swollen."},{"startTime":813.878,"endTime":814.898,"body":"I can't get out of bed."},{"startTime":814.898,"endTime":822.602,"body":"I stopped eating and drinking anything because any movement with my was it measured then?"},{"startTime":887.333,"endTime":895.248,"body":"I don't know if it was measured then, but they were keeping track of orthopedic surgeons"},{"startTime":887.333,"endTime":895.248,"body":"who had post-operative infections."},{"startTime":895.248,"endTime":901.071,"body":"That was one of the indicators that hospitals were tracking."},{"startTime":901.55,"endTime":905.933,"body":"Well, and was kind of a specialty clinic in Dallas."},{"startTime":905.933,"endTime":907.574,"body":"Yeah, it's just the whole thing."},{"startTime":907.654,"endTime":910.195,"body":"Looking back, it was like the perfect storm."},{"startTime":910.576,"endTime":920.303,"body":"Ultimately, I finally went to see a second opinion eight or nine months into this deal,"},{"startTime":910.576,"endTime":920.303,"body":"and I had osteomyelitis, bone infection."},{"startTime":920.303,"endTime":922.104,"body":"Every bone in my wrist was broken."},{"startTime":922.104,"endTime":924.346,"body":"I had no cartilage left."},{"startTime":924.346,"endTime":929.309,"body":"And all the bones in my wrist had dropped into a pile, and it had fused."},{"startTime":943.546,"endTime":952.428,"body":"And I was 41 at the time and he was like, we never ever fully fuse a 41 year old didn't live in New York, at a hotel for my six"},{"startTime":960.106,"endTime":972.96,"body":"week post arm fusion appointment, with a cast from my fingertips to my shoulder trying at that time did I know I'd be in chronic pain as well."},{"startTime":982.793,"endTime":986.036,"body":"And I was in the shower."},{"startTime":986.036,"endTime":993.349,"body":"and I was had for months and months and months with these casts on, I had been pouring"},{"startTime":986.036,"endTime":993.349,"body":"liquid soap over my shoulder and just letting it wash my body."},{"startTime":993.509,"endTime":997.831,"body":"Because if you've ever had a cast from your fingertips to your shoulder, it's very"},{"startTime":993.509,"endTime":997.831,"body":"limiting."},{"startTime":997.831,"endTime":1000.032,"body":"It's you can't even describe it."},{"startTime":1000.072,"endTime":1003.023,"body":"And so that particular hotel didn't have any liquid soap."},{"startTime":1003.023,"endTime":1010.116,"body":"So I took a bar of soap and I tried days later, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer and"},{"startTime":1015.374,"endTime":1017.526,"body":"could not start chemotherapy, said, why are you giving up so much for me?"},{"startTime":1505.428,"endTime":1512.081,"body":"And they said, well, someday you're going to learn that showing up for people is the"},{"startTime":1505.428,"endTime":1512.081,"body":"greatest privilege in this world."},{"startTime":1512.081,"endTime":1518.844,"body":"And you're going to be able to live a strong, healthy life when you get through all this"},{"startTime":1512.081,"endTime":1518.844,"body":"stuff and you're going to do that for other people."},{"startTime":1519.085,"endTime":1521.606,"body":"And so the book of"},{"startTime":1608.982,"endTime":1617.209,"body":"endearment, just illness films, know, stepmother."},{"startTime":1617.209,"endTime":1622.133,"body":"And what I found to be true were most of the films, the patient dies."},{"startTime":1622.214,"endTime":1625.075,"body":"And I thought, well, gosh, I'm going to die."},{"startTime":1625.136,"endTime":1628.079,"body":"There's very little hope in what I'm watching."},{"startTime":1628.079,"endTime":1632.663,"body":"And so I thought, well, that is one narrative, but it's not every
