Pregnancy: A Lesson in Patience, Grace, & Honoring Your Body
Today we are speaking with Julie, our favorite labor and delivery nurse, turned yoga instructor, who works largely with pregnant women in her prenatal yoga classes. This episode is a wealth of knowledge, widely discussing advice for women who are pregnant, appropriate yoga and exercise activities, and finding what works for everyone's individual needs.
We go into detail about modifications in yoga for postpartum, flipping a breech baby, the journey of birth for both the mother and baby, and cesarean vs. vaginal births. It's a fascinating discussion that is grounded in fighting for your healthcare as a pregnant woman and no matter the time and distance from birthing your child, or other challenges or injuries to your pelvic floor, you can always seek help if you are having issues.
Remember, yoga is a slow practice in a fast world. No quick fixes, but a true and honest journey back to yourself and to your health.
