Brother Scott's Look in the Book
Study along with an open King James Bible to see if what I say is true. You know, like those noble Bereans did with our Apostle Paul's preaching.
Brother Scott's Look in the Book
Part 4: Why I Claim Most Don't Believe Their Bible
Part 4 in my series why I claim most self-proclaimed Christians do not believe their Bible, and I back up what I claim from the King James Bible. Check it out. It just may change where you spend eternity. Grace and Peace.
I hope you enjoyed this episode of Brother Scott's Look in the Book, and most of all, I pray you learned from it and that it helped you dive deeper into God's word, which he places above his very name.
(Psalm 138:2 KJV) (2) I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
God gives us instruction on how to study our Bibles:
(2 Timothy 2:15 KJV) (15) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Please do not only go by what I say, but do the work and study for yourself.

Hey, welcome to Brother Scott's Short Look in the Book Episode 9.
Today is part 4 of why I claim most self-proclaimed Christians do not believe their Bible.
Jesus said in Matthew 15:11, “Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.”
When what comes out of a man's mouth is not according to the truth of scripture, it defiles him.
For example, what do most self-proclaimed Christians tell someone to do when they are asked about their faith?
They say, "Follow Christ."
OK, so what would following Christ actually look like today?
Well, in order to enter into life, we would be required to keep the commandments.
Matthew 19:17 “but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.”
We would have to be part of the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Matthew 10:5-6 "These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
And Matthew 15:24 “But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
Jesus told a Samaritan woman at the well in John 4:22 “Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.”
And Mark 13:13 “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved
Also, Matthew 6:14-15 "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
Matthew 6:14-15 does not apply to us today.
All the world's sins were forgiven at the cross.
See 2 Corinthians 5:19 in a King James Bible.
Also, Jesus said in Matthew 5:17 “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”
There are more examples, but suffice it to say, Jesus' words are all about Jews in Israel. We're not Jews in Israel, are we?
And this was all BEFORE the cross, right?
AFTER the cross and after the risen Christ saved Saul of Tarsus on the road to Damascus, Christ instructed Saul, later called Paul, to write this about what Paul was teaching.
Galatians 1:12 “For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
And 2 Corinthians 5:16 “Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.”
And 1 Corinthians 11:1 “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.”
You can follow Paul by studying his 13 epistles, Romans through Philemon.
Jesus fulfilled the law, but today we are not under the law but under grace.
My prayer is that now you know it is wrong to tell people to follow Christ. We are to follow Paul as he followed Christ.
Big difference.
Grace and Peace
