We’re in challenging times—and it’s showing up in our marketing. What worked just a few months ago no longer seems to land the same way. The strategies, the numbers, even the energy—it’s all shifted. But one thing hasn’t changed: the importance of continuing to show up, connect with your audience, and build genuine relationships. So how do we keep taking action when the rules have changed?
In this episode, I open up about what it really feels like to market in this current season. Things have shifted. The noise is louder, the results are slower—and maybe you’re wondering if you’re the only one feeling this way. You’re not
On this episode , I talked about:
This isn’t a how-to. It’s a heart check.
A reminder that even in a noisy, fast-paced world, you’re allowed to slow down, show up differently, and still make an impact. Sometimes the best strategy is to go back to the basics—with a heart that’s truly led.

Our hearts are in LA. If you have been following the news, you may have seen that wildfires impacted various parts of LA County in California.
In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It podcast episode, I provide three tools to help you regulate your nervous system during challenging times such as these.
As we witness the community, organizations, and small businesses collectively coming together to provide resources and assistance to those in need, I want to remind you that taking care of your mental health is just as important too. Whether you were directly affected by this event or not, we all can feel the ripple effect when tragedy strikes.
These three simple tools are helpful whenever you feel dysregulated, stressed, overwhelmed, or disconnected from your centered self.
The first thing that you can do to regulate your nervous system is to take something off your To-Do list. Not everything is a priority, and it is okay to give yourself grace, compassion, and permission to not be at 100% capacity. Prioritize what absolutely has to get done, and your mental health. Step two in regulating your nervous system is to go back to your breath. Breathing exercises like box breathing can help bring you to calmness in a simple way. It can also be helpful to physically place your hands over your heart and think about someone or something that provides you with unconditional love. This exercise helps open up the feelings of being safe, secure, and deeply loved. The final tool I share is to practice tea meditation. Teas like lavender, ginseng, and osha root have calming benefits that regulate your nervous system and boost your immunity. Combining tea with mindfulness while drinking will help you release stress and tension.
The next thing I share was a life changer for me: Lower your expectations of yourself during these challenging times. It's okay to need help, not to be functioning at your normal capacity, and to require less of yourself. Simple self-care tools and community will help you navigate stressful events collectively.

In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It podcast episode, I deep dive into three major lessons I learned in 2024. Most of my lessons came from failures that happened in 2024. And I choose to look at those failures as GIFTS. They are also gifts for you- because they will help you build from ease and flow.
The first lesson I experienced was that what worked for me in the previous years was no longer producing the same results. This led to my biggest lesson in 2024.
2024 was the year when I discovered that I could build 100% from Source Energy vs. Hustle Energy. This is where I disconnected from all the “doing” work and deeply connected to my vision. The second lesson is learning how I can create more breakthrough opportunities for my clients to accelerate in achieving their goals. And finally, my third lesson from 2024 is to no longer compare myself to other podcasters. I am a coach first, not just a podcaster.
I love coaching women, helping them achieve their goals and transform their lives, and I want to teach you to do the same. I know these lessons will support you in building a successful 2025.

Want to know how to guarantee you reach your GOALS for 2025? Ask yourself the right question.
In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It podcast episode, I talk about a powerful question you need to ask yourself for 2025.
“What can I let go of DOING so I can focus more on BEING the person who reaches the Goal?"
Inspiration comes when you release the things you need to be doing to make room to focus on who you get to BE. When you spend more time connected to your Beingness- inspiration will open you up, you'll get new ideas, and the doing will become easier.
And the connection to who you are Being means awareness around your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, intentions, and your vibration. All of which - you control!

Over the weekend, I attended a three-day silent retreat. No phones, no laptops, no talking, no interaction. And did you know what happened to me during this time? Through the Silence, I heard my true voice. It felt so good to let go of all the outside noise. Through being STILL, I discovered calm, beauty, and self-love.
In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It podcast episode, I discuss the value of stillness and being silent. We spend so much time in the DOING of our work, careers, family, and personal goals that we often forget (or don’t know how) to be still and just BE. When you are still, you can actually connect with ‘Source’ energy. Source energy can go by many names, but ultimately, it is the energy you can tap into at any given moment because it is always with you. You just have to be still to find it. If being still is hard to do, then consider moments of awareness where you are mindful during the activity you are doing.
During my time at the Silent Retreat, I had many awakenings. Most of them came from the mindfulness that opened up when I was still, like mindfulness around eating and food. I also noticed nature more and felt moments of extreme connection to everything around me. This Source energy is available to you also. Take a deep breath and connect with it.

Have you ever wondered what is the difference between therapy and coaching? Or the Difference between change and transformation?
Well, tune in because we may have some answers for you.
In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It podcast episode, I collaborate with Licensed Therapist, speaker, and the Heal and Manifest podcast host Cynthia Flores, where we discuss similar themes around transformational work, mindset, and what taking action looks like in the therapy and coaching realms. While therapy and coaching are two separate areas of self-discovery work, both are beneficial when working in tandem, especially in the Latino community.
Cynthia describes the origin of how she became a therapist based on her own experience with intergenerational trauma and how she benefited from transformation healing through vulnerability and finding her voice.
We also explore how therapy and coaching address deep-rooted limiting beliefs and false narratives that keep us from living the lives we truly want. Therapy helps identify the origins of the limiting beliefs, while coaching can focus more on actionable steps to shift mindset and behavior.
Cynthia and I discuss the power of reframing limiting beliefs, the need for accountability for our actions, and the crucial role of finding the right community in self-discovery and personal growth.

Did you know with less than four weeks left in the year, your brain is going to try to sabotage you?
Your brain will work overtime in December to convince you that you have accomplished nothing or have not done enough in 2024. If you feel like this is you, then listen up.
In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It podcast episode, I discuss the three ways your brain will try to sabotage your productivity with negative thoughts as the end of the year approaches and teach you how to prepare for 2025. I teach you what to do to combat these negative thoughts and how to prevent self-sabotage.
You can actually use December to help you prepare for 2025. How do you do this? Well, it starts with managing your brain and focusing on what you have completed this year. Then you need to create boundaries around how you spend your time so you can use your time wisely in Dec. to get ready for taking bold action in 2025!

Do you know the difference between goal setting and goal achieving?
When people come to me for coaching on hitting their goals, they usually think that all they need is a plan, a strategy, and the action steps listed. But we often don’t discuss two essential areas of goal-achieving: Evaluation and Pivoting.
In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It podcast episode, I discuss the often-overlooked realistic aspects of goal achievement. We tend to spend too much time on the goal-setting phase of our business.
However, implementing that plan is more critical. That means taking real action on the goal. After "getting in the water," the next step is evaluating your progress. Collecting data is vital to understanding what works for your business and what does not work. This information is vital to your business and career success. The quicker you can evaluate, the quicker you can pivot. The quicker you can pivot, the quicker you will achieve your goal.

If you are an entrepreneur, run any sort of business, or are building a career, then you are going to have to market yourself.
Building an amazing marketing muscle for your business is more than a strategic plan. It’s more about creating the AUTHENTICITY that is your BRAND.
In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It podcast episode, I teach three tools to strengthen your marketing muscle. Marketing is a tool that you can use to generate whatever you want. It starts with getting visible and creating trusting relationships between yourself and your audience. Then, from that audience, you begin to build a community that you offer value to. Finally, and most importantly, BE THE WORK. Be the walking billboard representing your work that actually calls in your clients through your energy.
Remember, to succeed, you need to manage your way of being, take consistent action, and don’t give up till you get there.
Marketing is really key at each phase of growing your business. And you can start taking these steps NOW.

Since the election… There have been a lot of heavy feelings happening all over the place. If you have been feeling mad, confused, afraid, betrayed, and/or sad as a result of this election, I want you to know that all of your feelings are valid. If you want to do something about those feelings, listen closely; I have something I can teach you.
In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It podcast episode, I share three simple tools to help process the emotional aftermath caused by this election. For many of us, the result was a reality check on where the country is headed. Like many I know, my feelings are still very raw. But I also gained clarity that I didn’t have a week ago. And I am more committed to my vision than ever before.
The 3 steps process starts with naming your emotions out loud. Bring awareness to what you are feeling. Once you can clearly state what you are feeling, you move into the beginning of processing those feelings. Processing includes journaling, talking it out with a friend, crying, or going for a walk. You don’t want to sit with your feelings. You want to move them through your body and being.
And finally, determine where you will use the energy of your feelings to create something or take action. Use this energy to further your agenda or your goals. Or you can use the energy to create a new vision or action step.
Everything we create comes from a place of love and authenticity.
Let's USE this time in history. Let's use this ENERGY to CREATE what we want. Use the heavy feelings you are experiencing to move YOU and YOUR vision forward. Use the stimulus from this event to gain clarity on what your assignment is. Use this event to help you solidify who you really are, your values, and your mission.
This is why this has happened.

These are STIMULATING times!
Especially if you are living in L.A.
Between the World Series, Halloween, Dia de los Muertos, AND the election, there’s a lot of emotional energy.
As a Latina who deeply feels this stimulation, combined with my ADHD, it can be overwhelming. And I know that I am not the only one feeling this.
In this week’s Yes Mujer Build It episode, I detail the importance of awareness and managing overwhelming stimuli during this election season and share a couple of self-care and stimulus overload tools that encourage you to trust your feelings, connect with your ancestors, and put your well-being first.
The first step is to become aware of your emotional sensitivity. When building this awareness, it is also important to understand where this emotional sensitivity comes from and that it is actually a gift.
Second, trust your inner knowing. As women of color we are deeply connected to our inner knowing, this is the connection we feel instinctively to our ancestors.
Learn to harness this information and power.
Lastly, give yourself the time to turn off the noise, take time off, and ground yourself in your own sanctuary. You can even create your own Sanctuary.
