read and study the Bible and compare scripture with scripture and learn and retain what God preserved in his word, the King James Bible.
And you, yes you, can have the Holy Spirit dwell in you as well, and he will help you understand God's word that he places above his very name. (That can be found in Psalm 138:2)
So, this is by no means an exhaustive study.
When you continue to study the Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit further, you will find it fascinating.
Ok, that’ll do it.
Like the noble Bereans did with Paul’s messages, I urge you to search the scriptures to see if what I am teaching is true. (Acts 17:10-11)
Prove all things. (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
And finally, please do not place confidence in what I say. Psalm 118:8-9
