What's up, guys? Dj ESG, and today, season nine, we're talking about ethnic traditions again. I was Irish the other day and today we're going right to the Polish wedding traditions to make your own. And here are some amazing Polish traditions that you guys can do at your wedding. And I'm just gonna go quickly. You can Google this shit too, if you want, because I'm not going through all of it, but I'm gonna give you some of it Polish wedding attire, along with your Polish wedding ceremony and all the traditions that go along with that. And when I say that, I mean the bread and salt ritual that is a huge one and Polish songs and music that come down the aisle too. Amazing, amazing, amazing. There's tons of shit that you can get that's Polish related that would work perfectly for your wedding. And, speaking of that, the Ox and Pinsy ceremony I probably didn't say that right?
Speaker 0:Perhaps the highlight of your wedding is the Ox and Pinny Ceremony, also known as the Unveiling. It occurs around midnight and marks the bride's first night as a married woman, and it's part of the ceremony that bride throats are veiled up in the air to a group of single women, similar to the bouquet toss, and whoever catches it is next in line to get married Whole's Wedding food and drinks and dessert. There are so different ones. Google it. And there's post-wedding traditions too, you know. The next day there's a festivity known as the popper whiny. Think of it as an extended party after party. Uh, by far less formal and much more intimate compared to the actual wedding reception itself.
Speaker 0:And then you can't forget the music. The music is where it's all at, because you have some serious crazy polkas and they are just as much fun as regular music and if you can get involved in that man, it is a good time. So I'm just gonna throw one out of you. I can't sing for shit, but luckily the background music might go along with it. It goes something like this roll out the barrel. We have a barrel of fun. Roll out the barrel. We got the blues on the run, zing boom to rat roll. Ring out a song of good cheer. Now it's time to roll the barrel for the gangs. All here, yo.
Speaker 0:Polka traditions and polka weddings are a fun time, like you know it, because they dance with each other. They're spinning people around their circles, jumping off all over the place people in the polish ethnic wedding tradition. You've got to go to a polish wedding and if you're having a polish wedding man, you can bring some really cool traditions to this. Instead of tossing that bouquet, like I said, you toss that veil man. It is so cool. Obviously, you have to go till about midnight to do it, but I've never met a polish person that goes to bed early. They're up till 4 in the morning. They're party people anyway. Check it out, it's great advice. I
