The Mindset Reset You Didn't Know You Needed

If you’ve ever stared at your laptop while working and thought, “Maybe I should just burn it all down and start over,” this episode is your invitation to pause and breathe. This is Part 1 of a special two-part series, and we’re diving into the mindset and energetics behind that misaligned, stuck feeling that creeps in when your offers, your content, or your launches stop landing the way they used to.

In this episode, I’m walking you through the exact journaling prompts and mindset shifts I use (and give my clients) to help you figure out what’s still aligned — and what’s simply outdated. You don’t need to start from scratch. You just need a reset that matches who you are now. Let’s clean house (strategically, not emotionally) so you can show up like the powerhouse CEO Mom you’ve become.

✨ Don’t miss Part 2 next week — where we’ll go deep on the strategy. But first, do this work.

You don’t need to burn your business down. You just need to rebuild from where you are now, not from who you were when you started. If this episode resonated with you, tag me on Instagram @theyaelbendahan with your biggest “aha” moment — and if you loved it, share with a mompreneur friend and don’t forget to rate and review!

Welcome to the Raising Your Business Podcast. I'm your host, Al Behan, founder of CEO Mom Academy, mom of Six and Lifelong Reading addict. This podcast is here to empower moms to run their businesses and lives like the powerhouse CEO. They are. I want you to believe that you can have the business success you desire. And be present with your family and to give you my best tips and strategies for how to make that happen. I'll be sharing the honest reality of balancing business and motherhood biz models that work for you. Marketing simplicity, and the mindset of A CEO, mom. Now let's dive in. Before we dive in, I wanna just say that this is part one of a two part series called before you burn it all down. Listen to this. In today's episode, we're gonna be covering the mindset and the energetics of what to do when you feel like your business is not really aligned or it's not really working the same way it used to. So we're gonna have the mindset and then energetic energetics piece. And then the second part next week is going to be the strategic piece. So make sure you listen to this before you listen to next week's and vi and vice versa. Make sure that if you're coming in next week's, you're gonna wanna listen to this one first. Because this is going to give you context for the strategy in the next episode. Let me guess. You're in the middle of a launch and you've opened your Google Doc 12 times in a week trying to tweak your offer. You've sat. Nursing your baby or feeding your kids dinner and wondered if maybe you need to just burn everything down and start fresh. You've questioned if maybe you've somehow lost your magic, right? Because the content that used to convert the launches that used to sell out, the energy that used to show up with is just not there anymore. It's not the same. And now you're wondering if you are the problem. And before you burn it all down, you're gonna wanna listen to this. Welcome back to the podcast. Today we're gonna talk about what to do when your business just doesn't feel like you anymore. And how to reset without scrapping everything you've built because you have built something incredible. And I just wanna reach out to you, CEO, mom, and I wanna just, I wish I could be holding your hand right now. I'm telling you, you have already built something. You have already built a business. You are in a place where you might actually know a little bit too much, and we're gonna talk a little bit more about this and how to address this kind of messy middle of business. And this is exactly what we're doing inside of your momentum era. It's a three week. Audio reset for experienced mom entrepreneurs who feel like their business is just no longer a fit for the woman that they've become. It is short, it's strategic, it's energetics, and it's built for clarity, not pressure, not loads of content that's gonna overwhelm you, just small. Impactful tweaks and shifts that you can make on a regular basis to get that reset energy in place to get back to the basics of who you are and the magic of the person that you were when you were building that business and that new excited entrepreneur energy when you're putting things out there and seeing what worked and not even beating yourself up when things didn't work because you had so many ideas. I wanna get you back to that energy and that mindset, and. I wanna bring you back there and help you rebuild and reset in a more strategic more aligned way with the person that you are. Now, we start on May 5th and either is a special presale price, which is going to be going away in two days if you're listening to this on Tuesday when it comes out. So DME reset on Instagram or tap the link in the show notes to join. You are now in your momentum era. I'm calling it now, here's the thing. You do not need to pivot, okay? You do not need to scrap your niche. You definitely do not need to build something from scratch at 2:00 AM while everyone's asleep. Been there, done that. Hi, I am Yael. I do this. This is where I spiral. Whenever I get into my spiraly mode, I'm like, oh my God, maybe need something completely different. And I sit there, start mapping out a whole new offer. That is not what you need. And many of these offers do not actually see the day, the light of day, because then 10:00 AM L looks back and goes, yeah. Was that really necessary or were you just doing that from a place of kind of spiraling and anxiety? Because I do suffer from anxiety. This has happened. I've mentioned this before and I feel and very often we can make decisions or try to scale our businesses for, from a place of fear or from a version of us that doesn't exist anymore. Okay? And that's what I wanna tell you. You are not broken. You are just trying to scale your business. That was built for a version of you that is in the past, right? That version of you who would be, had less capacity or more capacity, right? Maybe that person had less clarity. They didn't have the same systems. They were more in that hustle mode. And now you. You know too much, right? You've seen too much. You feel almost jaded a little bit because like you look at everything that's out there and all the things that are out there, and all the people that are selling the same thing that you do in all the AI and all the content that just going out online and you're like. How can I possibly stand out in this world? Maybe I just, maybe it's just not right for me right now. Maybe I just need to shut it all down and start something new. Go in a different direction, open up a bakery. I don't know. Start an Etsy store, okay? You do not need to start an Etsy store, alright? Unless you have an Etsy store, in which case you should keep going. You wanna do it better, okay? But your business might still look like your 20 20, 20 22 survival mode self and. Here's how you know this, the season that you're in. If you are rewriting sales pages, instead of checking in with your messaging, this might be a symptom. If you're wondering, do I need a new offer? Maybe I should create a new offer, maybe a new offer is gonna solve everything. This might be for you if you feel like you're maybe showing up exactly the same way it used to. You're doing all the same emails, all the same content, but it's just not landing the way it used to. This might be for you. Okay? And if you feel like maybe you used to feel so clear, you like you knew exactly what you wanted to say and you knew exactly what you wanted people to buy and how you wanted them to buy it and now you feel like you're just like opening up Instagram and spiraling and going down this content rabbit hole. Everyone's stuff is so much better than mine. It's probably not. You just need to come back in touch with your own magic, okay? And you are just overdue for some clarity here, and I promise you, you are not alone. So clarity to me does not come from adding more. Alright? It comes from cleaning up what's outdated and really getting back in touch with. With really who you are and like the. Original you the values that you hold, the goals that you have for yourself. And so I'm gonna give you a bunch of prompts to ask yourself, and I'm gonna be going much deeper into these and adding a bunch more inside of your momentum era. So you really wanna be in there when we do this. But these are the same exact kind of things that I ask myself anytime I feel like I am spiraling or I'm going down this rabbit hole of feeling inadequate and imposter syndrome me. And maybe nothing's, nothing's working the same way it used to. So when I'm feeling like all spiraly and oh my goodness. And I did the same launch and then the same launch that made X amount of money last year, now made y amount of money this year and it just, it's not working the same way anymore. These are the kind of questions that I'll ask myself. The first one is, what am I doing just because I've always done it right? Maybe you launched in January because that's what you always do. Maybe you're still, and January is just an example. You can totally launch in January. Okay? But maybe you're just doing something because again, it's always worked for you. So like you're like, okay, this is for sure gonna work. Now maybe you're still selling your signature offer, even though you low key dread delivering it, right? This is your chance to pause and ask yourself, is this truly working or is it just familiar? Okay. Another question you can ask yourself is what's starting to feel heavy? That used to feel light, right? We all have things that used to energize us, but they now feel like obligation. Not because you're lazy, but because you have evolved and the offer, the content, the strategy just hasn't caught up with who you are now, and your body usually knows this before your brain does. Another question to ask yourself is, if I were starting today, if I was starting all over today, what would I keep and what would I burn down? Okay, not from burnout, but from clarity, right? If I drop the pressure to maintain everything, what would I intentionally rebuild and keep? And this one could be a little bit uncomfortable, but also wildly liberating because you might feel, be like, oh my gosh, I actually do not want my signature offer anymore. Okay? This happened to me, by the way, with my CEO Mom Academy program. I just realized that. The content of that. I did not want that to be my signature offer anymore. I really wanted to lean into my mastermind and talking more about leveraging, leveraging your business and creating more leverage and really just like the higher level, like funnel conversations. And while I love the product I service piece, which I teach in CEO Mom Academy, but and I think it's still totally valid. And I think everyone should start with a productized service to build the foundation for their leverage business. A hundred percent. but I just did nott want that to be my signature main offer that I was always pushing people to. And so I've decided to move that into more of a of a self-study course slash maybe I'll make it into a group program in the future. I don't know. But like a limited time group program, like three months or something like that, because I feel like it just wasn't, it just didn't suit like the direction that I wanted to go in. Okay. So that was very scary though, because I've been selling COM Academy in like different iterations with different names, but the same concept, the same content, the same structure. I sold that since 2020. Okay. And I ended up closing it down as the group program that it was at the end of 2023. So I was three years of selling the same thing and then realizing that I just didn't want that to be my main offer anymore. Okay. Now I. Another question I want you to ask yourself is, what offer still lights me up and what do I secretly hope nobody buys? Be honest. That program that you keep promoting out of habit, would you be relieved if nobody enrolled? I have. I had a client who was selling a VIP day for Black Fridays, one of her offers, and then nobody bought it. And then she was like, actually, I realize I'm actually so relieved that nobody bought it. I do not wanna deliver this VIP day in the structure that I was selling it in. But she'd always done it that way. So she was selling it that way. And I want you to also flip it, right? What is the offer that you maybe love delivering or keep dreaming of delivering, but you keep burying it beneath like this. Maybe later, oh, is this the most profitable? I don't know if I should do this. I don't know if this be my main thing, maybe it doesn't fit into the cookie cutter strategy that I learned from this last coach that I worked with. Or maybe I'm afraid to go all in on this thing. Whatever this thing is. Okay. What would I say if I wasn't afraid of being judged? Now this is for me such a hard thing because I am such a people pleaser and I am also an Enneagram three, which means that like lowkey, I just want everyone to like me and think that I'm perfect. Everyone, including my husband, he does not. But even by past clients or by peers, even yourself, right? What is that message that has been knocking at your brain, but you keep muting it because that's not what I'm known for. All right. Or maybe that's, I'm afraid to say this'cause I'm afraid people are gonna disagree with me or cancel me or put me in a Reddit thread or something. Your next level usually lives under the thing that you're scared to say out loud. Alright. Another question, a really good question to ask yourself is, where am I confusing visibility with connection? Because posting more does not always equal selling more. You might be visible and still invisible, right? So it's not about showing up louder, it's about showing up clearer and with connection that actually lands okay. And. If you find that you're like getting in front of a lot of people, but you're like, I feel like I'm losing touch with the actual people. You might just need to connect more. How can you create connection? Can you DM people who are coming into your world? I literally have a zap that sets me up. Like whenever people come into my low ticket offers or my freebies it zaps them and their information into an Airtable. And when I have time, I reach out to people and I'll say, Hey so I just downloaded this. How'd you like it? How are you feeling about it? And it just helps me keep in touch with people and like where they're coming from and what's going on. And it helps me just stay mentally in touch with, their points of view where they currently are right now in a way that doesn't show up when you're just doing a live and then hopping right off what am I overcomplicating to feel in control, right? Because sometimes complexity can give you the illusion of momentum. So maybe tweaking your funnel or adding another upsell or changing your colors or starting over again, right? And it's funny'cause I actually asked Chad GBT this what are my biggest red flags? Which is definitely ask it this question because it's, if you've been working in chatt PT for a while long enough, it knows stuff about you. Okay? It knows stuff about you. And so you can ask it based on what you know of me, what are my biggest red flags, okay? And I. Where was it? It said you default to overcomplicating when you feel uncertain. That is that's my go-to place. So you are not alone here. Okay. I had to really work on. On like actually intentionally shutting myself down and being like, wait, stop. Why are you trying to complicate this? Where could it be simpler? What if this was just simple? So very often the things that moves you forward is simpler than you think, and it just might feel a little bit scarier. Okay. And what belief or rule am I still following that doesn't even apply anymore? So this is the sneakiest one. I have to do live launches to make high ticket sales, right? Or I need x amount of followers before I raise my prices. Or I need to do sales calls because I learned how to do sales calls. And that's the thing, right? That's the thing I should do, right? Or I need to do DM sales. I have clients who are like, I actually love sales calls. Like I really, I wanna get on sales calls with people before I work with them, because I just wanna get a feeling for who they are. And I wanna make sure that I'm, I wanna get a feeling for what they actually need, and I feel like I do that best on a Zoom call. I'm like, by all means, do the sales calls. If you wanna do the sales calls. I personally feel that DM sales are the best way of selling as a mom because it gives you the most flexibility. But who am I to tell you what to do if you feel like this works better for you? So some rules might have been inherited from other coaches or other courses that you were part of. Some others were might have been self-imposed, but all of them are optional. You do not have to have any specific rules. The only rule of business is you need to continue growing your audience, nurturing your audience, and selling to your audience. Those are the three rules of business. That is how you're gonna continue growing. That's pretty much it, right? Everything else is optional. So if you haven't taken notes, these are not surface level journaling prompts, okay? They are. These are decision making filters, and I'm gonna go much deeper into all of these and more inside of your momentum era. So you're gonna wanna jump in and join us, because when you're in the weeds, your brain is going to default to familiar strategies, even if they're not aligned anymore, and that is where the reset begins. Now, I wanna say this clearly, it is not always about your funnel. It's not always about your offer suite or your price point, although I. Obviously, I think, thinking about, if you're doing the same stuff since 2020 or 2022 it definitely is worth taking a look at what you've been doing and does this actually fit the market, the market right now, or your ideal client right now. And maybe it isn't aligned with them, but sometimes it's about how you showing up to those things. So I ask myself when I'm trying to sell something and it feels like maybe things are just not working, am I selling this like I believe in this or am I just hoping that it'll work? Am I launching like a leader or am I hiding behind? Oh, I just don't wanna be annoying. I don't wanna post too much, I don't wanna email too much. I was talking to my friend yesterday and I was saying, oh, I was actually about sending this extra email about this, but I already have a whole bunch of emails scheduled coming up and I was like, wait, there's no rule that says I can't email my people every day. It's my email list. I can do whatever I want. She goes, yeah, you could do whatever you want. I'm like, yeah, I forgot that. You forget that for a second. Are you launching? Are you showing up? Are you selling like a leader, right? Like the person that people should listen to. And the last important thing is, am I making decisions from fear or from power, right? And making decisions from fear is going to just translate into results that come from fear, and those are not going to be great. Alright. And I'm not saying that I know that I also tend to default to one of, again, another one of my red flags, which I learned was waiting until like rock bottom, like I, I romanticize. Like rock bottom a little bit, right? And Chad, GBT said, not in a toxic way, but you do tend to access, clarity, power, creative genius only after things go sideways. And there's a part of you that doesn't fully trust breakthrough without breakdown. So let's rewrite that. And I'm like, oh my gosh, yes. I, that is something I need to, I really need to like just dig into a little more. If you feel like you only know how to make decisions from fear, you only know how to take action from this place of desperation or pressure. I've had another one of my friends and one of my masterminds. I feel like I can only take action from pressure, right? I get inspired all of a sudden like under pressure and I I'm like that too. I will leave things at the last minute and they'll be like, oh my God. And then I'll launch a podcast and edit it in five minutes and then put it up and that's the podcast. Yes, I like to work with that energy a little bit because I am a DH ADHD and that's how my brain works. But also, like it's just not congruent with the way my life goes right now. I don't, I, I don't have the luxury of just waiting till the last minute for everything, right? So all of this is about really energetic congruence, and when your strategy and your energy match, you are going to be absolutely magnetic. Okay? So I want you to think about all these questions and ask yourself these questions. Do a little journaling, take some time. Re-listen to this episode again and just. Sit and think about this a bit before you burn it all down. Okay. Or before you feel like you have to burn down an offer or entire marketing platform or oh shoot, I shouldn't do this anymore. Or maybe I should be doing more of that. Pause. Pause. You might not need to build something new. You might just need to rebuild from who you are now. Not who you were when you first started. And you might need to go back to who you were when you first started and get back to basics and be like why were those things working? What kind of energy was I showing up with? And I remember when I was selling something a little while ago and I felt like I just wasn't showing up. And I was like, who is that EL in 2020? Who just showed up with so much confidence that if she just showed up and sold and talked about her thing over and over again, people would just buy it And they did. Let's tap into that energy, right? So I'm not saying you need to burn down who you are because that person got you to where you are now, and that is freaking incredible. You are still that person. You're the one who made it work before. You're still the one who scaled while raising tiny humans or before you raise tiny humans, right? You just need to make space for this new version of you to lead while staying in touch with the kind of energy that brought you the success before, but without that. Energy of beginner and I don't know anything. And hustle and early imposter syndrome, right? So let's take the pieces of who you were that worked and bring that into the new you. Okay? And that starts with cleaning your house, right? Strategically, not emotionally, a little bit emotionally, but really just cleaning house in your business. And that's what this is all about. That's why I created your momentum era. As I was cleaning my house for Passover, I was like, I feel like I need to do this to my business. And my clients were like, oh my gosh, yes. And I was like, I should create this for my clients. Then I was like, you know what? Maybe I should create this for everybody. I'm creating your momentum era for my clients. Okay. The clients who were like, I just feel like. Things feel stale and they feel like a little old. And I really need to just blow out the cobwebs and get back in touch with the me who was so who, who just showed up, with abandon and with joy and with like excitement because oh my gosh, like you can make money online. This is so amazing. Bring that energy into the expert that you are now and let go of all the cynicism and the and the jaded look. At the industry and go back into that energy of wonder and excitement and look what I did and look what's I'm capable of and look what I can do. And this and more is what we are doing in your momentum era. So those journaling promises I gave you, that is just a tip of the iceberg of what we're gonna be doing in there because we are gonna go deep, okay. To really reconnect with your true self and also build on that to build your. U2 0.0. Okay. The one who's going to go and forge your head with confidence the rest of this year. Who's gonna sell in an aligned way? Who's gonna market in an aligned way, who's gonna create offers that align with both herself and her clients? That's what your momentum era is. You are in your momentum era, you're, you can create your own momentum, but sometimes you need to clean up a little bit before you can get the ball rolling. And that's what it's all about. So we start May 5th, you're gonna get three weeks of strategic audio coaching from me with proms like this and more. This is just a little sample, okay? This is gonna be a Telegram community. They're gonna be weekly q and a threads. We're gonna have a bonus mastermind guest session to plan your summer sales plan. Okay? So you're gonna be able to join a CEO Mom mastermind call with me and my mastermind clients to plan your spacious summer sales. I. Alright. It's just$77 till April 24th. Okay. And then it's gonna go up to 97, either way,$97 for three weeks of coaching with me. Like normally like minimum. Minimum, that would be seven 50. Okay. So you do not need to burn it down. You just need a business that matches who you have become. Okay? And let's build that together in your momentum era. I'm so excited for this and I cannot wait for part two. We're gonna talk a little more about the strategics of resetting your business and the exact shifts that I have you make as my client if you came to me in my mastermind and ask me what to do, alright? I can't wait for that. I'll see you next time. I can't thank you enough for listening to raising your business. I hope this episode has inspired you to take another step towards building a business and life that you love, and growing your income in a way that works for you and your family.
