Carmen Johnston is just the most precious human being. You might know her from the pages of Southern Living or Country Living or maybe from HGTV. I asked her if she is often referred to as the Southern Martha Stewart and she said that it has been mentioned before. Wouldn’t that be a fantastic conversation to be a part of? Someone needs to make that happen and I left it up to Carmen.
I am still pinching myself that she chatted with me. It pays to have a Mama that knows fun people. We talked about how she started her journey of being all of our go-to guru for our yard planting. I asked her what her favorite plant was and of course, she couldn’t give me just one. She is the best source for anything hydrangea. Her tips are so helpful and…well just easy and doable. I ended the call feeling that I can grow anything if I just keep trying. And I am on the hunt for a Kousa Dogwood. You might want to keep your eyes peeled for Carmen Johnston plants!!
