Brother Scott's Look in the Book
Study along with an open King James Bible to see if what I say is true. You know, like those noble Bereans did with our Apostle Paul's preaching.
Brother Scott's Look in the Book
Is, "TURN OR BURN, SINNER!" Biblical?
We have probably all heard the term, "Turn or Burn!" Keyboard warriors and street preachers say it all the time. They are trying to tell us that we must turn from our sin and trust Christ to be saved. Tune in to this first short audio from Brother Scott's Look in the Book and find out why, "Turn or Burn!" is NOT Biblical.
I hope you enjoyed this episode of Brother Scott's Look in the Book, and most of all, I pray you learned from it and that it helped you dive deeper into God's word, which he places above his very name.
(Psalm 138:2 KJV) (2) I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
God gives us instruction on how to study our Bibles:
(2 Timothy 2:15 KJV) (15) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Please do not only go by what I say, but do the work and study for yourself.
"Anything I can talk you into, someone else can talk you out of."

Hi this is Brother Scott with my very first short look in the book.
Today's question is, will you go to hell because of your sin?
Well, people who would say yes to that quote Matthew 19:16 through 17,
(16) And, behold, one came and said unto him, (Jesus) Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
(17) (in part) And Jesus said, if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Well, who can argue with that right?
Jesus said it, but, that was before the cross, right?
So, under grace, after the cross, Paul wrote that we are not under the law.
We are not saved by commandment keeping, but by grace through faith.
Our salvation is a free gift that we do not work for now.
Suppose you were to ask Paul that same question that the man asked Jesus in Matthew 19.
As you will see, his answer is quite different.
Acts 19:39 (actually, Acts 13:39. My bad!), And by him all that believe (have faith) are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. (commandments).
Romans 4:5, But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith (not commandment keeping) is counted for righteousness.
Titus 3:5 (in part), Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us,
Romans 6:14, For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
And finally, Ephesians 2:8-9,
(8) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: (commandment keeping) it is the gift of God:
(9) Not of works, (which is also commandment keeping, right?) lest any man should boast.
So, the answer, will you go to hell for your sin, or will anybody else today go to hell for their sin?, the answer is, no, they'll go to hell because of their unbelief in the gospel the saves today which is 1 Corinthians 15:1 through 4, which Paul tells us the gospel is, that we are to believe and trust in Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.
Then, at that moment, we are saved.
Grace and Peace.
