Hi there. So this is an odd sort of podcast because I really don't have anything profound to say. I don't mean that to sound like I believe I ususally say profound things but I know there are a handful of people who listen to these podcasts every Sunday. I know that because I hear from them. And through that connection over the past months I feel a sense of obligation to at least let folks know what's cookin in the world of Where the Veil Grows Thin.

So, what's cookin is that I love where we live. I love this little shangrala we are creating in our little hamlet of No Name. I love it always but I especially love it when I can put my hands in the dirt and plant things in the raised beds Greg built for us 2 summers ago and in the big old bath tubs we've rescued from various places. I love mowing the grass and running the trimmer to make it look beautiful and inviting. I love talking to the trees and sitting with the hummingbirds who flock every day to feed from the nectar we provide. I love taking strolls and visiting with neighbors.

And, all of these things take time. Time, that in other months of the year I can dedicate to other things like hunkering down inside a warm home and recording podcasts.

So, what I've come to tell you this morning is that while the ground is showing, and the flowers are blooming and the grass is growing and the hummers need food, these podcasts will be random and sporadic. For most of our listeners, I have no doubt that they won't think twice about it but for that handful of you that actually look forward to Sunday mornings, I wanted you to know I appreciate your dedication to these podcasts and I appreciate the emotional support your listening to them gives me. I really appreciate that people are still moved to buy me coffee on the website and that they take the time to write little notes of thanks.

Right now, though, all I want to do is be outside.

And sometimes to take naps in the hammock.

All the while ruminating on my “When I Die” notebook!

 More about that next time.

And until next time, THANK YOU. Blessings to you. And I hope I see you again WTVGT
