Brother Scott's Look in the Book

You May Be a Fool

Scott Evans Episode 5

Send us a text

Have you ever considered the fact that you may be a fool as far as God is concerned? Tune in to find out.

I hope you enjoyed this episode of Brother Scott's Look in the Book, and most of all, I pray you learned from it and that it helped you dive deeper into God's word, which he places above his very name.
(Psalm 138:2 KJV) (2) I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

God gives us instruction on how to study our Bibles:
(2 Timothy 2:15 KJV) (15) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Please do not only go by what I say, but do the work and study for yourself.
"Anything I can talk you into, someone else can talk you out of."

Hey, welcome to episode 5 of Brother Scott's Short Look in the Book.
Are you a fool?
How many would actually answer yes?
But would you want to know if you were a fool based on an objective standard?
Romans 1:21 to 22, Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
1 Corinthians 1:18, For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
1 Corinthians 1:25, Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
1 Corinthians 2:14, But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
So, honestly, ask yourself this all important question based on what you have just heard: Am I a fool?
Well, have you become vain in your imaginations, and is your foolish heart darkened? as mentioned in Romans 1:21?
Do you profess yourself to be wise, but became a fool? as mentioned in Romans 1:22?
Is the preaching of the cross foolishness to you? as mentioned in
1 Corinthians 1:18?
If so, you are one who will perish.
No matter how wise you believe you are, the foolishness of God is wiser than you, and the weakness of God is stronger than you, as mentioned in
1 Corinthians 1:25.
Are you a natural man who receives not the things of the Spirit of God,
for they are foolishness unto you? Neither can you know them, because they are spiritually discerned? as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 2:14?
If any or all of those are true of you, then you very well may be a fool as far as God is concerned, and you are without excuse,
Romans 1:20, For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
It is foolish to refuse to acknowledge Almighty God, God's Son, and the Holy
Spirit.
It is foolish to refuse to believe and trust in Christ's death, burial, and resurrection for your eternal salvation, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.
It is foolish to refuse to believe Ephesians 1:13, In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
And Ephesians 2:8-9, For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Now is the day of salvation.
Please don't wait.
There really is no reason to.
Don't be a fool.
Grace and Peace.
