Bot Meets World: AI News, Tools, and Hot Takes
The pop-AI podcast. Get the week’s action-oriented AI news stories, with fresh takes you can pretend you came up with.
There’s too much AI news to read each week – who has time to read all those newsletters? Our goal is to condense the key takeaways in a format that’s engaging for engineers while being approachable for Alex’s amazing momma (she hits the Save button on every episode, obv).
Listen to stay in the know about the latest in ai, generative ai, and machine learning tools. Hosted by Alex Furmansky.

Bonus: Crash course on ai chatbots for documents (how do they work!?)
A common use case I've seen for AI is the ability to "chat with" your files and documents. It's the most common explainer I deliver on client calls. After listening to this short episode, you'll have a solid understanding of how these systems are built.
I'll explain everything at both the "explain me like I'm 5" level and the technical engineer level. I cover embeddings, vector databases, vector search, and GPT-based synthesis.
Examples of use cases:
- Load HR policies and then employees can simply ask questions of their HR chatbot rather than HR staff.
- Load precedent legal contracts and then query for new clauses based on precedent
- Load all your personal financial documents and then query for personal tax planning
Incumbent companies like DropBox have announced plans to incorporate such features. Countless upstarts have sprung up in the past 6 months promising to do this for enterprises. Frameworks like Langchain exist for developers who want to quickly hack this together themselves.
