Brother Scott's Look in the Book
Study along with an open King James Bible to see if what I say is true. You know, like those noble Bereans did with our Apostle Paul's preaching.
Brother Scott's Look in the Book
Part 1: Why I Claim Most Don't Believe Their Bible
Follow along with an open King James Bible and discover how Brother Scott Evans can claim that most self-proclaimed Christians do not believe their Bible. I will back up my claim using God's word. Grace and Peace.
I hope you enjoyed this episode of Brother Scott's Look in the Book, and most of all, I pray you learned from it and that it helped you dive deeper into God's word, which he places above his very name.
(Psalm 138:2 KJV) (2) I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
God gives us instruction on how to study our Bibles:
(2 Timothy 2:15 KJV) (15) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Please do not only go by what I say, but do the work and study for yourself.
"Anything I can talk you into, someone else can talk you out of."

Hey, welcome to Brother Scott's Short Look in the Book episode 6!
This is Part 1 of why I believe most self-proclaimed Christians do not believe their Bible.
As an ambassador for Christ, I must prove all things, 1 Thessalonians 5:21.
When you ask a self-proclaimed Christian, "What must I do to be saved?" most will say, "When you sin, you must ask for forgiveness and keep short accounts with God."
For some reason, they missed the fact the world's sins were forgiven at the cross, 2 Corinthians 5:19.
And they will cite 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
So, what could be the problem with telling someone that?
After all, it's in the Bible.
And I'm sure they have read this next verse, but perhaps never studied it to discover its meaning, 2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
Or, they have heard their pastor brush it off by saying, "Well, that verse means to divide what's true from what's not true."
But what does scripture say it means?
Check out Ephesians 1:13 "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation:"
See there?
The word of truth is the gospel of our salvation which is what we are to rightly divide.
So, think about it, if there is a gospel of our salvation, it stands to reason there is a gospel not of our salvation, correct?
Our apostle Paul declares unto us that the gospel of our salvation is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, which tells us it is Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.
His death for the forgiveness of the world's sins, his burial for putting away the world's sins, and his resurrection for our justification when we believe and trust in the gospel that saves today.
The gospel of our salvation today is believing and trusting in that, ALONE, for our salvation.
There is nothing found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 about confessing our sins or asking for forgiveness for our salvation.
So, this tells us 1 John 1:9 is for future Israel, not us, the body of Christ today.
By the way, nothing wrong with confessing our sins to God as long as we do not believe it will save us.
It will not.
My prayer is, this lesson opens your eyes to what the gospel that saves today is, and it has nothing to do with asking for forgiveness or confessing sins, which are works of the flesh.
Sadly, most self-proclaimed Christians will tell you that IS what you must do.
Nothing could be further from the truth because we are saved by grace, not works.
If it were of works, we could all boast about the works we have done.
Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Grace and Peace.
