Brother Scott's Look in the Book
Study along with an open King James Bible to see if what I say is true. You know, like those noble Bereans did with our Apostle Paul's preaching.
Brother Scott's Look in the Book
Unbelievers Are Still In Their Sins? Hogwash!
Tune in to find out why unbelievers, i.e., the unsaved, are NOT in their sins.
I hope you enjoyed this episode of Brother Scott's Look in the Book, and most of all, I pray you learned from it and that it helped you dive deeper into God's word, which he places above his very name.
(Psalm 138:2 KJV) (2) I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
God gives us instruction on how to study our Bibles:
(2 Timothy 2:15 KJV) (15) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Please do not only go by what I say, but do the work and study for yourself.
"Anything I can talk you into, someone else can talk you out of."

Hi, this is Brother Scott with my third installment of another short look in the book.
Many professing Christians agree that sins were forgiven at the cross of Christ, but seems like there's always a "but," right?
But many will try to convince you that your sins are not forgiven until you believe in the gospel that saves today.
Hogwash.
That is called limited forgiveness.
Can you imagine limiting God's forgiveness through his Son's death on the cross?
Listen carefully to 2 Corinthians 5:19 and notice this is all past tense,
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world into himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Here is the limited forgiver's version.
To wit, that God was in Christ, not reconciling the world into himself, is still imputing their trespasses unto them, and has not yet committed unto us the word of reconciliation until we believe the gospel.
Ouch.
The wages of sin is death, Romans 6:23.
Everyone agrees that Jesus Christ paid those wages on our behalf.
So, being the wages have been paid, and Christ himself on the cross said, It is finished, why do some say it is not finished until we're justified by belief in the gospel?
Well, that would mean we are justified while we are still in our sins!
That is putting the cart before the horse!
Please do not fall for that nonsense.
Imagine if you owed a debt to your bank, and because you are a good, long time customer, your bank decided to pay off your loan in full.
The bankers arrive at your house to tell you the good news, you recognize them walking up to your door, so you don't answer it.
Because you did not acknowledge that your debt is paid in full, does that mean it is not paid?
Of course not.
The bank will send you the note in the mail stamped, "PAID IN FULL."
Not unlike God telling us in 2 Corinthians 5:19 that our debt is paid in full.
And listen to these verses, Galatians 1:4, Who gave himself for our sins that he might deliver us from this present evil world according to the will of God and our Father.
1 Corinthians 15:3, For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
Romans 4:25, Who was delivered for our offenses and was raised again for our justification.
Colossians 1:14, In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins, and it's paid in full whether we want to believe it or not.
Live your life knowing that God is not angry with you over your sins any longer because of what is son accomplished on the cross 2,000 years ago.
Grace and peace.
