In this episode, Feliciano School of Business Professor of Economics, Dr. Luis San Vicente Portes, discusses the impact of the coronavirus on the U.S. economy.  

Dr. Portes provides his opinion on several issues related to the virus and the economy. including:

- Short and long term impact to the U.S. economy
- Stimulus plan
- Federal Reserve interest rate cuts
- GDP impact
- Impact to the NJ economy

Dr. Luis San Vicente Portes is a professor teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate level including Macroeconomics, International Economics and Economic Development. He is the author of various publications that have appeared in the Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, Journal of Economic Development, Global Economy Journal, among others.
 
Over the years, he has been involved as a Consultant at World Bank (2010) and Inter-American Development Bank (2002-03). He has also served on the Ministry of Finance Mexico (1999-2000) and Petroleos Mexicanos PEMEX (1998-1999). He comes to the SBUS also as former lecturer in the University of Graz, Georgetown University and Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico. 
 
 Dr. San Vicente Portes received his B.A. in Economics and a Diploma in Business Development and Administration and Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. He continued his pursuit of Economics receiving both his M.A. and later his Ph.D from Georgetown University.
